"My hubby and I stumbled on this place in 2015 when we were dating. In 2016, he took me here after he proposed to me. In 2017, before our wedding, he brought all his friends who had traveled down to enjoy dinner before the event. It has been a part of ourmost beautiful memories. The portions are beyond generous, and delectable!!! I?m also gluten-free, and there are so manydelicious options. I also highly suggest the gluten-free garlic bread dipped in the olive oil mix, it?s divine!! They can be alittle cheeky if you show up before they open. Even 5 min before they open. "We made a reservation and arrived on time, but no one acknowledged us. Finally, the manager looked at us and asked if we were waiting for a table. After waiting for 20 more minutes and at least six different staff members passing by us, we decided to leave. We never had the opportunity to taste the food, and we would not return due to the poor experience."

"Don't be put off by the exterior of this little gem. Once inside you will find a lively classic family run Chinese restaurant, Of all the vegan dishes we loved the Dim Sum. The fake Pork Buns were the most amazing. As a whole food plant based consumer the decadence of a sweet, white flour steamed bun filled with sweet sauce and bits of stuff that tasted like pork was quite decadent. We had not eaten Dim Sum for over 10 years but finally we can! The other vegan dishes are good and typically very oily, but you have to come here for your once in awhile treat!"

"The food I received was greasy and unappetizing. I genuinely believe I may have gotten food poisoning after eating here. The delivery took over an hour, and the driver was quite rude and disrespectful, struggling to follow the directions I provided. When I called the restaurant to inquire about the status of my order after the wait time exceeded what they had initially promised, a woman on the line informed me that she had no idea how much longer it would be. This is unacceptable customer service! The food arrived cold and saturated in grease, and shortly after eating, I felt nauseous and ended up vomiting a few hours later. I would NEVER order from this terrible place again!"

"Triple crown restaurant! Let me get into it! The food here was very good. If you don’t know TCR is a dimsum place. All the food is very good. The quality is great! You can taste how good each dish is that you order. And the price is worth every bite! The service was okay seemed a little chaotic with the amount of people who work there walking around. The atmosphere was great. You can over look the main road and see people and things happening outside which is a nice change! It defiantly was welcoming when you first walk in. Overall, I will say give TCR a shot if you wanna have good tasting dimsum."

"Executive Chef Joseph Balbo has something to be proud of. Not only are his selections and menu recommendations STELLAR , but what has changed in this restaurant over the past 2 weeks is.unbelievable. and there is so much more to come!! I just hope i can use open table and continue to get reservations here in the future..the secret is out.!!! From the arugala. Fig and goat cheese pizza pie, the rice balls in onion soup, brazed short ribs, tuna, gnocchi and home made pasta, eveything was off the hook. The staff, ambiance, and wine selection was terrific...we will definately be back.. Congratulations to the owners, staff. and Chef Joe...well done!!!"

"I ordered a cheese steak wrap with fries and a tuna salad. It was excellent the wrap was better, than the traditional roll that is normally used for cheese steaks. Plus a wrap has less calories. The cheese steak wasn't oily at all which was a major plus, the onions and peppers really enhanced the flavor. The tuna salad was great. It had mixed lettuce, plum tomatoes,olives,cucumbers, and onions with a generous amount of tuna, with a soft small roll on the side. I was very pleased with the food. I normally bought pizza and wings from Frank's but will definitely order other dishes from now on. Thanks for the great food. I highly recommend Frank's."

"We haven’t been here in at least 15 years. Figured we were due. Very disappointed. We didn’t want the busy weekend fair with the singing. Just a quiet dinner. The inside decor looked about the same, dated, and in need of some repairs/touch-ups, but we weren’t concerned about that. Service was good/average. No issues there. But the foodis where it was a disappointment. We ordered two entrees, the house Braciole, and chicken Vesuvio. We had two different soups with our meals which were just ‘ok’ compared to other places in the area. The garlic dinner rolls were good too. The chicken Vesuvio was a decent portion (thigh, breast, leg, and wing) along with a few potato wedges, but the flavor was very disappointing, and I consider myself a Vesuvio fanatic. I have had much better at less ‘authentic’ locations. The braciole was the worst of all. While the portion was good, the rolled up meat was extremely questionable?? Coming from an Italian household and knowing different regions use various fillings/pastes between the steak, I was really disappointed. First off the steak?? I felt the “steak” used was almost a chicken breast?? Or it was a minced steak patty?? We were literally afraid to ask our server what mystery meat was used!! The filling had pine nuts and raisins, which was a first for us. Again, we understand different regions use various fillings, but this combo and meat used was not what we were used to or expected. I mean I was expecting a thinly pounded skirt steak, smothered with garlic, cheese, and breadcrumbs, and just rolled up and thrown into some sauce not at all what we received. Sorry Tony, but your establishment WAS a hit years ago for us, but we will not be coming back."

