"The server was fantastic and she did a great job making us comfortable and attending to us. The ambiance is great and very clean. As far as food goes, it was a little disappointing, decent, but not plate-lick worthy for the price. Guess you arepaying for the ambiance, not the food because I have had better Italian food at a dive bar. Read some of the reviews about burntpita bread and it was the same that came with our cheese dip. While the cheese dip was great tasting there was a bitter taste,it was the same for the Chicken And Prosciutto that I ordered. Took me a while to figure out Store-bought minced garlic. Onesuggestion to the chef would be to use Fresh Garlic/Garlic powder or if you have to use minced garlic, maybe cook it a littlelonger to mitigate the bitter taste. The chicken was FANTASTIC, juicy, and crispy. But overall the pasta dish was justwatered-down Alfredo sauce. I bet it will taste good as leftover after the sauce has thickened overnight in the fridge. Fordessert, we got crème brûlée. As you see in the picture, the sugar was over-caramelized- it should have cracked with the backof the spoon however, it only folded. The burnt sugar made it very bitter and had to scoop off the top layer to enjoy thecustard inside. It was a complimentary anniversary dessert but would have been nice if they treated it as though we paid forit. We will try again another time hopefully we can raise the star points since everyone else seemed to enjoy this place butme. Good luck and apologize for the thorough yet bitter review."

"Nestled in a secret garden off College Ave, Wahoo! Grill has been serving Decatur for 18 years and we know why they love it. The moment you walk in the door you’re greeted with an indoor-outdoor vibe, in the main dining space, while outside a large patio that feels secluded. On the menu, a wide variety of options abound from Wahoo fish to lamb to southern staples, as well as a great cocktail menu and desserts. Let’s explore. Starting with their signature Grilled Wahoo Sofrito that’s tender yet meaty and topped with a tomato forward Spanish sofrito sauce, earthy, crunchy asparagus, and an earthy, seasoned savory risotto underneath. OR go for their new menu item, the grilled half rack of lamb, our favorite bite of the day! Succulent and tender, well-seasoned lamb, the rhubarb sauce underneath is sweet and juxtaposed the savory meat. Then, paired with a sharp and herbaceous potatoes au gratin and earthy asparagus! Plus, Wahoo! Grill’s cocktail program is “perfection” with this Pina en la pina is a fresh and tangy pina colada style drink with a great tang, cream, and dash of nutmeg. And for the finale, make sure to sample the bread pudding; it’s grandmother’s recipe! It is warm and rich, stuffed with raisins topped with a creamy bourbon glaze. OMG! Other menu highlights include the Pimento cheese Fritters! They are sinful crispy bites stuffed with pimento cheese inside then a sharp and a sweet spicy tomato sauce underneath! Also, their solid fried green tomatoes that are crispy, perfectly breaded outside, slightly crisp yet tender tomato inside, then a balsamic drizzle for brightness and cool goat cheese to round out the bite. They typically come with shrimp, but we got without. Fried chicken, a staple of Wahoo! Grill’s menu, is plump and tender, and has a great crunch outside. Paired with collard greens that are rich, spicy and savory, as well as crunchy warm fries. Finish it off with, A crime of passion, an herbaceous and floral gin cocktail mixed with juicy passion fruit and lime, then a rose petal rim to dress it up!"

"The Charter Oak is located in the heart of St. Helena and is a must-stop destination if you 're in the Napa Valley area. We dined at The Charter Oak on our first night in Napa, and it was a phenomenal start to the trip. I recommend making reservations in advance as it can be busy and it 's a pretty small restaurant overall. Reservations can be made in advance through Resy. The Charter Oak has a private parking lot with an ample amount of free parking. We entered the restaurant, just look for a large wooden door to the right after you leave the parking lot. We missed it at first and walked right past it, lol. We entered the restaurant, and were greeted warmly by the host and also were congratulated about our 1 year anniversary that was noted on the reservation. We then were seated and the server also recognized the special occasion as well and provided us two glasses of complimentary champagne to celebrate the occasion as well. The server came back a few minutes later and offered to answer any questions we had, and we placed our order. For drinks, we ordered a bottle of red blend wine I don 't remember which one, I think it was around $70 for the bottle and was really tasty. I don 't think there 's a bad bottle of wine on the menu. For food, we started with the Salad of Little Gems $19 , and it was phenomenal, very fresh I think it was probably from their farm just up the street . We also ordered The Cheeseburger $25 and it included a small side of fries. The burger was also very tasty and was absolutely outstanding! We also ordered the side of Garden Broccoli $13 and it was also all very fresh and tasty as well. We ended the meal with the Jersey Cow 's Milk Soft Serve ice cream $12 which also came from a nearby dairy farm, and it was also really good. We didn 't have a single bad thing on the menu and service was great! Definitely stop in if you 're in the area!"
