"We were delighted to discover this hidden gem of a restaurant for lunch the other day. After living in the area for over a year, we were tired of dining at local restaurants that served mediocre food that seemed to come from a can, a box, or the freezer. It felt like all the restaurants in the southern central PA region were purchasing their food in bulk from wholesale stores like Sam's Club, BJ's, or Costco. Tapenade Bistro was a refreshing change of pace. Our lunch tasted incredibly fresh, as if each ingredient had just been picked, and the dishes were expertly prepared by skilled chefs or cooks. The owner, who we believe was a woman, made a point to speak with each table of diners and was genuinely interested in their dining experience. Our server was also attentive and professional. Overall, dining at Tapenade Bistro in the middle of the day was one of the best culinary experiences we've had in the York area in the past 18 months. We applaud the owners and their staff for providing us with such a wonderfully crafted meal."
