"The food was disappointing and lacked flavor. I ordered the fajita taco salad, and the chicken was completely unremarkable; it tasted like it had been reheated. The dish was overly soupy, with an excess of liquid at the bottom. The shell was oddly overcooked yet soggy. It looked nothing like the picture on the Google review—don't be misled. I specifically requested plain water with my meal, but the server brought me sparkling water and tried to charge me extra for it, even though I didn't order it. Be sure to check your bill carefully to avoid any surprises. At El Loro, you won’t go hungry, but there are definitely better Mexican dining options out there. Save your money and look elsewhere. I won't be coming back. As for parking, there were plenty of empty spots, which should have been a red flag."

I went to this restaurant with the anticipation of trying their enchiladas and was really looking forward to it. But the moment I stepped through the door the staff was very rude. No one addressed me I had to ask to be served and was told they were too busy! Therefore, I left and highly unlikely to ever return.

My husband and I have eaten here five times in the past 30 days, and each visit has been better than the last! From the warm greeting and complimentary chips and dip at the start to the moment the waitress brought the check at the end, everything was fantastic. The food, atmosphere, and cleanliness were all impressive, and the portion sizes were just right.

Good food, good price, great lunch place. Many of their plates are very large. Great tamales! Many places have started to make tamales with almost nothing inside but these are great! Google Maps struggles a bit for getting you to the parking lot as of May 2024 you have to turn right after Google Maps says you arrived to get in the parking lot building itself. View menu

Overall, I would rate El Loro around 3.5 to 4 stars. The portion sizes are decent for the price, but the taste is just okay—nothing particularly memorable. The drinks are good, and I appreciated the chips and salsa that were served as I sat down. I do think the service could be improved, and I would prefer fresher tortillas and meat that isn’t so dry. However, I understand that COVID has affected many aspects of dining, so I'm willing to give them some grace.

We've been going to El loro for years but I really have to commend this location on the recent service and food that we had. Arora is one of the best places in the Twin Cities to go have a phenomenal Mexican dinner and you will not be disappointed visiting this location. We are incredibly impressed with the quality of food, the prompt and kind service and also the atmosphere. It's one where we all had a great time, we had amazing food, and we will definitely be going back. We strongly recommend getting the queso as an appetizer. One of my favorite dishes here is the Burritos Mexicanos. You really can't go wrong with burritos smothered in melted cheese.
