"How refreshing. Fresno market is saturated with tacos places but I have yet to find a place that does a shrimp taco well. I personally think they place does. The problem with a lot of other places they don't offer very much sauce. So the taco would have to solely rely on the flavor of the shrimp. Here at rubios they offer super flavorful shrimps and a nice creamy sauce. On top of that they ask if you want salsa. I got the shrimp trio and each one packs a punch. All different styles and flavors and it was all so good. I also got the California burrito with steak and added shrimp. That burrito was about $16 and it was worth it because they added such a generous amount of shrimp. Normally when you ask for extra shrimp somewhere they offer like 4 shrimps. But not here. I felt like I had a shrimp in every bite. But the only thing I didn't like was the kids fish and fries. The fish piece were so big. I was surprised they offer the two fish prices, fries, and a drink for $7. The flavor of the fish was good, seasoned well. But man that fish was soooo oily. It was dripping in oil. Almost like they cooked it in oil that wasn't fully heated. Next time I'll try a fish taco and see if that's oily too. But overall I was satisfied. The food was good. Our waitress/cashier person was super helpful. It was our first time there and she answered al our questions. Would come again."

"I was preggo hankering for some boba why do I always post reviews when I 'm pregnant , and Yelp led me to this plaza with a lot of eateries. Of course, my eyes and my tummy lit up when I saw Rubio 's, and remembered it was Taco Tuesday. What luck! I decided it was fate, and knew where dinner was going to be. When I walked in, the customer ahead of me was just wrapping up with payment and sat down. My turn next. Without a word, the staff member started to bustle around to pack food and tend to other things. I wasn 't too bothered by it, but would have been nice to have my presence acknowledged. A few minutes go by and despite an occasional eye contact, nothing is said. Finally as she hands another customer their food, she tells me sorry for the wait, I 'll be right with you. Must have only been 3 minutes since I stepped up to the counter, but it felt a bit like an eternity. When she finally is ready to take my order, I decide on 8 original tacos $1.99 Taco Tuesdays, can 't be beat! Also, I swear I 'm sharing and a Mexican Street Corn Bowl with Mahi Mahi. I was asked if I wanted to dine in or get it to go, and I opted for the latter. I shall snarf my food in the safety and lack of judgement at home, please. As I wait for my food to be prepped, I grab a little condiment cup of sliced limes. The tub is nearly empty, with maybe less than 8-9 slices remaining. By the time my little cup was filled, perhaps there were only 2 slices left. The salsas seem well stocked though. I would suggest having more tubs of lime available, as that tends to be a more popular item or there was another tub and I didn 't see it, if so, sorry, ignore this part . After 8-9 minutes, I finally get my food. It 's handed to me by a very friendly staff member. Turns out he 's the new General Manager Greg. He 's a breath of fresh air after the encounter with the first staff member. Upon looking in my bag as I head out, I notice that there 's 2 to-go boxes that had my tacos, but only a tiny bowl of Mexican Street Corn the side . Given the total I was charged, I know my rice bowl was inputted correctly, so the error must have come from back of house. I went back to Greg, and mentioned the error. He was extremely apologetic, said there 'd be no extra charge, I can keep the side, and he 'll get my order fixed right away. He even asked if I wanted my Mahi Mahi blackened or regular which means it was an option that I wasn 't asked before at the register . When he came back, he explained that he 's the new GM and these are the kinds of problems he 's trying to address. He apologized again, and also offered me a drink while I was waiting I declined . Within a handful of minutes, my correct item was handed over, and he profusely apologized again and said he hopes to see me again soon. I get home, and as intended, snarf my food. The tacos are great, as usual although I think the white sauce that 's usually on there is less than I remember from years past . The rice bowl was a new order for me and it looked appetizing, but turns out it 's 65% rice under the toppings and fish above. That was a bit of a bummer. Overall, decent food, totally worthwhile for the Taco Tuesdays. Unless the ratios change for the rice bowls, I 'll probably not go back to it in the future. The experience with customer service was subpar initially, but Greg was a great interaction, and I have faith that he 'll help turn the staff around soon. If the rest of the staff have an ounce of his energy and stellar attitude/customer service, the whole vibe of the establishment will be a big improvement. I look forward to coming back when the next Taco Tuesday hankering hits :"

"love love love rubio’s! what began as a business idea of a South California surfer has turned into some of the best Mexican causal foods. he bought the recipe for the amazing fish tacos for a few dollar from a taco stand at one of his surf spots in baja mexiko and put the fish taco' after California. from there it has caught like wild fire, and the menu has expanded to fresh grilled items, hummer tacos, burritos and more. the fishtacos are made with a delicate crispy beacon, fresh comminuted cauliflower and a super tasty white sauce that is lovingly wrapped in a warm maistortilla. everything is fresh and tasty and oh so good. I have starved to think about it. mouth irrigation, food fantasy mode. I was at several different places, (orange county ca, tucson az, denver co, etc. and they are all consistently clean, well run, friendly and good food quality. yes, I am attached to rubio’s fish tacos and they even have a taco Tuesday,’ when the tacos are on sale. bring a rubio to bellingham wa so I don't have to make an expedition to repair my rubios! I'm not asking you. put it on the university, they have a free taco day or something, and bellingham will be for taking it. ps do not forget to try the hummertacos that were washed out with icey cold corona or modelo especial. squeeze some lime juice on there and boil to the free salsa bar, which is freshly made daily with many dif types salsa and pico de gallo. when the weather is beautiful, they sit outside under the palms and they will swear that they sit on the beach in mexiko. dear rubios!"
