"I used to enjoy going to this restaurant, but an experience I had today has soured me on the establishment. I had in hand a coupon from a local publication indicating I could receive 1/2 off on a lunch combo. My wife and I ordered from the lunch combomenu, but when I went to pay, I noticed that the price was higher than that listed on the menu. The reason? It was a Sunday andthe very fine print on the menu indicates that lunch combos are only available Monday through Saturday. Worse, the fellow at theregister would not accept my coupon, even at the higher price, despite the fact that there was no indication that it was notvalid on Sunday. I blame the server to some extent for not pointing out that the lunch combos were not available on Sunday.All-in-all, a very disappointing experience and an example of poor customer relations."

"I do have one suggestion: it would be great if Mexican restaurants served their chips and salsa warm, as it really elevates the dining experience. We will definitely return to sample more dishes from the menu! I wanted to add a bit more to my review. On September 18, 2021, we came back to celebrate my husband's 66th birthday and brought his sister along, since we had been raving about this place to her. She lives just a short walk away but hadn’t visited until now. The young man working there was incredibly kind—he opened the door for us and helped us find a table that accommodated all of us, as my sister-in-law uses a wheelchair, my husband had a rollator, and I use a cane. The service was quick, and as always, the food was hot and absolutely amazing! My sister-in-law immediately fell in love with Arturo's, and they did not disappoint. She mentioned she would definitely come back and joked that if she could, she'd be there every day, wishing they would deliver to her since she would be ordering daily! Overall, we left as happy new customers. My husband was thrilled to celebrate his birthday in such a fantastic place with delicious food. Thank you!"

"I rate this restaurant two stars because the Margaritas are tasty and fairly priced, and the atmosphere is pleasant. However, I couldn't give it a higher rating because I ordered the carnitas and specifically asked for them to be extra crispy, which means I wanted them to be seared on the skillet for a nice crispy exterior. Unfortunately, when my food arrived, it was not crispy at all and didn't look very appetizing. I regularly order this dish at other places and it's always excellent. I didn’t dwell on it too much, though."

"I visited the restaurant with a friend and ordered enchiladas with ground beef. Upon tasting the beef, I realized it was spoiled, and my friend agreed after trying it as well. We informed our waitress, who took the plate back to the kitchen. After about 10 minutes, she returned without much explanation about the bad meat. She mentioned that other customers had ordered it without issue and didn’t seem particularly concerned. We requested our check, which still included the enchiladas, and went to pay at the front. When we told the woman at the register about the spoiled meat, she also seemed unbothered. Her only response was that it was a closed ticket and she couldn’t make any changes. So we ended up paying for the rotten enchiladas! We were informed that the manager was not available either. Just five minutes into our drive home, I started feeling very nauseous and had to be sick as soon as I got home. Suffice it to say, we won’t be returning!"

I needed my larger suitcases from my son who lives Montgomery, AL, and I, Birmingham, so to encourage him to meet me halfway, (which is in Clanton, 45-50 miles each) I suggested having dinner-n-a drink at a local lMexican restaurant! After googling Mexican restaurants in Clanton, 3 came up, I called all 3, and was sold on Three Amigos !!!!! I make determinations usually on spiritual 1st impressions!!!!!! That 's all I can rely on for things. Places, people sight unseen !!! AND for me, 9 tines out of 10 IT WORKS!!!!! John answered my call last Wednesd, his knowledge, patience, tone, excellent customer service, honesty, professionalism and compassionate spirit, I WAS SOLD INSTANTLY!!!!!! I gave my son our meeting location, both ETAs were 7-7:15 pm I arrived 1st, went in quickly to meet John, check out the place was very pleased!! My son showed up shortly we had an amazing dinner, he had 3 tacos, I had veggie quasidillas, rice beans and of course a margarita!!! John and Roy are amazing !!! Three Amigos.!!!!!!!!.......... great food, prices, mags, atmosphere, location, cleanliness, customer service!!! Both of us say every time we travel Montgomery/Birmingham, Three Amigos is definitely our stop for lunch or dinner!!!!......AND MAGS!!!! "The food was disappointing and lacked flavor. I ordered the fajita taco salad, and the chicken was completely unremarkable; it tasted like it had been reheated. The dish was overly soupy, with an excess of liquid at the bottom. The shell was oddly overcooked yet soggy. It looked nothing like the picture on the Google review—don't be misled. I specifically requested plain water with my meal, but the server brought me sparkling water and tried to charge me extra for it, even though I didn't order it. Be sure to check your bill carefully to avoid any surprises. At El Loro, you won’t go hungry, but there are definitely better Mexican dining options out there. Save your money and look elsewhere. I won't be coming back. As for parking, there were plenty of empty spots, which should have been a red flag."

