"Unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was quite disappointing. Despite the attentive service from the waitress, who accommodated us after we raised some concerns, Public House 49 fell short in terms of food quality. My wife and I decided to push through the culinary mishaps rather than continue complaining. The atmosphere was trendy but pleasant, and we were seated in a quiet area away from the other diners. However, the drinks and dishes were not up to par. Some cocktails were undrinkable and even the nachos my wife ordered came with stale chips. We had to send them back and wait for a replacement dish. The food was average at best and failed to impress. I was particularly disappointed by the lack of compensation for the issues we encountered, especially given the high prices we paid. It seems that the decline in quality extends beyond this restaurant to others in the area, which is disheartening considering how vibrant the dining scene used to be. It appears that Patchogue has lost its charm and the overall food quality has decreased. I hope that Public House 49 and other establishments in the area can improve before it's too late."
