"bottom line forward disappointing experience in a very overrated restaurant. I do not understand the Rave reviews unless written by people without knowing about good food. we are guests in the don cesar on our slurry week and decided to eat fine on the four stars, diamantly rated maritana grille. first the decor. not fine eating. not terrible, clean and modern, but in no wise romantic or stylish. feels like an upscale diner or the place where they go to the free breakfast buffet in a beautiful hotel. unfortunately, the food fits the decor. we ordered the brot (for brot at this level of the restaurant?, the roasted oysters, the garlic garnels and the grilled otopus. the brot was really good, warm and chewy, came with some nice gadgets including a delicious pear jam. the other appetizers were too expensive and terribly blanden best. the otopus was not really a bad part and it was perfectly delicate, but cold and almost tasteless. I ate the half of it, instead of waiting for a new order, if they had reheated it in the microwave that would have been worse. the plate had a strange sauce looking like a blob of battleship gray color 't add nothing and visually inconspicuous! the garnels were just ok. not bad, but maybe six or seven dollars on a ham and eager seafood place. the oysters were terrible. bland, strangely boiled, a strange and unsatisfactory dish. they almost sent back, but, well, slumber weeks. for the main meal we ordered the duck breast and a bison ripple eye and to be fair, they were decent, good arome and beautifully cooked, but at premium steakhouse prices. the star of the evening was the order of the French frit, hot, crisp, but tender, perfectly salted, really frit among the two or three pommes I had everywhere. we have jumped over dessert. the service was friendly, but a little inefficient should 't take that long water refills among other small ask so that I can really give high marks for it. Summary about price for what they get"

"We decided to use Watermelon Creek Vineyard for our wedding venue. When we initially met with the owners they were very friendly and accommodating. A week prior to the wedding we visited the vineyard again to pay the remaining balance and discuss how we wanted the room set up for the wedding. We were told that we could remove and rearrange the room to meet our needs as long as we returned it back like we found it. The room was dirty from a previous party, but we were told it would be cleaned. We set the table and chairs up like we wanted them and also the area for the ceremony. The previous party had also torn down the blinds on one of the windows, but that they would have it replaced before our wedding. We also rented the “Bridal Suite” so that the bride and wedding party would have plenty of room to dress and it had 2 bathrooms that could be utilized for the bridal party. This in fact was also incorrect. Once the bridal party started dressing they were told that the bathrooms were for their other guests to use as well. One of the main reasons that the Bridal Suite was rented at $350 per day was for the privacy that was promised and use of the bathroom exclusively as advertised. When we arrived to set up the day prior to the wedding the blind was not replaced (we had to purchase curtain and curtain rods out of our own pockets to fix it), there were food crumbs on the tables and floor, as well as a sticky substance all over the floor. A trip had to be made to the closest town to buy cleaning supplies and a broom to clean up the dead bugs, dirt and food on the floor. The windows also had to be cleaned. When something was said to Ms. Debra said she would have someone clean it. A woman came in and set a broom and dustpan at the door and left. It took 2 hours to clean the room, which should have been done prior to us getting there. That evening we had an arbor brought in to use for the ceremony. While unloading the arbor, Mr. Tillman approached a family member because we had parked for a moment beside the door to unload and asked if she had read his sign. This wasn’t a big deal until he insisted that she walk with him to see the sign then asked her if she could read. He was very condescending to her and the bride to be. My father also made a wrong turn and was ran down by Mr. Tillman and lectured about the “proper flow pattern” that he had designed. On the wedding day we had random people walk into our wedding because the signs were not clear on where the wine tasting was taking place. When I went into the Bridal Suite I noticed that the Bridal Suite was under surveillance with a camera watching what was taking place in the room. I was very upset to think that the women were going to be watched as they changed clothes. I do not understand the purpose of having a camera in a changing room and feel like it could be a huge violation of privacy and possibly illegal. I placed a bag over the camera for our personal privacy. During the event, Mr. Tillman walked past the event several times glaring into the windows. So with all that said, the place is very pretty and offers some great picture opportunities. The downside is that the place is dirty and not kept up. The owners are very nice until they get your money then they develop a negative attitude and are very condescending to women and elderly guests. They continuously harass you about buying their wine, slushy machine rentals and other items they may sell or rent you. After walking into the nasty room the night before the wedding I would have walked away from this venue if I had another option available. Thanks to my family and friends we got the place cleaned up and the wedding went as planned with no help from the owners or staff at Watermelon Creek Vineyard. So beware before using this as your venue for your special day. And if you do use it, bring your own cleaning supplies and cover the camera for your own sense of security."

"many hits and misses in the accommodation. when we arrive there, we find the elevators from the order because of some water pipe break. a freight service elevator for the whole place. coming into the lobby is even a chaos, construction is everywhere. When we finally got into the room, it was nice. bed, clean. we were told that we run the water for a few minutes, as it comes out of brown due to the tubes. we have taken the stairs down after we have taken off our bags and decided to spend some time in the taproom grill waiting for an evening meal. Guess he didn't have a job. I couldn't make it out. the bartender made a great drink and was great. had dinner in a walk, a nice restaurant, but nothing special. the casino was okay, but the minimum bets on Tuesday were ridiculous (from $50 to $100) the next morning we have a great breakfast in the baked store. the only thing I would consider as excellent was the personal, they are amazing, friendly and helpful. I felt so bad for all those workers who deal with these problems outside their control. best part, despite that no elevator, brown water and the tap-free taproom, these youngs calculated the full price without discount. they did not even dispense with the tourist tax. do not accept that the full room price or the tourist tax includes a functioning elevator. these young are something, they really need to put their act together on an important way for what they calculate."

"we had a man who was clearly intoxicated come to our table three times. the first time we were polite and waited until he left. When he came back with a friend, we were polite again until he left. we both gave a brief answer and did not really interact. the third time he came alone and sat on one empty chair at our table. we all tried to ignore him when our server came by and realized that we were uncomfortable. he asked the man if he needed something and when he left, I could say he would bring a manager to cope with the situation. before the management came back, he grabbed my friend among the table, so I screamed to end to go and make a scene, because why should I be interested when I am rude to a stranger who has no respect for someone else. but the manager, our server and another worker came by when that happened. they made sure we were in order and also made sure that someone went to our car when we were ready to eat. the man and his friends stayed at the bar and drove past us during the night, but the manager himself and our server accompanied us from our table to the door and then to our car. I've been working in the food since I was 16 and I guess how they realized there was a situation without us balizing it and introducing the necessary steps. I can't remember the names of our waiter, but he has read a wonderful work and addressed the situation, and eating and drinking were great!"