"Just moved here from N.J. but had eaten here before. Now my go-to place for Italian food. The menu is filled with lots of choices.Within a 10 day period, I enjoyed a meatball parm sandwich, shrimp parm dinner, chicken parm dinner, and spaghetti and meatball dinner. This last dish sounds so simple, but it was the most delicious simple meal I've ever eaten, and I'm 78.The prices are incredibly low for what you get. The nightly specials are amazing and include soup/ salad, garlic bread, and dessert.The staff are very attentive to your needs and requests. "This place is like a hidden gem. They nail all the Italian-American classics, with my favorite being the shrimp parmesan, but they also offer upscale specialties that you’d find in the best restaurants, all at surprisingly reasonable prices. The waiting staff is professional and friendly, and the atmosphere is comfortable. Make sure to make reservations on weekends, as it’s become increasingly popular! You can’t miss the roasted calamari (the best I’ve ever had), the mixed grill when it's a special, paella, grilled salmon, sambuca shrimp, orecchiette with sausage, and sautéed broccoli rabe with garlic. They serve a fantastic risotto with various specials (definitely try the mushroom risotto) as well. The desserts and cappuccino are also wonderful—don’t miss the zeppoles! I’ve tried most items on the menu and have never been disappointed; I’m always impressed. The location, where the old Pietro’s used to be (next to the old Blockbuster), is perfect, with plenty of parking. Plus, the new ShopRite wine and liquor store is right next door, so you can easily grab a bottle, especially since A Taste of Italy is BYO! I am a happy customer and visit at least three times a week, giving me plenty of insight into this restaurant compared to others who only pop in occasionally. Thank you, Louis and team! There’s truly nothing of this quality anywhere nearby, especially for the price—it's a no-brainer. I've already hosted three birthday parties here and plan to organize more events. They have a catering menu, which received rave reviews during my daughter’s birthday party and my mother's senior center holiday gathering. Mom's Italian friends were thrilled with the food—veramente delizioso! My family loves this place, and it’s our top choice whenever we go out to eat."

"Had my daughter's 30th birthday dinner here and it was amazing. The service from our waitress was awesome (I believe her name was Kaitlyn, not sure if Im spelling that right), our food was wonderful and everything was as I remembered. I'm so happy we had it here. Everyone enjoyed their food. The quantity as well as the quality were both on point. The only thing I wished was different was that we were in our own section as there was 17 of us and I felt like we were disturbing other patrons. "This restaurant is usually always good. A go to for our family for everything down to big birthday parties but lately the food has been just okay. Their customer service is great but the food has been coming out so sloppily made. It’s getting worseevery time, I figured I’d order early and I’d get a better result but I just got my delivery at 4:00pm and it looks superrushed. $85 dollar order and everything looks like they just didn’t care how it was sent out to someone’s home. It sucksbecause there aren’t many good Italian restaurants out here. I think this will be my last order.."

"The meat was cooked very good but my roasted vegetables were under done. Basically a raw potato that had been seared. I didn't fuss because I wasn't going to eat the potato anyway but it was underdone. Also unfortunately they only have one bathroom which was right next to our table so if you get a table near the bathroom prepared to basically have people standing right behind you at all times. Most of the food was really tasty."

"We stopped in having looked for an Italian place to eat at over the New Year's weekend. We got there before the dinner rush and ordered starters and entrees. Everything was hot and delicious and we enjoyed watching the cooks in the kitchen from our table. There is standard Italian fare and specials. The atmosphere is friendly and the space is tight but not unlike any European bistro. The only annoying thing was the inconsiderate patrons that kept going in and out of a patio door and letting in blasts of cold air, instead of using front door. There is plenty of free parking, a must for me when in San Diego."

"I came here today excited because I heard the food was great. The service was trash, the server/host who ever she was with the red apron was rude along with the young man she was with. She was rude in how she spoke to us and never came to the table. After waiting a few mins I put up my hand to let the young guy know we was ready he look at us don’t acknowledge us walked away to chat with the rude young lady. They wasn’t doing but standing around. So we left I work hard for my money, I’m not gonna spend it at a place that discriminate against blacks and she made sure the white people sat and got their food. "Came here to celebrate a Birthday, but was worried because I haven't been here since before Covid. And I was concerned the food and service changed. Well I was concerned over nothing. The food was better than I remember. The waitress was great, after we were seated, they immediatly brought Garlic Knots to the table. The Garlic Knots were so soft it was like eating an out the oven biscuit, with Garlic baked in and garlic oil and Parmesan cheese on top. And they had some tomato spread that went well with it. I could of eaten a dozen of them. But that bread saved us money, because we didnt order appetizers. She ordered Angel Hair Primavera with Chicken. The portion was nice. Definitely food to take home, which was the next day's lunch. I wasn't sure what to get, so I went with their special, Honey-Glazed Half-Chicken over spicey/sweet Brussel Sprouts. I don't know how they cooked the chicken but I was tasting the Honey-Glaze within the meat. It was so good. Not huge fan of Brussel Sprouts, but it was the perfect compliment to the sweetness of the chicken. We enjoyed the meal so much, and glad we got there when we did. Because by the time we noticed the place was very busy. As we ate our meals, we enjoyed watching the other dishes being served. They do a great job with food presentation. But the waitress made the night for us, but definitely for me. Like i said, it was a birthday dinner, and we said that to the waitress as we were seated. When we finsihed and was enjoying the ambiance, without me asking the waitress, she brought over a small cup filled whip cream and a candle and sang Happy Birthday. Again, I didnt ask her to do this, she took it upon herself to do this. It's those small gestures that made the night even better. Love this place."

"I've been a big fan of Baretta for years, but recently they've raised their prices significantly! $9 for a cheesesteak? Seriously? They're charging an extra 50 cents for a tiny sprinkle of Old Bay on the fries? And $1.50 for a few pieces of celery with wings? Who pays extra for that? No one! It's just plain greedy. I won't be returning—State Street Pizza is my new go-to now."
