"We were greeted with gusto by Bryan with a Y. He's a New Yorker like myself, so I knew he'd have great menu recommendations. A few regulars were sitting and waiting for their food too, who were excited for us to have our first burgers. The whole atmosphere was very friendly. I felt like it was another day in the neighborhood, and like I belonged.I am telling you that this is the best burger I've ever had. Absolutely the best. You get as many 3 oz patties as you want and there is every topping you can think of. And the fries, oh the thick cut Belgian fries that were MADE for dipping sauces. I regret splitting an order with my husband. Next time I'll be getting my own.With The Dam in our neighborhood, there is no reason to ever eat a fast food burger again. We spent the same amount we usually spend at the drive through, for high quality local restaurant food.My only wish is that they would offer pre-combined mayo ketchup. It's a popular European combo and they ARE connected to a soccer bar!We sat in the soccer bar, close to the window at a high top table. We had a romantic night in the dimly lit bar. It has been a trying day, and this low key evening of bonding time was rejuvenating.The bar was so cool, especially the decor. I felt like I had been transported to the heart of Amsterdam itself. I was surprised there weren't any wild hooligans with their faces painted, but I had wanted a quiet night so it was fine.The bartender was personable and our drinks were really good. When our food was ready, Bryan brought it over.This is my new favorite restaurant. What a treat.I just love the atmosphere, the kindness, and the dedication to delicious food. I can't wait to go back."
