"a classic of the great Gatsby era with so much history, but so amazingly updated. the best elevator system has ever impressed me because we never had to wait for a minute! social table for breakfast brunch was very good with a free mimosa. the new aaa 4 diamant maritana restaurant was a welcome culinary adventure perfect for a celebration with impeccable service from our waiter don. the beacon pool beach bar service was for the laying in the sun. Just to be clear, our “jumbo”wings were moderate for $4.50 per wing, but hey we knew that we paid for the sugar sand view on the golf private beach. Now nothing could spoil the days on this golden sand, but the umbrella service types were hit or mis, but we appreciate that they have a physical job in the hot sun and I would have been just as lazy as some of them in this age who left handkerchiefs on the chairs all day, glued with head down to their phones and headphones make them oblivious. but also some big bicep standouts were running dynamo, dig holes for guests sunshades and make sure everyone had a place on the beach as promised, the others we came with a hypothesis that this is the entrance sprosse on the hotel service manager and some prove their work ethic and movement, some we observed probably won. the rooms were clean, well equipped and daily from a very congenital staff, our high-time garden view room had a beautiful view of the golf pool from the window. spa oceana service was excellent for massage facial treatment, but a few massages would have a 4-6 weeks reservation ahead and this was a much quieter trip, the roof top room was nice and I hope they offer a day back room service to this location, from now on they can go to the poolbar and bring back champagne food to the dach and it seems that everyone was a bit peckish after their spain services. The best secret we discovered last day is the Don Club, whose well-ordered sports center has a locker room, whirlpool, steam bath, sauna. this was the perfect place at check-out day after leaving our room and checking our baggage with the bell cap so that we can enjoy the pool beach then further after we refresh at the end of the day before our return home. st. petersburg has bloomed and we enjoyed the dali museum doc fords on the pier but left so much to do when we return. thanks to all those who did the don cesar, seem like a new second home, and we appreciate all those who had the vision to save and restore this great old being to its glory."

"Update after dinner: To me it?s unfortunately a significant drop in stars (from 5 to 3 . The old fashioned was amazing, the pineapple drink boring. The lamb appetizer was seasoned to perfection but it had way too much fat (more fat than meet, in fact .The watermelon appetizer was way underwhelming; quite uninteresting and under seasoned. My shrimp and grits were seasoned reallywell and I liked the quality of the shrimp but grits arrived lukewarm and that?s one of my least favorite things when eatingout. My husband?s steak was over cooked and tasted as if it was seasoned with a ready made supermarket marinade and nothingelse, not enough salt either; yet again, Knoxville proves that it can?t make steak properly. I also didn?t like how small thesteak was compared to the amount of fries (which were very good! . I didn?t really like my dessert: too sweet, watery, andcovered with whip cream (my least favorite things in a desert , the sage shortcake was more like a corn bread but quite good.Unfortunately, half of it was covered in whip cream which I deeply dislike. Espresso was OK, but should have been servedtogether with the dessert. This is a casual place, nothing fancy and for what they?re $175 with tip is far too expensive. Forthis price I?m Austin for two people, you can get amazing food at Odd Duck ; They didn?t count my dessert because I did say Ididn?t like it, but it means we would have paid $200 for a dinner that wasn?t really worth it. Unlikely that we?ll be going backfor quite some time. Very good brunch! Salmon cooked to perfection, but the espresso (as much as I appreciate that they haveit could be a little cleaner; I like it European style: with a little saucer and a small glass of water in the side. Lookingforward to returning for dinner soon."
