"Hate to write this review but our service was one of the worst I 've ever gotten. Our reservation is at 7pm and didn 't get seated until 7:20pm. We had an older lady who gave us a menu and didn 't come back until 7:50pm. Noted we didn 't get any water or bread while waiting. Finally we put in an order and appetizers did not arrive until 8:15 (30 mins+ . Then entree did not arrive until 9pm. It 's been two hours at this point! We quickly ate and just wanted to get out of there as desserts would prob been another 30 mins. Worst of all, the older lady who I felt bad for, was condescending and rude. She would talk to all other tables and did not check in nor acknowledge us throughout the meal. Someone else came to refill our water, gave us more bread. I had to ask the other person that I wanted dessert to go since she was too busy chatting with another table for at least 10 mins. When she finally came to us she got upset and said you shouldn 't have told them you want dessert to go well okay I wouldn 't if you were non existent for the past two hours and I needed SOME service. Customer service was the worst, and you think the food would make up for it. However this is worst than Outback Steakhouse, the steak was dry and covered in a cream sauce. For this price I rather go to a more reputable steakhouse, they cannot say they are a long institution and think it 's an excuse for bad food and service. We 've been to Musso and Franks and Lawrys multiple times and both have been around for a long time, but at least their service and food match their reputable name. Save yourself the headache."

"Had a house cocktail, the salmon entree and a dessert. High marks for my food and drink. The salmon was cooked perfectly... like melt in your mouth good. Each piece of the meal made sense and was delicious. It was a good portion of food and I was definitely full at the end. My partner had the halibut fish and chips. He felt it was nothing special, comparable to the chain restaurant Mo's version and therefore seemed overpriced for what you got. The service was okay. I had pretty much eaten most of my salmon before I was asked how everything was. Fortunately it was amazing otherwise I would have been waiting quite awhile to fix anything. Had to wait long time for help, never asked if I wanted another cocktail, and had to flag down the server for the tab after finishing our dessert. Server in next station was rocking it so it really highlighted our lack of attentive service."

"Terrible ... The waitress reeked of smoke everytime she spoke ... Now I know that the manager must have smelled her and should have sent her home because it was that bad ... Her name was ' Alex ' she also never came back to our table after she gave us the check and she promised to give us a water to go ... The food was cold and probably because it took forever to get it out to us and this was when they first opened up at AM and there was about other people there told the manager about it nothing was done ... "Such a magical experience, went for dinner for our 2nd anniversary. My now fiancé proposed at dinner and I’d just like to thank everyone who helped him make it possible. "What an awful experience. Food was absolutely disgusting. Started with Calamari, which was soggy and rubbery, tasted like it was freezer food, not house prepared. Had kids split the soprasatta pizza. Some mystery meat on it tasted spoiled. Steak was just okay, but at that price point you'd expect PRIME not Choice. I had crab cakes with filet medallions and hollandaise sauce. Crab cakes, again, tasted like they were from a freezer. Mushy and old tasting. Overall, nobody got sick but it was straight out of a Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares. Grossest food I've paid more than $20 a plate for. Thank god nobody ordered sushi!!!"

"Visited 4/22/22. Received very good service here (somewhat slower the second half, but we weren 't in a hurry , and the food was delicious. Had a little bit of a mishap with my son 's meal where his mac 'n ' cheese had a strange taste, and the restaurant and server handled it very well and provided a chicken fingers meal free of charge and also a surprise free desert (of which we were too full to take more than a few bites . "We made a reservation for 12 send then had an additional person added when we arrived to the restaurant and they were able to accommodate us which was one of the things I loved most about this place but wveything else just wasn't up to par. The table took over 10 min to get ready eventhough we had all arrived earlier and were ready to be seated 5 min before the intended reservation time, the server was a little standoffish, we asked him to split check in the beginning and he brushed us off and proceeded to do things his own way. The food that was recommended was ok. What really bothered me was when ee had to pay the bill, he split the bill in four without asking us and we were left trying to figure out who had what and some of us needed up paying a lot more then others. I understand there's a shortage of employees but they should still be selective with the ones they hire because this experience could've been a lot better had the server just stopped for a minute and listen to his customers."

Outstanding service from experienced staff that are here because they want to be, not have to be . "Waiter Johnathan was amazing as always. This is our 4th time dining at Hyde Park. Was consistent and flavorful. . The Signature Bacon app was tasty likely my favorite. Steaks x 3 were absolutely perfect. Proper Temp and full of flavor. 2 Dale Jarrett and one Bone in Filet. Chicken Milanese was crisp with lemon/capers and super tender. "We went for a late birthday dinner on a Saturday night and the restaurant was a teenage hangout on the dining room side and overrun with a rowdy semi-formal college function on the hibachi side (said event relegated our party of five reservation from the hibachi-side to the dining room area). If their atmosphere is like this at Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse on most Saturday nights then you probably want to avoid this place at these times."

"The portion sizes were very large. You are a little expensive $15-20 a plate, but you will definitely get your money worth. We ate here on holiday and had enough food for the next day. "I have been to Saltwater twice for dinner and had two great meals and very good service. Went this past Sunday for Sunday brunch we had a group of people. We were the only ones in the restaurant for most of the brunch time and our food was not very good all complained that the food was cold my omelet was so cold the cheese was no longer melted by the time I received it. The Lobster Roll from the main menu was such a disappointment. I recommend for dinner but I would not advise anyone to go for brunch"

"I was really looking forward to dining here, but I ended up feeling quite disappointed. I ordered the calamari as an appetizer, but it was so bland that I had to send it back, as it tasted like it had come straight from the frozen section. The margarita was also a letdown and didn’t taste good at all. My sushi was decent, probably the best thing I had, but the salmon was completely unseasoned. My date didn't enjoy his meal either; he said his chicken was overcooked. For dessert, we tried the rum cake, which looked appetizing but tasted terrible—there was no hint of rum flavor, and the overall taste was bland. I probably won’t be returning here, and I hope your experience is better than mine."

"The first surprise was the extensive menu. While it featured the usual Chinese American fare, we also found Thai, Vietnamese dishes, and a full sushi bar. How can one place offer such a wide variety while keeping the ingredients fresh? We played it safe and ordered Chicken Pad Thai, Egg Drop Soup, and Udon. To our astonishment, the food was prepared quickly, tasted great, and the ingredients were incredibly fresh. Rice noodles can be difficult to get right, as they tend to dry out, but these were soft and elastic—quite impressive given the lack of customers. After some contemplation, we theorized that this restaurant might be functioning as a ghost kitchen for several food delivery apps. Every few minutes, a car would pull into the otherwise empty parking lot, quickly come in to grab a bag, and leave right after. This likely explains the vast menu selection, the fast service, and how they manage to keep such high-quality, fresh ingredients despite having few dine-in patrons. In summary, the food was surprisingly good, with fresh ingredients, despite the unassuming appearance. It appears to be a ghost kitchen for Asian restaurants available on delivery apps like UberEats in the Norwalk and Wilton area. If you have the chance, consider visiting in person!"

"Absolutely wonderful time we went for our anniversary and they had the table set up so beautifully they even printed out a photo of us to keep as a souvenir, along with a champagne toast and free dessert!
