"I was in town briefly for work and wanted to find a nice spot for lunch. Sugar Creek had great reviews, so I decided to give it a try, and I'm really glad I did. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a family-oriented atmosphere. The food not only looked and smelled amazing, but it tasted fantastic as well. I ordered the daily special, which was a half rack of ribs, along with a side of "oilfield trash" based on another reviewer's recommendation. Everything was delicious! The portions were generous, and the food was cooked perfectly—no grease and easy on the stomach. I would rate this local gem a perfect 10/10 and would definitely return if I find myself in Big Lake again. Food: 5, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 5."

"eating in Texas scratch kitchen was very good, and the prices were very reasonable. our server was excellent, and was prompt and available for requesting, but not in our conversation. Eating and the service are good reasons to eat here. the restaurant itself was very clean and beautiful ordered. but a thing that my friend and I noticed was that it was extremely quiet in the restaurant. not quiet in the sense that it is a quiet datum place or something, but quiet as in a library. the place was full of people, but they felt noticeably open the door and go in due to the quiet nature of the place. we went at 6:30 on a Saturday night, so it wasn't normal to be so quiet. they can definitely hear they talk what is a good thing, but they could want to turn on some background music. they had televisions with football, but they were all on mute as they could predict. I recommend you to try this restaurant, it is a great location and the food and service are excellent."

"This place hosts a hilarious line dancing night with thorough lessons. However, our waitress was new and had been pulled from a sister restaurant due to staff shortages. My burger was quite good, but the nachos were truly terrible, and the chili was the worst I’ve ever tasted—definitely a letdown. My son couldn't even eat his. The nachos were served with wilted lettuce and a bit of canned cheese sauce, making them inedible. Additionally, we had to leave our table to reach the entrance just to see the menu because the lighting was extremely dim. I'd come back for the dancing and drinks, but I would definitely eat before arriving."

"Love this place. The food has improved substatinially in the last year or two. The servers are always friendly. They do get overwhelmed at times because the restaurant is enormous, and they're sometimes bombarded with large groups because the environment is great. There's a large playground for the kids, plenty of covered seating outdoors, a stage that often hosts live music, great beer selection, and a laid back atmosphere. It's a great neighborhood restaurant!Kid friendliness: They have a large playground, extra green space, and a few arcade games. There are always kids playing and keeping one another entertained. "Last night, I had a craving for a delicious steak and baked potato, and I got just that! When I arrived, the bar staff was friendly and took my to-go order. I ordered the steak meal, along with a hamburger and fries. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and will definitely be returning. Next on my list is the chicken-fried steak! "The food amazing! The service, unfortunately, not so great at the beginning, because we waited for about 20 minutes to even be greeted at our table after having been told in passing by someone to seat ourselves. They made up for it though when they gave us a free jar of banana pudding to go! That was a real treat. I had a pulled pork sandwich with french fries and my husband had the burger and onion rings. Both were to die for! His burger wasn't dry and my pulled pork was super tender. I would definitely go back here even despite the service at the beginning. Beware though, you might overeat! This place should definitely be on Guy Fierri's show, Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives! Great local joint and open late."

"I've eaten at Baker Bros so many times!! Granted, it's been about 7yrs now since I've been able to because my fiance and I moved to the country and it's a pretty good distance away from where we live now. But I actually ate there several times between 2001-2009. I can honestly say that I've never once had a bad experience there with the food or otherwise. The Kentucky Club is my absolute favorite! SOOOO delicious! The sandwiches were always stuffed full of the meat, cheese, etc. And the cookies and mini cheesecakes were awesome too!! And the managers were always very nice, as were the employees. Very helpful! I just REALLY LOVE THIS DELI!!!! I can't wait to go back!"

"I recently moved to Texas and decided to try this restaurant for Thanksgiving, even though it was also a busy match day. Despite some confusion with our reservations, the staff were extremely helpful and managed to quickly seat us. The food was excellent, but the standout of the evening was a kind and accommodating lady who went above and beyond to make our experience memorable. Unfortunately, I did not catch her name, but she had a shoulder-length Paige Boy hairstyle and was incredibly friendly. We dined between 7:30 and 9pm and want to extend our thanks to her."

"I traveled to San Antonio to visit my daughter who received her third grandchild from Santa on Christmas Day. I was in town for the Browns/Bengals game, thanks to the Alamo Area Brown's Backers. The weather was surprisingly nice for early January, especially at this dog-friendly bar and restaurant with an amazing outdoor area. The service was excellent, the prices were reasonable, and although I didn't try the food myself, everyone else seemed to be enjoying it. My only regret was not having my 90 lb. Blu Nose Pitbull with me. This is a great spot for dog lovers!"

"I'll never stay at this hotel again. It doesn't deserve to have a Hilton Garden Inn flag on it. Lots of noise both nights from 6th Street. The only parking available is valet at $56.29/night which far exceeds charges at other Austin hotels. To order my car brought down using the QR code they wanted a $7 tip when I'd already generously tipped each time I called for the car. Waited 10-12 minutes and asked the man at the valet counter where my car was. Trevon said didn't have my request. He took my ticket number and said it would be another 15 minutes and was rather dismissive and rude when I pointed out that I'd already waited for about 15 minutes. Twice another attendant pointed out to him that we'd been waiting a long time. Both times he brushed him off. The attendant who eventually brought the car down was VERY apologetic and said the man had held my car because I had complained about the delay. This was insulting and an inferior way to do business."

"Prices versus food quality is what brought my rating way down. Service was good. I had a bill issue, but it was a few dollars difference so I let it go and cut my losses and get out of there. Brought home the left overs and decided it wasn’t worth the disappointment again. I must have had a bad experience because the other reviews made it sound really good. I’d be willing to give it another try, but there’s so many other options I can try that might not be a $70+tip disappointing meal."
