"We ordered wine and cocktails, which were served quickly and perfectly. The Squeaky Bean boasts a variety of unique cocktails crafted with local spirits and presented over impressive, crystal-clear three-inch ice cubes. The two cocktails I sampled—one made with tequila and the other with bourbon—were not only visually stunning but also delicious and complex in flavor. Afterward, we requested to see the cheese cart and were thrilled with a cheese plate that featured a rich gorgonzola, a Vermont cheddar, an aged Gouda (if memory serves— I was a bit distracted by the chefs at the time), and a creamy cheese made from water buffalo milk. The presentation was elevated with mixed nuts, green olives, and peach preserves, alongside house-made crackers that, though they appeared simple, were surprisingly buttery and flavorful. Our hungry group finished the cheese plate in under ten minutes. Next, we ordered two salads to share among the three of us. The first salad—a smoky, creamy grilled eggplant paired with thinly sliced plums and raw Asian greens—left a lasting impression. In contrast, the heirloom tomato salad did not have the same impact. While it aimed to showcase the vibrant acidity of the beautiful tomatoes, I found the flavors somewhat subdued. At any other restaurant, this dish would have been a highlight, but at The Squeaky Bean, it was my least favorite. Our first entrée was a wagyu beef teres major, a lean and slightly chewy cut from the shoulder. Although it wasn’t as tender as anticipated, it was rich in flavor, highlighted by a delightful bone marrow wine sauce served in a brown eggshell. The beef was complemented by an exquisite wild mushroom preparation that could easily have stood as a main dish itself, along with a rich potato “bar.” Cooked to a perfect rare, it was one of the finest cuts of beef I’ve enjoyed in quite some time. We also sampled the fried chicken, which is uniquely prepared by deboning and skinning the chicken, then rolling the breast meat in thigh meat, rewrapping it all in skin, and frying it. This innovative approach to classic fried chicken came with a robust gravy and a stuffed artichoke heart filled with zucchini puree. Topped with crispy, bacon-like chicken skin, each bite took me back to the best Thanksgiving dinner I’ve ever experienced. The Squeaky Bean is a truly one-of-a-kind establishment. The quality of the food, ingredients, and creativity behind each dish deserve national acclaim. Yet, it's the venue’s distinctive “personality” that truly elevates the overall experience. The decor is both whimsical and refined, creating a lively and cheerful atmosphere where patrons genuinely enjoy their time. Despite being newly opened for just a few weeks, the staff operate seamlessly, exuding palpable pride and dedication to curating memorable experiences for diners. “Foodies” will undoubtedly fall in love with The Squeaky Bean, as will anyone who appreciates imaginative dishes made from fresh, flavorful ingredients. Conversely, those merely in search of a simple meal might be better off elsewhere, as the restaurant's noteworthy charms may not resonate with them."

"I love eating there because is like warping into Mexico City cuisine. You know it 's authentic because THEY DON 'T SERVE TACOS!. Don 't be turned off by the name. I thought it was just a bar until I saw their options in the window. And I 've been looking fora place that has Mexico City food that 's close and affordable. What else tells me this is authentic? The people that go there. Iget greeted in Spanish which I LOVE. The patrons and the atmosphere. Authentic Mexico City desserts, non alcoholic drinks, juices, mexican ice cream and so much more. The inside of my Yardas, has tables with names of different metro stops in MexicoCity. It 's really nostalgic. The music is ok, they have a good mix of cumbias and popular music. Sometimes a god awfulreggaeton song pops up, but they 're far n between. I 've tried the chilaquiles w milanesa. Didn 't know you could do that, but itworks. Had red pozole and it was adequate. I 'm glad I didn 't have to ask for oregano, they brought it w the bowl. My kids hadsopes and sincronizadas, They have a kid menu, but Mexico City food is kid friendly if you know what to order. I was perplexedby their tlacoyos drowned in a green salsa, but still yummy. I had a friend go there a long time ago and said she did likeit...well, she was expecting something like Chuy 's or Pappasito 's...bruh, then go to tex mex restaurants that have watered downeverything."

"A fun spot in the middle of San Francisco. I came here after work on a Saturday night. I hadn 't eaten much over the day so was quite hungry. The restaurant doesn 't take any reservations so you either come at an unbusy time or roll the dice. Since we didn 't show up until 815 on a Saturday night (they close at 10) we got lucky and caught the dinner turnaround and were seated immediately. The restaurant is an open layout with the kitchen easily viewable from anywhere in the restaurant. There 's a bar that seats 7 or 8 and the restaurant subtly bleeds into a patio. Here 's what we ate. 1. Quesadilla Roja con Chicharrón Mulato chile corn tortilla, crispy pork belly, cascabel guajillo chiles, jack cheese, queso fresco, onion and cilantro. This was probably my favorite dish. A crispy shell with a juicy, well seasoned, 2. Mole Poblanoon Poved Braised half chicken, dry chiles, spices, plantains, ts, hoolate, sesame seeds, onions (contains peanuts) Mexican rice and tortillas. a whole half chicken with tasty Mole sauce. Not too sweet and not too smokey. A subtle flavor that comes with delicious rice and as many corn tortillas as you want. 3. Trucha a la Plancha Seared marinated trout, arbol chiles, braised butter beans, romanita and salsa verde picante. Possibly some of the best tasting trout I 've had to date. A nice crisp to the skin and the butter beans are soft and have absorbed all of the flavor of the sauce. It also comes with unlimited corn tortillas as well. 4. Frozen White Guava Margarita Pueblo Viejo Blanco, white guava puree, lime, Giffard Triple Sec. A fun drink with a good guave flavor. I recommend. With 3 dishes and 1 drink , the bill came out to about $100 for 2 people. Probably enough food to have 2 people quite full. I would recommend as a let 's go have a nice meal that won 't break the bank"