"It's a decent Mexicamerican place. The Painkiller was a good non-Margherita drink option. The guacamole still is great, as are most of the foods you'd expect to find...it's just not quite as good as it was years ago. Vegetarian options: They are pretty good about tweaking the menu options to cater to tastes. Dietary restrictions: Again, they are usually pretty accommodating to tweaking dishes...it really depends on your restrictions. Parking: Largish parking lot with overflow spaces at the old Rec Center. Kid-friendliness: It is a family restaurant."

"I've always enjoyed the food and service. I visited again with a friend and was extremely disappointed with the service. I ordered my usual frozen margarita and was surprised when I observed the bartender doing everything but preparing it. The only other patrons were at one table, party of six. I asked the waitress several times about my margarita; she started the guy was making it. Thirty minutes later I observed him turning the margarita machine off and on several times. No one told me there was a problem with it ... Finally after 35 minutes I was served a margarita over ice... No explanation...."

"I'm not going to lie, the first time I went I told myself I would never return. There were so many fruit flies there I thought i was really south of the border! My last few trips though I went in the winter and they seemed to have it under control. I have had many things. Here are the things you can skip; wings and queso dip, unless you have a mediocre passion for those items they are meh. The fiesta burrito though. DAT FIESTA BURRITO, the clouds part when it arrives with the side of re-fried beans and rice. The burrito if filled with fatty pulled pork, topped with cheese sauce is dream worthy. I tasted it for the first time because my friend ordered it. It was like the beautiful girl from across the room at prom that finally asked you to dance. I only got a taste, but I came back craving for more and ordered one for myself. But enough about that. If your 21+ and have a DD grab one of their grande cervezas, come in a cold mug and maybe even order a few rounds of 1800. The staff is very friendly and the server is very prompt. I would compare this place to other restaurants like El Loro or El Toro, but its better. The quality of food is better and the items are actually distinctively different. Unlike El Toro/Loro with red or green sauce poured over everything then placed with cheese under a salamander. Final Word: I will be back. I will check it out when the weather warms up to see about their fruit fly issues and report back. If they are as bad as last time, most likely will not be back for food. If you get ONE thing get the BURRITO!"

"We arrived around 7:45 and the dinner rush was over there were a few parties still inside. She took our drink order and had drinks and chips and salsa on the table and we had barely sat down. VERY good service, timely refills and the food was out quick. I LOVE their salsa it is so good it is not spicy but has just a hint of kick to to. The cheese dip is amazing the chips were hot and fresh. I got the burrito California and it was incredible. Filled up with delicious chicken and onions and rice topped with cheese dip with sour cream, guac and pico on the side. My husband got the steak ranchero and it he loved it. He frequents this place, this is only my second time but I WILL be back for another burrito. The atmosphere is very peaceful, the staff is so nice, food was great and it didn't break the bank. "Awesome atmosphere with phenomenal service. Madison was incredibly attentive and made great recommendations regarding appetizers and entrees. She recommended the Molcajete and it was unbelievably delicious. The steak, chicken and shrimp were all super tender packed with flavor. The chorizo was also full of flavor and broke apart as I spooned it out. The sauce all the meat and veggies were cooking in never stopped bubbling from being so hot. Entire dish remained piping hot throughout. The Chorizo Apollo was also super tender with amazing grilled flavor. Highly recommend. Madison is fantastic as a server. The food is absolutely dynamite."

"They must have a new chef because I've eaten here for years and it's always serviceable Mexican food with great chips and pralines! But ate here Saturday and it was a splendid experience, had chicken tornados as did my dining guest (she had ground beef) and they were both excellent with plenty of meat and sour cream. They have beefed up their salsas, now three and 2 were actually spicy hot. Definitely recommend coming here or trying again if you haven't been a while. Our waiter did go MIA but a couple of other people filled in and I got my check. Still have great pralines too!"

"Once we received our meals, the same server returned to provide refills, while our original waitress appeared to be wandering around aimlessly as the evening slowed down. Sadly, the food did not meet our expectations. I ordered the Combination #1, which included one beef taco and two beef enchiladas served with beans and rice. The enchiladas were served with hard, stale tortillas that made them difficult to eat, although the beans and rice were decent. The beef was overly greasy and had the taste of meat that had been sitting out for too long. The taco, however, was good. The rest of my family felt similarly underwhelmed by their meals, and while we tried to make the best of our evening, we left feeling unsatisfied and somewhat frustrated. Some in our party had dined here before and had better experiences, but this was my first visit, and it certainly did not impress me. I would recommend looking for dining options elsewhere in the future."
