"Always a good time. One of best happy hours in town...until 7pm. Wednesday is good day for locals as bottles of wine are half price. GM Brian and his team continue to do a great job of not turning their backs to locals...as they balance the convention masses. Prices are always reasonable, parking is free and menu changes during seasons. Centrally located and easy access too. Food is well presented and great portions. French fries might be best in town. Curry spaghetti squash was phenomenal. Resturant is totally swanky with classic Hollywood feel. Staff is accomodating, efficient and personable. You are not treated like just a number here. They are happy for your business as know ultimate upsell is your repeat visit. Do yourself a favor and head in this direction, they are doing the right things. Well done!!!"

"Our group of five, all from out of town and ethnically diverse, had a disappointing experience at High Cotton. While the she-crab soup and appetizers were promising, the meal took a turn quickly. The swordfish, which our waitress recommended as the catch of the day, was dry and overcooked. We would have addressed this if given the chance, but our waitress didn’t return to check on us in a timely manner. We were also disheartened by the service from the lead manager, an older gentleman with slicked-back blonde hair. He barely acknowledged our table and was noticeably more attentive to a large group of older white diners nearby. This disparity in service made us feel neglected and undervalued. For a meal costing $100 per head, we expected a far superior experience. Our visit fell short of the high standards we anticipated, and we hope High Cotton takes this feedback seriously to ensure all guests (regardless of their background) receive equal and respectful service."

"Amazing service with amazing views! Felt safe and was able to relax and enjoy time with family while overlooking Denver and the mountains. The menu for The Smokehouse and BBQ is very different than the typical Fort menu and the food is not quite the same level quality, but all of that could be overlooked because the service was absolutely spectacular and every precaution was taken to make sure ever guest and staff member were safe throughout our entire visit. Highly recommend for a way to get out while still being safe and being able to social distance."

"We loved finding this place! Since my husband loves golf I thought it was very fitting. The view is incredible. When we dined it was a bit smoky due to the fires but we still sat outside for the pretty view. I would say overall the people are really nice but the service needs some work. We mentioned to the server it was our anniversary and she happily congratulated us but I guess I just expected a dessert or something to make the dinner experience more exceptional. There were no check ins on how the food was (I would have gladly shared my oily pasta saga). When I asked the server what kinds of desserts they had she shrugged her shoulders and said “I don’t know, let me get you a menu.” If you work somewhere you should know the menu and be able to suggest items! Lots of high school summer workers and very polite and courteous. We’d definitely go back for sure next time we’re in Truckee"

"Went to Waterzooi in Garden City last night for date night with hubby, food was great it never disappoints. Lucifer Mussels are always on point, with just enough kick. The steak frites was perfectly cooked. Our Pinot noir was a nice addition to our delicious dinner. Service was good and always with a smile. To end our dinner we had a simple but yet tasty pistachio gelato. Sometimes simple is more as our lovely waitress put it. Thank you Waterzooi for being consistent. See you soon."

We had the escargot, the tuna tartare, the blue point oysters and to finish it all we had a lobster roll with truffle french fries with this mayonnaise that was absolutely delicious. Every dish was superb and dipping the bread in the escargot sauce was just amazing because it's butter, olive oil and garlic so dipping the bread in that was just amazing."

"BABA is a hidden gem located in the heart of Clarendon, Arlington. This cozy speakeasy is perfect for brunch or a date night. Their brunch buffet, priced at $29.99 with unlimited drinks for $0.25 each, is a steal and my go-to spot in the area. The ambiance is intimate and quirky, making it ideal for a more mature vibe. The staff is consistently friendly, and the food is top-notch, with everything made in the same kitchen as its sister restaurant, Ambar. I was initially hesitant about the menu, but after trying it, I became obsessed. The Tres Leches dessert is a must-try. Although BABA is currently closed due to COVID, they plan to reopen soon. I can't wait to visit again and experience their unique charm in a different setting. Highly recommend checking out this underrated spot in Arlington."

