"Cuzins Seafood and Clam Bar’s New Brunswick operation has been a long time coming, filling the site that was occupied by the much-missed Due Mari. The space is big, with a dramatic bar area and then a large area of tables with exposed brick and interesting woodwork. A couple of things strike. One is that it is noisy – all those hard surfaces bounce the sound around, particularly when busy as it was at 6.00 on a Wednesday. The other is a large glass freezer of joints of meat; this is maybe slightly odd for a seafood restaurant and perhaps somewhat disconcerting for pescatarians.Service was attentive but a little chaotic – they are still settling in so that is not surprising. They were very late with one main, but knocked it off the bill which was a good recognition that there was an issue. There were two big menus, the specials was nearly as long as the main food menu. Bread was decent, maybe a little undecided whether it was toasted or just a bit dry. It was good to arrive with a mix of olive oil, butter, and tomato. Oysters were excellent in flavor. The shucker may need a bit more practice in avoiding fragments being left in the oyster though. Great horseradish as well as other options. For mains we had swordfish and lobster roll. The swordfish had a good flavor, although it lost delicacy through being a bit overcooked. The mash and spinach with it were good in a comfort-good type way. The lobster roll was a bit too busy, obscuring the central role of the lobster. The asparagus with parmesan side was awful. The asparagus was tough. The parmesan was in a big glutinous matt. What should be an outstanding complement (as Salt next door can do) was a failure. And the truffle fries were deeply disappointing – it felt like they had sat around for a while and got soggy. The seasonal pecan crisp of the day we had for dessert was also ordinary. The if it says crisp it should be crisp; it wasn’t. The wine by the glass options were fine although the house prosecco was rather too sweet for our taste. Overall, it was a decent evening with positive ambience and some good aspects. A bit of room for improvement – we will be going back to check"

"I 've only ordered take out here via Door Dash so I can 't speak to service. I think the food is great. 1. Spaghetti and Meatballs holy crap, one of the few restaurants on the planet that know how to cook non homemade spaghetti to al dente without overdoing it. I was shocked. I 've had it 6 or 7 times and never had overcooked pasta. It has a great chew to it. The sauce is great! The meatballs are a little bit tough, good flavor but could use some more panade mixed with the meat. Better though than the italian restaraunts (see my other reviews) in the area. Probably their best dish. Don 't sleep on it. 2. Fra Diavlo sauce I got it with TONS of seafood and the crispy calamari on the side. How considered to put the breaded item on the side so it doesn 't get soggy (and especially calamari can get over cooked even in low heat of sitting sauce). GREAT job. 3. Quahog chowder is divine. Creamy, lots of solid potatoes that aren 't over cooked. I guess it 's a bit too much broth as compared to the actual good stuff, but the broth is divine...peppery, creamy, and seafood tasting. LOVE their chowder. 4. Baksed Stuff Shrimp was disappointing. The stuffing all came on the side of the shrimp. They weren 't stuffed. It was strange. Flavor was fine but shrimp way over cooked judged by how bad they curled up. 5. Original pizza. Good, but a little sloppy. Curst broke down under the weight and water of all the naturally watery toppings on top. Could take or leave. Not their marque thing. 6. French fries. Amazing. Obviously they aren 't handcut, but they aren 't the standard ones you get from restaurants that buy frozen fries. They are different, crispy, well cooked. GREAT job. Oh but I couldn 't get a side of ketchup with them no matter how many times I asked. Lastly, one criticism...if you 're going to advertise on grub hub, please don 't tell me the restaurant has no ability to send plastic utensils with the order. Or a small container of parm cheese or even a small container of ketchup when you order fries or a burger.. If you cant provide plastic cutlery, don 't advertise on DoorDash or just buy a case of it. It 's very inexpensive. I was called and told we don 't have plastic cutlery my response was then don 't do take out food . I just moved into my house and had nothing here. Eating spaghettini with a pair of chopsticks I had leftover was pretty impossible. Go get some little tubs, fill them with parm cheese and ketchup. It 's not that expensive or difficult and you can 't have that many to go orders as it 's a sit down place and you don 't offer your own delivery. Make our customer experience easier and I 'll change my rating to 5 stars. This is very poor customer service. I think the food is GOOD, I can 't speak to the service. I would just say, if you want to be a delivery option for the big boy services (Uber Eats, Door Dash and Grubhub), get some friggin plastic silverware and be prepared to throw a little thing of parm cheese in the bag."

"If I could give zero stars I would. I have been here a few times in the past and was never really SUPER impressed with what they offered, but nothing wrong was done to me... Until this past weekend. 6 of us tried to walk into the establishment. 1 of the 6 (my boyfriend) is a disabled vet with a service dog. As we tried to walk in a rude man in an apron (smoking a cigarette by trash containers) yelled at us and said no dogs in the restaurant! My boyfriend turned around an said She 's a service dog. To which the man responded I don 't care, I 'm the owner there 's no dogs in there Do you have her certifications . My boyfriend informed the owner he doesn 't carry paperwork that there was no REAL paperwork that could be provided as ANYONE can purchase fake certs. online. The owner and my boyfriend went back and forth for about 2 minutes or so before he called over a security guard told him to take care of the situation . You would think we were trying to cause a ruckus they way he was treating and talking to us. Mind you, all of us are adults, 33+. The owner ran off. The security guard said He 's my boss. I 'm sorry, I would have let you in. Finally, after taking in the whole situation in my boyfriend went through his wallet and found his service dog card, which clearly states all the do 's and don 't of the business owners. One of the DONT 'S is they are not allowed to ask for any documentation. My boyfriend went in trying to find the owner to show him the card but apparently He left . Really? He left? It hadn 't been more than 5 minutes. Owner is completely disrespectful and very unprofessional. He should make himself more knowledgeable of service animals."
