"Ordered tuna gimbap appetizer and kalbitang main. The gimbap was not too strong, but not too weak on flavor; it just met expectations. The kalbitang however was underwhelming in flavor, could have added more seasoning, because the bone broth tasted like a diluted/watered down bone broth with a hint of salt and pepper, otherwise there are 2 large chunks of meat that fall right off the bones very easily and was somewhat tender. And in traditional Korean fashion, you are served with free side dishes, im not sure if the side dishes change from day to day, but in my case I was served with seasoned bean sprouts, kimchi (of course, but it tasted like the “fresh/unfermented” kimchi) and marinaded cucumbers. Overall, this place is average, I’d give it 3.5 stars for food, service, and atmosphere (I like small and compact pocket places like this). Side note: I’m from the west coast born and raised where 1/3 of the city population is korean and I go to SK for 1 month every year so I know how everything is supposed to taste."
