"Our server started off a little bit standoffish, I’m assuming he thought we were spring breakers, but after we talked to him a little bit he eased up. The food was absolutely fantastic, the preparation of the dishes, the fettuccine al tartufo was just perfect. the buffalo mozzarella and prosciutto were a bit underwhelming and I don’t understand why the mozzarella wasn’t cut. I get it, it is for the presentation but had we been offered a steak knife it would’ve made the dish much easier to eat and less messy. The steak that was on special was a T-bone If I remember it correctly. Was delicious but the salt was not sprinkled evenly, one piece was loaded with flaky sea salt and other pieces had no seasoning at all. Those are just little notes and truly are just nitpicking. Overall the food was fantastic, the ghost service was impeccable, pre-bussing was on point. I would’ve just appreciated a bit more warmth from our server and not be looked at like we annoy him or whatnot."

"I have eaten and Vic and Anthony's in the Golden Nugget times it was always great, I thought we should try Ember, big mistake. Oysters and Asparagus were excellent and so were the drinks. But, the steak was terrible and I still wonder why they would even serve it as they did. We ordered it medium and it came out as tough as a shoe. My wife said we should not say anything so we didn't. But, I was not happy at all"

"Food was good....Service, as it seems to be these days, was bad. We had reservations for 4 but the table was not ready (restaurant was not busy, surprisingly for a weekend night), so we had to wait for it. We told the host that we had concert tickets, so we had to get out at 19:15 (we had a Resy of 6:00). We also registered the server. Drinks were coming out slowly, we had to wait a while until the server takes our orders. We finished our drink order since dinner and we had to eat 15 minutes before we had to leave. I couldn't find the server for the bill, so we had to wait for it. So we didn't cost our meals, didn't have enough time to finish them... which were good, but it wasn't a pleasant experience. I warn someone with time limits to look at the bad service before I feed here."

"Toast has been a staple breakfast place for so long but unfortunately our last experience was awful. Our server was wonderful and we recognize none of this was on her. "One of my favorite restaurant experiences I have ever experienced. From the moment we walked in the door, the immediate seating from our reservation, the beautiful smiling faces all around it was just wonderful from the get-go. I had asked online when I placed my reservation if they could leave a simple little note on the table for my fiancé from me. When we got to the table I did not see a note and I was perfectly ok with that ! (because it is a lot to ask for, as a server you have your duties, and leaving a note on the table stating the customers love for someone else is not one of those duties) ... I had totally counted that out as if it were not going to happen and I was totally fine with that! About half way through our experience a beautiful young lady came up to the table, with a golden painted rose in hand and a wonderful handwritten note with exactly what I asked for... When I say this simple action made both of our days.. The simplest of things, and they executed it perfectly and I will never forget the experience I had here, from the food to the drinks to the service, everything was star experience, and the workers went above and beyond to make this happen. I could also write a novel about how amazing the food and drinks were. I've never eaten food that was prepared or served like SUYO.. Star, absolute Star. I will be making the hour drive back to visit you guys again and from the bottom of my heart thank you for making such a simple dining experience absolutely unforgettable."

"A long time favorite. Easy to find vegan gluten free meals. Second time now that I’ve ordered the Rainbow Harvest bowl and found it to be overwhelmingly garlicky. I’m sensitive to garlic so had a hard (and uncomfortable) time digesting. Nowhere in the menu description is “garlic” mentioned, so I’m mentioning this as a reminder to myself and heads up to others. We also got the Thai Peanut Sutra and vegan chili which were delicious. Everyone is super friendly and bubbly, and I will always love the plant friendly bathroom."

"Super smooth. Great waiter, good wine, I didn’t get much to eat by my brother and girlfriend got the salmon and the clam linguini entree. Everything was good, I will be back to try some different things. A bit pricey for the options that are available, I feel like there should be more. I’ve been to plenty of expensive places that just had more for me to choose from that looked and sounded good so it was A bit different here but nonetheless I’ll be back. Charged my Tesla upstairs in the parking deck so it’s super convenient as well."

"The venison and pickled persimmon salad I saw online was not available to order. I was fasting for Ramadan and hoping for a quiet dinner at sundown, but very noisy and obnoxious biotech individuals were having loud discussions. I would have preferred elevator music to their cackle. For the price and the selection, the experience was somewhat painful. Very nice and patient waiters and excellent service, but not likely to revisit"

"I am unsure where our waitress was for most of the evening. We had to ask another waiter for the wine menu and were finished eating by 7:00. Despite this, our waitress did not return to our table until 7:15 when we asked for the check. It took until 7:30 for us to finally pay and leave, after we had to ask another waiter to handle our credit cards. This delay resulted in us being late to an event, as it took over 30 minutes just to settle the bill."

"I was very disappointed because I've dined here before and the food is usually delicious. However, my recent experience was frustrating. We visited on a Sunday for brunch, and they told us they would text us in 20-25 minutes to seat us. After about 30 minutes, we checked back in to see how much longer the wait would be, and they informed us it would be another 25 minutes. We waited an additional 30 minutes and inquired again, only to be told it would be yet another 30-minute wait. This was in stark contrast to the original wait time of 25 minutes. After an hour and a half, we still hadn't been called to be seated. I really wish it had gone better."

"This place has so much potential. I didn’t care for the smoothies the first time, but it came highly recommended so I went back for a 2nd time, then a 3rd time, a 4th time…you get the point. The awakened monkey is my favorite and it tastes just as great sans coffee. My other favorite is the Paradise??? Just yum! They sell potted herbs and fruit trees to take home and they are affordably priced. They also have vendors there sometimes. The ambiance is rustic chic with lots of varied seating. Love the metal swing seat. The gravel is painful to walk on so make sure you wear thick soled shoes. The music is too loud. I have to walk out of the restaurant area after placing an order, but thankfully they have a PA system to call your name on. I love walking around the various areas outside of the restaurant, except the animal area. It smells horribly, is a liquid mess and there is poop everywhere. It’s not cute and I’d never bring a kid there. My tennis shoes became dirty with poop just walking through the area. And I swear the turtle I saw is unhappy, constantly looking for a way out They have a rewards program that no one tells you about, so you have to ask. It’s a good rewards program. #Veganuary"

"I recently visited Quills for the first time. I'm looking forward to the opening of the Jeffersontown location, as it's conveniently located near me. I had a great experience at the Highlands location today. The coffee was delicious, the service was friendly, and the prices were better than other places. There was plenty of space with comfortable tables for relaxing, socializing, or working. I especially enjoyed the book exchange shelves, which had a diverse selection of classic titles, rather than just Harlequin romances."
