"You know what I love more than perfect service and perfectly executed meals? I love when an establishment get put through the wringer, makes mistakes, has delays but still provides amazing service and makes every effort to make things right. We ordered online for a Mother's Day meal. Since COVID 19 is in full effect, we decided to pick up curb side. Upon arriving, we noticed lots of cars waiting. It seemed that their kitchen was slammed. But someone came out immediately to take my name and check on my order. It was communicated to me that there was a delay, and I was prepared to wait. When the food finally came the girl was so sweet and apologetic, I appreciated her kind demeanor. It's not her fault we are in the middle of a pandemic on one of the busiest restaurant days. When we got home we realized we were missing a baked potato. I gave them a call, and instead of excuses or an attitude, I was offered an option of either coming back to get it or a discount for future orders. I'm not going to get my panties in a wad over a baked potato, but it was awesome of them to address the mistake and try to offer me something return. It left a very good impression of them in my mind. I know mistakes can happen, I know delays are a part of life. How staff and management handle these hiccups speaks volumes to me. I will definitely be a returning customer here. The food is always great, steaks cooked exactly how I asked, but the great customer service is what seals the deal for me."

"I want to recognize two Outback Steakhouse #4759 team members for transforming an anticipated steakhouse dining experience into a very memorable one. Amanda, a vibrant member of the wait staff, and Devon, the evening's manager, made us feel as if we were guests in their own homes. What makes it even more remarkable is the fact this was a very busy Saturday night, yet we were treated as if we were their only guests. Amanda was attentive without being intrusive. She dazzled us with her hustle and cheerfulness made all the more impressive because we observed this was how she treated all of the guests at her tables. Devon first caught our attention when he paused to inquire how nearby guests were enjoying their dining experience. Shortly thereafter, he appeared with a condiment for a neighboring table and to check on any other requests. Then, as he appeared to do for every table in the restaurant, he paused to ask how we were enjoying our evening. Not surprising, like Amanda, he returned to our area repeatedly to ensure every diner was cared for. As we prepared to leave both Amanda and Devon took the time to invite us to return in the near future. I can write without exaggeration the only times I have experienced this warmth, concern, attention to detail, and hospitality are when our hosts were the actual owners of the restaurant. We will return to the Outback Steakhouse near Chesapeake Square Mall, if for no other reasons than Amanda and Devon."

"The food quality was excellent. I had the surf turf with lobster and filet mignon. Both were awesome! The lobster was super-small, but great in taste. This was one of the best filets I've had in a LONG time. Kudos to the chef(s) on the preparation--it was a perfect medium rare. My wife had the sirloin. She said it was good but not as tasty and tender as the filet of course. This would have been a five-star experience but our server didn't rise up for the challenge. They were not busy so he can't use that excuse. He was a bit cold when taking our order and after we got our food, he was gone for more than 10 minutes at a time. We don't know where he went. He never asked us once if we liked the food or if we needed anything else. There was no conversation beyond the initial order. As you can see in my photo, my drink glass was empty. We waited a long time (over 10 minutes) before we had to flag him down to get a refill. He dropped off the check and didn't ask us if we had a good dining experience or anything else. We asked for a to-go soda and had to wait another 10 minutes for that. Needless to say, he didn't get a good tip from us. This could have been a five-star experience and it is unfortunate that a server can lower the rating. He also needs to understand that he can go home with more in his pocket if he just puts a bit of effort into making things pleasant for his customers. I hope management will see this and remind their servers that the eating experience isn't just about good food. Otherwise, this was a good eating adventure and we will back again. Hopefully we will have a better server. Kudos to the kitchen for super-excellent food!"
