"The venison and pickled persimmon salad I saw online was not available to order. I was fasting for Ramadan and hoping for a quiet dinner at sundown, but very noisy and obnoxious biotech individuals were having loud discussions. I would have preferred elevator music to their cackle. For the price and the selection, the experience was somewhat painful. Very nice and patient waiters and excellent service, but not likely to revisit"

We opened catalyst on the very first day they opened after the shutdown. They were GREAT to us. When we go again I'll ask to sit indoor as it is lovely near the fireplace View menu

Despite being short staffed the existing crew did a fabulous job on a busy Saturday evening. Food was excellent; Drinks were a little pricy; but, we will definitely return

Cocktails, wine and food was absolutely amazing. Every part of my chicken entree was cooked perfectly and the flavor was phenomenal. Sitting at the bar with Jay is highly recommended!!! Cant wait to go back

Went for Easter brunch—$75 a person not including drinks. Sat in what felt like a conference room. Food looked/tasted like wedding/cruise food. Child-friendly with Easter activities. Friendly staff. Will not return. View menu

I had a wonderful dinner at Catalyst last night. The restaurant offers a fantastic blend of Mediterranean and classic American dishes. While the prices are a bit high, they are not unreasonable given the excellent quality of the food. I will definitely be dining here again in the future!

Had never heard of Catalyst before making this reservattion due to its location and menu. Food was excellent. interesting celery soup and the gem salad was refreshing. We had the Branzino, Beef Touredo and Tofu all were excellent. good drink menu as well. Only issue is the place was empty on a Saturday night. Maybe Kendall Square is just a week day thing.

"No soup/sandwich shop compares in terms of price per quality, portion size, and different options in the area. I only started ordering from here about 2 weeks ago and I’ve now had 7 different kinds of soups and 4 different kinds of sandwiches after the first order I started ordering two soups and a sandwich aka a soup to save for later because they’re just that good, every one of them. Price is so very reasonable and depending on which combo you get you can make out with a full sized sandwich and large sized homemade soup for $14.While it’s hard to recommend one thing over another in this circumstance since it’s all been great in their own ways, the Chicken Chowder is something I plan on getting a quart of next time it’s available. The Chicken Barley and Chicken Lemon Rice are ones I plan on getting quarts of in the future as well, and that’s not to discount the Chicken Noodle, Beef and Veg Noodle Stew, French Onion, and the current seasonal Chilled Gazpacha (which I probably wouldn’t have even tried it wasn’t from these guys . It’s all top quality. The Chicken Tarragon sandwich is my favorite in terms of sandwiches although it can’t combo with a soup as of now (please let us! . The best cheap soup combo sandwich is a tossup between the Cilantro Tuna and Ciabatta Sandwich, which are both incredible in their own ways. The only few drawbacks to this place are they don’t have every soup they make every day, are only open until 4PM, and aren’t open on the weekends. That said it’s worth it to plan accordingly for this. I never review anything but this place is worth it it’s the best if you’re a soup and sandwich person like I am."
