"go through and decided to try based on their online menu. great choice! we started with 3 appetizers. kreol ravaged eggs, roasted green tomats and the Dino-Poutine. everything was good, but the poutine was especially excellent. I ordered the bbs sandwich, which is the best brisket, speck and Swiss cheese. I have harlem kartoffelsalat and cajun mais as my side. my daughter has the pick 3 chickens, ripen and swallow, and her friend ordered the Brisket sandwich. everything came hot and delicious. food, so we had to go in boxes. my daughter wanted to taste her cake; she chose the peanut buttercake. wow, it was amazing! so thick and real whipped cream! try it out, they will not be disappointed!"

"good lunch. the station at the famous dave’s bbq has pleased. I haven't been here for 15 years, so it was time for a stop. her lunch special looked at, but the offers weren't different from the regular menu.... although there was a break for lunch specialists. ordered the burnt ends sandwich (texas beef brisket meerrot and caramelized with sweet zesty bbq sauce) $10.49 my side order was her kartoffelsalat with red wobbles, celery, hard boiled eggs, mayo and a hauch senf. "Our visit started off rough! After making contact with the bartender we still had to track down an employee to be seated for our reservation. Felt as if we were being ignored and it was not busy at all. Our servers personality was nice and welcoming but she seemed distracted which was reflected in our experience. Our food and drinks seem like they took a bit longer than they should’ve taken in our experiences from previous visits. The burnt ends were all fat, they were great the last time I ordered them so this was a big disappointment. We ordered the large family feast for $79 which was pretty standard so no complaints. Overall a pretty basic experience with a little less than favorable food."

"We decided to order from Doordash for Father's Day, but we were disappointed with the portion sizes for the price we paid. Our total came to over $110 for the family meal and a side order of burnt ends. The burnt ends were especially disappointing as they looked more like a small side dish rather than a substantial order, yet we paid $21 for it. There was only about 8oz of burnt ends in the box. Overall, we were craving BBQ for Father's Day and unfortunately, the food did not meet our expectations in terms of taste and portion size for the price."

"I ordered the catfish fingers platter along with a lemonade and found it to be a great value for $17. The lemonade was refreshing, and the cornbread was absolutely delicious. The corn was moist, the coleslaw was fantastic, and the remoulade had a wonderful flavor too. The seasoning on the catfish was outstanding! The only downside was the saltiness—there was just too much for my taste. I couldn’t finish it because I worried it might affect my low blood pressure. If the seasoning could be adjusted to reduce the salt content, that would be ideal. Overall, I would definitely come back to try more dishes from the menu—everything else was so good! Yum!"

"Tender spot-on authentic down home southern barbecue. I know because I live in NC! Great place tucked inside an old abandoned warehouse which lends well to its rustic appeal. The spicy collards were out of this world mouthwateringly delicious and the real deal. I know because I’ve tasted authentic southern collards. Delicious cornbread with a tad of sweet but that’s a very good thing because in the south the cornbread is not sweet but that’s ok too! And lastly the fella that waited on us (forgot his name) was par excellence explaining the menu to us before we ordered. Fyi......he was the fella working at the bar on Wednesday 4/11 around 1130 ish. Very pleasant experience and awesome beer selection.....can’t forget that"

"I heard that they have a new general manager, so the food has greatly improved at this restaurant. Their burnt ends and Texas style brisket are both delicious. They offer three sauces, but all of them are a bit too sweet for my taste. Luckily, the brisket is so good that it doesn't really need sauce. The banana pudding dessert portion is huge and tasty. If you're taking the brisket to go, make sure to ask them to skip the piece of toast they put under the meat, as it can make the brisket dry before you get home. They also have a fantastic Rewards program and daily happy hour specials."

"I really wanted to leave a higher review for this restaurant as I thought the food (especially the wings and the brisket) was excellent and I really liked the atmosphere of this establishment. I unfortunately had a rude male waiter who stared me down as I was leaving a tip and had the audacity to make a comment about the tip amount as he was watching me close out my check. I would want to recommend people come to this restaurant but this interaction ruined my evening with my wife and I would want to spare other people the misfortune of being waited on by someone who does not have a sense of customer service. I'm sure other people have had a great experience here but I don't plan on coming back in the future. There are too many other great places in town to spend my time being harassed by wait staff."

