"So get the bad news over with fast. This is not a family restaurant, at least to my knowledge, and it is not the most economical place to eat in the city. That being said, this was my first visit to a Milestones restaurant but it won't be my last. I visited the one at South Edmonton Common, just across the street to the west of the Cineplex. I went for lunch, arrived at about 15 minutes before noon on a workday Friday. This would be a slow time for a place like this in this type of area. So the service should be good, it was excellent. The meal I had was a sweet chili chicken bowl. It was extremely good. My meal was $24.68 including GST, so somewhat pricey but not overly expensive, considering the quality and quantity of food. My meal had a spicy, but not super hot, sweet chili sauce over a bed of very good rice with sauteed onions and sweet peppers, coated fried chicken pieces, and homemade taco chips. Extremely tasty and I recommend to those who like some zing in their meal but don't want to set their mouths on fire. There are appetizers, sandwiches, and other entrees; some spicy but most not. The restaurant is well maintained and clean, the lounge appears the same. The place is casual dress but it is somewhat upscale as well. I enjoyed my dining experience there a lot and I do recommend this place for a nice dinner alone or with others. Good ambiance as well. Just an update to my previous review. This restaurant has reopened after the Covid19 mandated shutdown. I was here on June 26, 2020. I'm leaving the five star rating up. I had a delicious salad as a light meal and the service was first rate. The staff all wear facemasks and honour the distancing protocols as much as is possible in a restaurant setting. Alternating tables are left empty and unused to maintain physical distancing of the customers. Sanitization procedures are in place. All in all, an enjoyable dining experience under the circumstances."

"In terms of pricing, $12.99 for an 11-inch pizza isn’t competitive. Competitors like Mod offer more size options, while Burnt only has a one-size-fits-all approach, except for kids' pizzas. At Mod, I can get a pizza, salad, and soda for around $16. However, at Burnt, it's $13 just for the pizza, plus $7 for a salad, and a few extra bucks for a drink. On a positive note, the staff was willing to remake my pizza with less cheese and paid more attention to leaving some crust. However, they seemed a bit put out by my request to serve it without the paper underneath. The second pizza held the toppings much better, though maybe their crust isn't designed for heavy toppings. It was decent but still very hot from the oven and had an extremely thin, dry crust—perhaps a nod to their name "Burnt." I personally enjoy the char on Blaze Pizzas, and their crust isn't dry, which Burnt hasn’t quite perfected yet. I noticed they cooked my pizza for about 8 to 9 minutes, possibly to avoid the toppings falling off again, but in doing so, the crust ended up drying out. The atmosphere was nice, with pleasant music, but the restrooms were a letdown. They were dirty and had appliances that showed their age. Having a blow dryer without paper towels meant that after washing my hands, I had to touch the door handle that others likely didn’t clean, which was quite off-putting."
