"The wait was quite manageable—there were four cars in front of me, and it took about 10 to 15 minutes from ordering to driving away. The customer service was exceptional. I was greeted right away, and the staff member asked if I could hold on for a moment. I don’t mind waiting as long as I'm acknowledged; otherwise, I feel ignored and left wondering if anyone knows I'm there.
The person on the speaker was friendly, polite, and upbeat, which really brightened my mood. When I reached the window, my food was ready quickly. I realized I had forgotten to request ketchup for my fries. When I tapped on the window to ask, the staff member told me he had already put it in my bag—and he had! At my usual location, there’s only a 60% chance of getting BBQ sauce for my nuggets or ketchup for my fries, even when I ask for it during my order. So, having it included without even having to ask was such a refreshing change.
When I got home, everything was correct, with all my requests honored (no tomato) thanks to the cooks. I think I've only experienced that level of precision twice at the other location. Plus, all the food was still hot; at the other place, I often get it lukewarm at best.
Comparing the two Whataburger locations, I can confidently say that this has been one of the best fast food experiences I've had in a long time. I work in retail and have dealt with my share of difficult customers, so I try to be understanding of staff who are short-handed or having a bad day. It’s amazing how much I’ve tolerated as a customer because I didn’t want to come across as a "Karen"—but I truly noticed the difference when I was treated so well here.
Thank you to everyone who was working when I visited!"