"The place was cute had a lot of potential but the service was SLOW absent most of the time, we had to get some things for ourselves off the other tables ie: utensils, salt pepper etc. I wanted a cocktail but they couldn’t make it because they didn’t have the mixer, so I had to choose something else. Our food came, mine was wrong some parts of it were raw! My husbands burger was over cooked dry. Maybe their best items are their BBQ... so if you decide to go there try that nothing else!! I’ve worked in the food service industry for 10 years so I can say this place needs some fine tuning they should get it together. We were only there to see a band play- which they double booked both bands had to split the night. I wouldn’t go back... good luck if you go!"

"Our waiter took over minutes to come and take our order. When we arrived they put us at a booth quickly, but my husband was not comfortable in this booth. After waiting about minutes in this first booth our waiter came and we asked if we can be seated at another table. Quickly, he moves us to another table and told us our waiter will be with us shortly. minutes went by and everyone waiter and hostess walked pass us. Then finally one waiter came to us and asked if we have been help? We told him “no” and he quickly asked for our drink order, and brought us our drinks and took our order and said he will let our waiter know. And guess what??? Our waiter was the first waiter we saw and moved us to a different table!! Never did he apologize or anything. Very unprofessional!! Not going back!!!"

"Since we had a group of 6, I wanted to make a reservation. Used the Open Table reservation system. When we arrived, there was no way to check in and a long line to order at the counter. It was very busy and few tables left. Some of our group went to save a table (just in case) while I tried to get some information about our reservation. I flagged down a woman who was bussing tables and asked about our reservation. She didn't know anything about it. She said we should just get in line. If we hadn't saved a table for ourselves, there would have been no tables left. We had an excellent meal and the rest of the service was good. But what is the point of making a reservation if none of the staff knows anything about it? If we hadn't saved a table for ourselves, we would not have gotten a table."

"We ordered meals for our crew here at work it was $160 order and multiple sides and items. Travis said he double checked the order to make sure it was complete. What a delicious feast it was!! Everything was perfectly prepared and included as promised. Equally impressive was the person taking the order asked what time I wanted it ready and I indicated 11:45. Sure enough, it was there for me waiting when I promptly arrived at 11:45 and I could tell it had just been placed there because everything was hot and fresh. I will definitely be back great food, great price, great service. Hitting on all points these guys are! Thanks again I look forward to being back soon! Edit: pulling back two stars because of two recent experiences. Just ordered today and the order was supposed to be ready at noon. The restaurant didn 't have a host/hostess and nobody at the to go counter except two other people waiting. Supposed to be ready at noon and didn 't get out of there until 15 minutes later (I was there a few minutes early). No 'thank you for waiting, sorry about the wait, etc. ' the girl was polite but overwhelmed and walking away said 'Good Lord this has got to stop '. Either the restaurant is understaffed or poorly managed or both. I 'll try it again but so far 0/2. The last time was the reverse. I was there when I was told to be. Food had clearly been sitting there for a while because it was cold when I got back to my office which is 5 minutes away. I think I 'll stay away from mobile orders for a while."

"It was Father 's day so a bit of a delay expected, but we had reservations for lunch at 3:30, when we arrived they said lots of people had reservations and we are short staffed so they just put everyone on a walk in list after saying 15 mins. 45 minutes later we were seated, missing the lunch window. Then, when the food did come out it was small and was not good : the Sausage was excellent, Mac good, brisket okay, pulled pork nasty parts at bottom of heap that should have been thrown away, not served for consumption . I am sorry about the short staff, but treating customers this way with poor service and worse, poor food, isn 't the answer...next time say sorry, offer a free appetizer as a small token, honor lunch, make sure food you do serve is worthy of your name."

"I ordered to go 2 Big Slabs of St. Louis-Style Spareribs and each Slab comes with 2 sides.The sides were a joke. Each side came in a 4oz very small container. I thought I was playing Barbie House Food with these sides. I also ordered 2 bread puddings to go and the caramel syrup that usually comes in separate containers did not come in the to go bag. "I am sure that Famous Dave’s had to make cuts. It was an entirely different experience than the last time we are here. The buns on my daughters burger fell apart before she could eat it. It appears they are using a cheaper bun. I get it. The chicken was extremely dry. Could not eat the pieces from our appetizer. My wife’s burger was disappointing. The chicken was also very dry. Her bun also fell apart. They did not do that at prior visits. The food was brought out in a timely manner. Our server could have been more friendly. We did buy BBQ sauce and pickles. Those are always great. I did watch an employee sanitize each table after a seating. That was great. We will try other BBQ places in the area"
