"I've heard wonderful things about this restaurant from foodies and average consumers alike. Upscale establishments like this, while increasing in frequency, are still few and far between in this part of the greater Seattle area. Naturally, I was very intrigued and immediately in love with the Bauhaus meets West Manhattan aesthetic. Unfortunately on this night, however, which was simultaneously my initial sensitizing event, the food was a big miss. The steak in the steak frites was way too fatty, bizarrely greasy, and not a good cut for the price at all. The truffles steak butter fries were quite tasty but very heavy. The beef carpaccio was fresh, but a bit too thin and challenging to extract from the serving plate. The Manny's Pale Ale was delicious as expected. And as also expected, significantly more from an establishment of this supposed caliber. I will return at some point to give it a second shot, but will take my time in doing so."
