"Honestly, this was the worst sushi I've ever had in my life. I ordered the dragon roll, and it had a really unpleasant smell. After tasting one piece, I was immediately put off by the poor quality of the eel, which was far from fresh and seemed like it had been sitting out all day. The other roll I tried was slightly more tolerable, but it still had an off taste, which I suspect came from the imitation crab inside. Overall, the food was disappointing and lacked fresh, high-quality ingredients. I really dislike writing negative reviews, but their sushi was just that bad. Save yourself the trouble—don’t go there."

"The food was good, mostly. A couple of dishes were bland but the others were very good. But the service was TERRIBLE! We told the waiter we had a time constraint and he said he understood but we waited and waited for the last dish. He actually offered to give it to us to go, but that would do us no good because we were going to a music performance and couldn't take it with us. We wound up paying the bill and then sitting and waiting for the last dish, which a few of the group wolfed down. We BARELY got to the performance on time, and we should have had plenty of time. Don't go here if you're in any kind of hurry. They just don't understand speed of service."

"front not visible from the road. the entrance is narrow and very easy to miss. but the curve is located directly next to the 7/11 and 76 refueling station. Once they enter, there is a small parking space. dining room is small so I suggest a reservation. order them through a paper menu instead of over their server and the cook brings your teller to you. there was only one server for the whole dining room and they managed it pretty well. the food came fast and was very tasty. many sorts of spits and pupus to choose and the spits cost 2-6 dollars depending on type."

"Despite the crowd, our wait wasn't long, thanks to their impressive efficiency in getting people seated and satisfied. Before we knew it, we had ordered no less than four servings of takoyaki, along with some side dishes, all laid out in front of us. The food was absolutely fantastic! The staff was not only friendly, but also quick and attentive, and the ambiance was lovely. If you find yourself in the area, do yourself a favor and visit Orenchi Ramen."

"My son really loves ramen so we go to every ramen place in the area! Dohatsuten is the closest location to our house and we’ve eaten there many times over the years. I remember it tasting better before…This review is for our trip today. My son order miso soup and takoyaki as appetizers.1) The miso was so terrible. So watered down and bland for $4. He was used to getting it with his bento boxes at other eateries and they were always decent so he thought yum. No it’s like 1.5 stars. Do NOT order Miso2) the takoyaki was delicious 4.5 stars yum yum yum3) we both order dohatsuten ramen, mine with salt broth his was tonkotsuI gave it a 3 star. The broth was very bland also watered down(to compare with a place like orenchi. So thick so dense so flavorful albeit a bit too salty) the braised pork belly was the only part packed with flavor so rich and soaked into the meat. The charsu was ok but the ground pork was soso not great. Overall 3 stars. I was hoping that the tonkotsu was more flavorful but alas also bland though richer and thicker in texture) 3 stars"

"Edit: came here again a few years later to try the tabata ramen dining in. Price was average for ramen, likely higher than before given the times. Broth was creamy, decently tasty, chicken was tender, though there wasn't that much. Overall tasted good, but not many other ingredients.Tried the signature Tabata ramen and agedashi tofu for delivery. Added bean sprouts, nori, and corn to the ramen. Average taste, large portions, average price.Noodle texture was ok, broth was ok, ingredients were ok. Nothing stood out, was an average tasting bowl of ramen for an average price."

"This is a pretty good Japanese izakaya! The decor is traditionally Japanese, with photos of Japanese celebrities who have visited adorning the walls leading up to the seating area. Vintage Japanese cinema posters cover the walls as well. After a long day, I sat right at the bar, where the crowd was mainly made up of Japanese and Japanese Americans, which led to some interesting conversations. The izakaya offers genuinely authentic cuisine, along with a selection of Japanese and Hawaiian beers on tap. I ordered the tuna bowl and a Kirin beer, and found the prices to be reasonable, complemented by fast and friendly service. The atmosphere can be a bit loud due to the bar setting and the number of patrons. For larger groups, there are spacious seating areas and tables available!"
