"That's how a designer/poet/editor/foodie friend described the Spanish Fiesta Gift Box I sent. Even before she dug into the delicious selection, she was delighted by the careful packaging and beautiful presentation. The quality of the products and the variety of flavors are an enormous treat, yielding fast and easy weeknight dinners, and intriguing snacks when family and friends drop in. The cuisine of Spain has come alive for her--and made life a little easier--thanks to this gift box. I've visited the SoHo shop several times in the past, and am thrilled that the gift lived up to the in-person experience."

"I'm not sure how long they've been open, but we somehow overlooked this gem in Yakima! The food was outstanding. We tried the cauliflower dish, pork belly, and Thai fried chicken, all of which were delightful. The desserts were fantastic too. The chef shows a lot of creativity, and the flavors really deliver. We can't wait to come back!"

"Anniversary early pm dinner reservations for two. The place is in disrepair from our last visit. The entry door collapsed and flopping at the bottom with the glass panes stained and dirty, creates a very poor first impression. There were no other guest at that time, and we were seated in a two seat table by the windows. My wife asked for a larger table, the brunette hostess, showed mild irritation, uum, okay . Later that hostess appeared to be the senior staff present. Our waitress was excellent, both attentive and pleasant. The menu has some changes, portions seemed larger, tapas were mostly good, inconsistent warmth, waiting maybe. There were at least instances of going down the menus with the waitress, needs to make another choice because items were not in stock. The waitress did not seem flustered with not being able to deliver; that can't be a good sign. The desert menu was also reduced with what seemed premade items Its a significant downgrade in appearance, service, quality of food, and overall experience."

"a hidden gem! the service was wonderful. we went to lunch and had paella negra (paella with black inkfish color) and it was delicious. we ordered other tapas and honestly all were good. the gambas al ajillo were too small of one part for the price, but all the other was a really nice part. the aromen were on point. definitiw will return."

"We have been to El Basque before and we really enjoy it. The food is always very interesting with a mix of Spanish and French flavors. The service is very good with very courteous and attentive staff who are more than willing to explain the nuances of the menu. The charcuterie is always a good start especially for a group of four or more. We like to pair that with various pintos, which are similar to tapas, but somewhat larger in size. Dessert is always the burnt cheesecake, which is outstanding. There’s a very nice wine list and I would suggest trying the Basque wines that pair nicely with the food"

"Food: 3/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Overall: Good service and ambiance for standard fare tapas The extended review Food: 3/5 The portion sizes and tastes were similar in relation to other tapas spots I have been to. Of the ones that I tried I would say that the gambas were the best dish for me. Service: 5/5 I had an awesome experience with the waitstaff. They were super friendly and attentive. Ambiance: 5/5 A very chic setting in my mind although seats were"

"It’s good but it can be sooo much better to get those Five stars. Ordered wings and the tostones con ropa vieja. The tostones and ropa vieja were on point, but the wings are not house made they are from a bag of Tyson fried wings. Come on, you can do better than that. For the entrees we ordered Paella(which was perfect! , arroz chaufa (amazing! , Sea bass breaded with panko and coconut flakes (not crusted like it says in the menu, crusted and breaded is not the same thing w/ shrimp on garlic sauce. Then again the sea bass was from a package from Dairyland,Cysco foods, or Baldor, it’s not made in-house. For what you pay they should make everything in-house.The staff it’s friendly and attentive, the drinks are good, the music was on point, bathroom was clean (the whole place was . So yeah, it’s a nice place to hang out and have drinks and a frozen bite. The frozen food just take away from what can be an amazing place. I will give it another chance and will try out more food items. I really hope they stay away from the frozen food, and make those place more original."

"We opted for entrees instead of tapas, and I'm glad we did. The main course was outstanding, featuring large prawns cooked to perfection in a light, creamy garlic sauce that was rich in flavor. The flan was also fantastic. However, the service didn't quite match the quality of the food. It was lacking in attentiveness, with minimal refills on coffee, tea, and water, incorrect orders, and dishes not arriving together. Additionally, while the staff was welcoming, they could have been a bit less intrusive, as I prefer a more hands-off approach from waitstaff. Had the tip not been automatically included for our group at 20% (which is our usual tip amount), I might have considered tipping a bit less, as I expect a higher level of professionalism at places where the dinner costs around $25 per plate, excluding drinks, salad, or dessert. Despite this, I enjoyed the food immensely and would likely return, even considering renting their outdoor patio for an event, as I prioritize the quality of the food (kudos to the chef) over the proficiency of the waitstaff. It was truly delicious!"

"Restaurant is small so quite loud. We got there later in the evening so we were told if we stayed past a certain time we would have to pay extra for the entertainment so we felt rushed to eat. The waitress was friendly, attentive and the food was quick to arrive. I wasn’t overly excited by the food, I’ve had better tapas but it was average."

"I dine at this restaurant at least three to four times a week because of its close proximity to my workplace. The service here is exceptional and hard to come by, as it's a family-owned establishment where the owners are always on-site, making guests feel right at home. The food is delightful, featuring a homemade touch, high quality, and a diverse selection. They offer a Menu of the Day alongside their regular menu, which is consistently available. The restaurant also boasts an impressive array of drink options, including delicious wines, Spanish-imported beers, and both white and red sangrias. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, providing a sense of comfort and tranquility. I highly recommend it. Additionally, on Friday and Saturday nights, patrons can enjoy live music, making for a lovely evening with the family."

"Like to support local business but the strawberry cake was told to have two layers of yellow cake and a middle center of strawberry mousse. When you cut the cake the yellow cake is less than half an inch and 3 inches of mousse This is one way you can cut down your cost and keep the price of the cake around the same price but that is not what I expected when you order strawberry cakeand it’s basically all mousse inside.Same as the chocolate flourless cake expected a dense cake not full of chocolate mousse.Seems that is one way to cut the cost of ingredients but I rather pay for the proper way of the cake ."
