"I recently ate dinner on a slow Monday evening with about a dozen customers in the bar area. A nice barkeep greeted me a minute or so after I sat and attended to me cordially throughout the evening. Based on my good experience from earlier in the year, Ibasically repeated my order from then with a change or two: Blood orange spritz to start with a house salad, a crab cake entreewith mash and asparagus, ten ounce sirloin medium rare with baked potato and Brussel sprouts, and chocolate mousse cake tofinish. My drink came promptly and tasted good overall even if I would like a little more blood orange flavor. The house saladlooked and tasted fresh with crispy croutons. A little less dressing at the bottom would give this salad a better mix ofdressing to vegetables. Fresh cracked pepper instead of the small shakers would be better as well. Crab cakes had a pleasingbroiled texture, satisfying crab to binder ratio, a thermally warm temperature, and a light taste. I wonder if a little morelump crab instead of mostly backfin might elevate these cakes a touch more. Asparagus had good grill flavor and texture. Mashedpotatoes tasted like they had a little too much salt and/or dairy in them but were still quite palatable. Steak temperature wasmedium rare by touch and between medium rare to medium by sight and had good grill flavor. I was glad to see this baked potatocome with a decent salt crust on the skin and appropriate accoutrements, most of which I used. Overall the texture was pleasingeven if the potato could have been hotter on arrival. The Brussel sprouts were portioned and cooked well. I could have done witha little less salt to bring more flavor since this side included prosciutto and mustard. The chocolate mousse cake had a smoothmousse with plenty of chocolate flavor and a more moist cake than last time. The raspberry ice cream served as a welcomecomplement. "Let's talk about Nelly's, a hidden gem in Long Branch that is bursting with flavor. The menu offers a variety of delicious greasy dishes. We ordered a stuffed Chicago pizza, mozzarella fries, and a white slice. The fries and white slice were fantastic, while the Chicago pie, though not what we expected, was still delicious. It had a unique Chicago-style twist that reminded me of a reverse margherita pizza. The sauce was sweet and the cheese tasted fresh. Overall, Nelly's was a fantastic dining experience, although I do wish they offered Chicago deep dish pizza on their menu."

"This restaurant has a welcoming and pleasant atmosphere. The food is extremely fresh and seasoned wonderfully. It is my favorite Mexican restaurant in the USA. Even after traveling around the United States, I always come back here. It truly is the best. I ate here on 5-6-22 and tried the Enchiladas Rancheras, which were very tasty. The staff has changed, with a new group of waitresses replacing the friendly male servers. The ladies are quieter but still very friendly. Despite the change in staff, the food remains delicious and the ambiance is still welcoming."

"I know that they've been permanently closed this weekend, but considering that they have other locations, I thought there was more effort to give their local Ocranside gardeners a great last culinary experience. Service was bad, lasted almost 20 minutes to place a beverage order and our food was not even prepared for our order (good made burger, if we were rarely asked for medium). I doubt we'll visit all the other Urge sites."

"I understand that they were closing permanently this weekend, but given that they have other locations, I expected more effort to provide a great final dining experience for their local Oceanside customers. The service was disappointing; it took nearly 20 minutes to place our drink order, and our food was not prepared as requested (we ordered a medium rare burger but received it well done). After this experience, I doubt we will visit any other Urge locations."

"We had a great experience at La Costa! I had the enchiladas with green sauce, and my husband had the skirt steak. The sauce on the enchiladas had a great kick of heat. Not too much where it is overpowering, but enough to open up the sinuses. The skirt steak was delicious also, and there were plenty of leftovers. Our server was great, the weather outside on the patio was perfect, and we had a great time. We'll definitely be back!"

"I have been here many times for breakfast and lunch this was my first time for dinner. The food was mediocre and the servers seemed to be unhappy and it showed. I overheard one server telling a food runner that the guests who were asking g for water aren’t her problem as that isn’t her table. I asked my food runner a question and was told that’s not my department. If it wasn’t for the location I wouldn’t ever go back. Maybe it’s only good for breakfast or lunch. Just made me sad."

"It is absolutely the BEST mexican restaurant I 've eaten in around the Asheville area. The tacos are huge, I had carne asada meat, my grandaughter had the carnita tacos, our friend had carne asada plate. Super good quality of meat, carne asada is the best I 've ever had. The help yourself salsa bar has about 10 different salsa 's. Their bean dip is wonderful, and guacamole is so good. The menu is huge. BTW, taco 's are served with beans and rice OR a salad, the plates all come out so warm, they heat each plate before putting food on it. It 's super, super clean. Prompt service and fast. They have a huge menu, salmon for one, lots of plates . Take a look at the menu online. . It REALLY IS EXCELLENT! Not expensive either!!"

"Despite the delicious food (I had the Life Balance salmon [I'm picky about salmon quality it met my high standards] my BFF had chopped salad tortilla soup) and the very attentive service, the noise level made Coopers Hawk a difficult place for a long-delayed get-together. We could barely hear each other, even though we were sitting at adjacent corners of the table. But we appreciated not being pressured to hurry up leave the table. We were also glad we'd brought extra layers, as the temperature was much chillier than the April outdoors, maybe 67°. So we won't be returning when we next get together, until it's warm enough outside to sit on the patio, where it's quieter."

"I visited this restaurant with a friend for dinner on a Thursday night, and we had to wait 45 minutes for a table for two. I appreciate their waitlist system, which allows you to see where you stand, but the restaurant was so crowded that there was hardly any space to sit and enjoy your drink while waiting. The skinny margaritas were quite tasty, and the chips and salsa were incredibly fresh. I ordered a combo to try the smothered green chili sauce, which was good, though it was a bit light and some of the flavor got lost. The ground beef taco and the enchilada were both enjoyable as well. Service was relatively quick! However, at one point during our meal, water started pouring down from the ceiling two tables away. Thankfully, we didn’t have to relocate, but it was quite unexpected and a bit alarming to see where the water was coming from. Also, the place tends to get really smoky at times."

The portion servings especially the ?? ? chicken cheese tacos are plenty and my husband of near 300 lbs gets overfilled with all-u-can-serve chips and salsa w/ one not 2 , but 1 ? ? ? served w/the delicious house Refried Beans and Rice, costing under $20 per person in general. "Waited 25 minutes after being seated before anyone even noticed. Tried making eye contact to no avail. Had to talk with the hostess to get a waiter. Appetizer came out promptly. It was the house smokes salmon and it was exceptional delicious. Good mix of smoke and salt. Unfortunately one of the main course was incorrect when brought out so we waited again for the rest of the meal. My husband had the ribeye which was good. I eventually got the salmon oscar which was perfectly prepared. It did not have the Brussels sprouts that I see in other pictures. The live band was very entertaining. The sound level of the band was perfect. Maybe the poor service was just a fluke but at those prices I would have expected better."

"This restaurant is primarily worth visiting for its beach view. While the service was friendly, the food was just average. I ordered the breakfast bowl with ice cream, hash browns, and sourdough toast. Unfortunately, the meal was a bit cold when it arrived and didn't feel seasonal. "Surprisingly delicious, high quality food in a shaded environment. Burrito had a lot of delicious, clean, white meat chicken, and the food was served piping hot with a delicious creamy green salsa. The service was attentive, but could use something fine tuning; for example, the chips were greasy and without salt. My iced tea was constantly refilled, but no additional ice cream was offered so that the drink became warm.
