"Now, onto the details of our experience. We were seated promptly, and there's a small bar area with additional seating, suggesting the possibility of alcohol, which is a nice touch! Just to note, our table was clean, though the floor was scattered with peanut shells. I actually see that as a positive sign! I had my two-year-old with me, which can be a bit tricky since toddlers often get hungry and restless. However, he was thrilled to discover a tin bucket of peanuts right at the center of our table—it felt like a treasure hunt!
Our server was a young man who did a fantastic job! Although he seemed new, he was attentive and eager to meet our needs. For our appetizer, we ordered a jalapeño pimento cheese spread served with toasted bread, which arrived in about ten minutes. It was spicy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious—everyone loved it.
For our main course, my husband and I opted for cheeseburgers while our son had a kids' mac and cheese. Starting with my toddler's meal: it was amazing! The mac and cheese was smothered in cheese and topped with crispy bacon bits, and it came with perfectly golden fries. I may or may not have snuck a few bites—and I have no regrets!
Now, about the hamburgers—oh my goodness, they were fantastic! This could easily be one of my top five spots for a burger. The patties were hand-formed and slightly uneven, which added to their appeal. They were topped with fresh lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and came with ketchup and mayo on the side. You could really taste the care that went into making them. The bun was perfectly toasted, and the meat was cooked just right, boasting a delicious smoky flavor.
We only waited about 15 minutes for our food, which is impressive considering how busy it was. Overall, I left feeling very satisfied with this new spot and excited to have discovered such a delightful place to eat. I highly recommend checking it out!"
