"I was preggo hankering for some boba why do I always post reviews when I 'm pregnant , and Yelp led me to this plaza with a lot of eateries. Of course, my eyes and my tummy lit up when I saw Rubio 's, and remembered it was Taco Tuesday. What luck! I decided it was fate, and knew where dinner was going to be. When I walked in, the customer ahead of me was just wrapping up with payment and sat down. My turn next. Without a word, the staff member started to bustle around to pack food and tend to other things. I wasn 't too bothered by it, but would have been nice to have my presence acknowledged. A few minutes go by and despite an occasional eye contact, nothing is said. Finally as she hands another customer their food, she tells me sorry for the wait, I 'll be right with you. Must have only been 3 minutes since I stepped up to the counter, but it felt a bit like an eternity. When she finally is ready to take my order, I decide on 8 original tacos $1.99 Taco Tuesdays, can 't be beat! Also, I swear I 'm sharing and a Mexican Street Corn Bowl with Mahi Mahi. I was asked if I wanted to dine in or get it to go, and I opted for the latter. I shall snarf my food in the safety and lack of judgement at home, please. As I wait for my food to be prepped, I grab a little condiment cup of sliced limes. The tub is nearly empty, with maybe less than 8-9 slices remaining. By the time my little cup was filled, perhaps there were only 2 slices left. The salsas seem well stocked though. I would suggest having more tubs of lime available, as that tends to be a more popular item or there was another tub and I didn 't see it, if so, sorry, ignore this part . After 8-9 minutes, I finally get my food. It 's handed to me by a very friendly staff member. Turns out he 's the new General Manager Greg. He 's a breath of fresh air after the encounter with the first staff member. Upon looking in my bag as I head out, I notice that there 's 2 to-go boxes that had my tacos, but only a tiny bowl of Mexican Street Corn the side . Given the total I was charged, I know my rice bowl was inputted correctly, so the error must have come from back of house. I went back to Greg, and mentioned the error. He was extremely apologetic, said there 'd be no extra charge, I can keep the side, and he 'll get my order fixed right away. He even asked if I wanted my Mahi Mahi blackened or regular which means it was an option that I wasn 't asked before at the register . When he came back, he explained that he 's the new GM and these are the kinds of problems he 's trying to address. He apologized again, and also offered me a drink while I was waiting I declined . Within a handful of minutes, my correct item was handed over, and he profusely apologized again and said he hopes to see me again soon. I get home, and as intended, snarf my food. The tacos are great, as usual although I think the white sauce that 's usually on there is less than I remember from years past . The rice bowl was a new order for me and it looked appetizing, but turns out it 's 65% rice under the toppings and fish above. That was a bit of a bummer. Overall, decent food, totally worthwhile for the Taco Tuesdays. Unless the ratios change for the rice bowls, I 'll probably not go back to it in the future. The experience with customer service was subpar initially, but Greg was a great interaction, and I have faith that he 'll help turn the staff around soon. If the rest of the staff have an ounce of his energy and stellar attitude/customer service, the whole vibe of the establishment will be a big improvement. I look forward to coming back when the next Taco Tuesday hankering hits :"