"Went for a team holiday dinner on a Tuesday night. There were 7 in our party, and although the place was pretty empty, they wouldn't sit us until more than half showed up. Not a big deal. Most of the group had the prix fixe with the filet mignon . I ordered the French onion soup, sea bass, mac and cheese and the Crème brûlée. From the table, I heard the filet mignon was overcooked for 3 of the 5 of them. My seabass was also a little overcooked but not bad. Not the best seabass I've had. French onion soup was okay. The Mac and cheese was really good, and so was the Crème brûlée. Service also took a really long time. We sat down at 5:15pm and didn't get desert until 8pm. All in all, not a bad experience but could have been better for the price"

"It was my mom’s birthday and we had a party of 8 for dinner reservations at 6:45pm on 12/15 and requested to sit near the fireplace. Around 12:30pm on 12/15 I received a call with options to sit near the fireplace since the table in front of it only sat 2. The woman I spoke with was so helpful and pleasant and we picked the best seating option which turned out to be great! Our server was wonderful and so helpful in selecting dinner and drink options. The holiday decor was so festive and we had an amazing evening! Thank you so much to everyone who helped make my mom’s birthday so special!! The crispy Brussels sprouts, meatballs, croquettes, pork belly, arugula beet salad, Amish chicken, filet mignon stroganoff, herder’s pie come highly recommended as do all the desserts!"

"Last minute, we had to cancel our downtown reservations due to the roads and the snow (missed the All-Star events)! I went with a new reservation at Prime 47 in Carmel, which is much closer to home. DRINKS: We started with the smoked Sazerac drink for three at the table, and the presentation was nice! I had an amazing glass of Caymus! APPETIZERS: We moved on to the appetizers with Calamari and the Waygu tacos. Those little tacos were filled with flavor! The Calamari has red bell pepper and the presentation and taste were great. ENTREE: We then moved on to dinner. Tableside preparation of the steak with the Farbuckle filet, two had the Delmonico Ribeyes, and one was celebrating Lent, so went with the Salmon. Overall, no one had a single complaint. The steaks were cooked wonderfully, and my ribeye was filled with flavor. I did get it Oscar style and it took away from the meat flavor adding on the crab, but nothing to do with the restaurant, just my preference for the future. DESSERT: I moved on to dessert, and I did remember to get some pictures of that! The brown butter cake was to die for! The cookie comes out piping hot and the carrot cake is so moist! We saw the cotton candy appetizer go by and it was fun to watch. Sorry, I did not get a picture of it! Blinking lights and at last 3 feet tall! SERVICE: We had a great night, and the manager kept checking on the table, and we felt like royalty even with the restaurant full. Our waiter was fun and attentive. The only thing that went wrong was no appetizer plates for sharing. We just passed around the serving plates and went without!"

"We made early dinner reservations on a Saturday so the restaurant was pretty empty and quiet (no jazz band). The Lobster stuffed Mushrooms, Bass, Brussel Sprouts and Creamed Spinach were tasty, but the Filet and Lobster Tail lacked flavor. The filet must have been oven broiled only. The Lobster tail was overdone and curled to one side. The Lobster Bisque soup had carrots... which was interesting (not bad, just different). Overall an average dining experience"

"don't waste your money here. the meal was badly prepared. we ordered 3 kitty salads. the keil des eisbergsalats was over “fresh”, as the leaves were a bright yellow-white. the blue cheese quality lacked taste. the food was served cold. with taking the chicken on the teller of my daughter, the four escapes were served cold. I asked my laughs to be dry, well done; it was sent back to the cook as it was not. my fish were boiled and placed on the same three asparagus first, but the asparagus was stone cold, obviously not reheated and could I add. the host who sat us gave me my menu, then it went on to pass the next menu of my daughter. the friend of my daughter went to take the menu as the hostess her poorly stretched over the table to reach my daughter. the hostess actually told him “Ladies first” in a respectful ton. he replied, “I wanted to give it to her.” there was a disappointing celebration, as we decided especially for the dinner of my daughter in the restaurant. I was fasting for Ramadan and hoping for a quiet dinner at sundown, but very noisy and obnoxious biotech individuals were having loud discussions. I originally made a reservation for 4 on NYE and when my daughter’s party plans got canceled due to illness, I called and asked if they could accommodate one more person. I knew it was a stretch but the gentleman I spoke to made it happen for a 7:00 reservation on NYE. I really cannot say enough good about our experience last night at Catch 25.
