"On vacation at resort where ECHO is located. They imply they are more upscale in the dining room and also have outdoor seating. I know things are adjusted due to COVID but the table was not set, there is no type of dress code. The very small dining room seemed crowded and was very noisy despite obviously being adjusted for social distancing. We showered and changed for dinner but they seated others who appeared to be straight in from the poolbeach who even remarked are we underdressed? The restaurant was very loud. There were families present but the noise issue did not seem to be unruly children, just loud taking, etc when the restaurant sells itself as romantic and waterfront, etc. We actually decided to leave before ordering because we felt dining in the restaurant would not be a good experience and to place a togo order there is no room service due to COVID only take out from this restaurant. The waiter insisted on placing the order for us and came and found us in the nearby lobby, which was one higher point. The food was just ok and we thought a portion of scallops and a modest amount of sautéed veg as an entree for was out of line based on the style of food and restaurant. We also had a mediocre pasta but the fish portion was well seasoned and cooked. A mixed bag. Other take out meals during the day were better"

"Last time I was there it took a really long time for our food to arrive. My food was fine but one of my friends had a sandwich with very little in it. There were other customers who arrived after us that received their orders in a timely manner so I don't know why we had to wait so long. We were friendly and polite and all and still tipped generously. Also, there's a mentally divergent lady that worked there for over six years that was fired when the new owners took over. Apparently the other mentally divergent person was also fired. I only ate there because my meetup group met up there, otherwise I wouldn't patronise the place because that seemed very discriminatory to me. I have advised my group to find a different place to meet up in the future."

"In the past have always had good lunches or dinners — because of Covid we were not able to cross the border to eat at Eastside. Yesterday we finally went for lunch——its the first time I order and was totally disappointed. Reading it on menu sounded very appealing — was not at all what I had thought. I’m surprised that this restaurant even serves this. Generally what of they serve is very good but for those who see the turkey burger on the menu——steer clear, turkey is suppose to be lean— it’s more like a sausage patty."

"I stopped for lunch while traveling through the Eastern Sierra on a camping and fishing trip. I met Will and decided to order the BBQ chicken, and wow, what an excellent choice! I'm not a food connoisseur, but this might be the best BBQ chicken I've ever had! Will offers you BBQ sauce, but it's definitely unnecessary because the chicken is seasoned perfectly, cooked just right, and incredibly juicy! It was so delicious that I swung by again four days later for the tri-tip, but unfortunately, they were sold out! So, I went for another round of the chicken instead. I will definitely return, and I'm even considering planning another motorcycle ride across Ebbetts Pass or Sonora Pass just to have lunch at Growlers again! Thank you, Will; the chicken was fantastic!"
