Sunsets' Tequila At Loews Don Cesar

The meal was excellent. I highly recommend the bison steak and red fish. However, the prawns were disappointing. The service staff were exceptional.

Best days are behind it. Mediocre food meets desperate but well meaning service. Filet was underdone then overdone. Wine list was the standout. Stay away.

The service, food and overall restaurant has gone downhill since the renovation. They are changing for bread service, not able to use the computer to check out your bill within the restaurant which causes the service to be slow.

Kitchen was overwhelmed. My wife and I waited over an hour from the time we ordered until when we received our appetizer. The waiter did all he could to make up for delay and manager finally (after numerous requests) stopped by our table and we ended up having our meal comped. Food was very good. Would try again on a less busy night

We stayed at the hotel, Don Cesar. I inquired about an earlier reservation. They were busy but they found a time a little earlier. When another one opened even earlier, they called us and let us know. Very nice. Food was delicious and waiter, Jeff, recommended a great wine when the one I requested was discovered to be out. HORRIBLE! What have you done?! Maritana used to be the BEST restaurant in town, without question. Now, I’m simply not going back. The renovation is horrible, it cheapened the restaurant and experience, and certainly does not elegant nor refined. The food? Horrendous. Underwhelming menu, and the quality was atrocious. I’m just don’t understand why? Why did you ruin what used to be an incredible experience for all the senses? Whoever decided to make these changes is simply, and sadly, a fool. You never fix what is not broken. I am truly sad at the passing of the Maritana. I just hope it resuscitates someday.

First off, the decor left much to be desired. It didn't feel like fine dining—while it was clean and modern, it lacked the romantic and classy ambiance one anticipates. Instead, it resembled an upscale diner or a casual spot where one might grab a complimentary breakfast at a hotel. Unfortunately, the food mirrored this lack of sophistication. We ordered the bread (which felt surprising to have to pay for at this level), roasted oysters, garlic shrimp, and grilled octopus. The bread was delightful—warm and chewy, served with an excellent pear jam. However, the appetizers were overpriced and mostly bland. The octopus had a decent portion size and was perfectly tender, but it was served cold...

a classic of the great Gatsby era with so much history, but so amazingly updated. the best elevator system has ever impressed me because we never had to wait for a minute! social table for breakfast brunch was very good with a free mimosa. the new aaa 4 diamant maritana restaurant was a welcome culinary adventure perfect for a celebration with impeccable service from our waiter don. the beacon pool beach bar service was for the laying in the sun. Just to be clear, our “jumbo”wings were moderate for $4.50 per wing, but hey we knew that we paid for the sugar sand view on the golf private beach.
