"I had heard about this place before, so when I passed, I decided it was time to try. The first thing that caught my attention was the guy at the front counter. His customer service skills were ON POINT! His enthusiasm was infectious, and he showed how much he took care of every individual customer who came into the door while I was there. But even more than that, he kept the customers feeling as if they waited for their food, instead of just while they ordered it. During the waiting, I had asked how the clam chowder was. He told me it would be amazing, of course. At least I knew he had served me some to try. I didn't know that until AFTER I decided to tap 50%, just because of its excellent customer service capabilities (and before I even tried the food! He was super grateful and showed the container of the soup that he had secreted for me before he even knew I would tap him, and we had a good laugh. My order was to go. I had decided this time to try a double Western Bacon Cheeseburger with the regular Pommes. But the Clam Chowder called me and I had to try. I am very picky about Clam Chowder and make a point to try every place I can. I was AMAZED, it was one of the best shells I ever had. I have to make a taste test with my top two on the coast. When I came to the burgers and fries, it just confirmed that this place is amazing. Roasted rolls, excellent tasting grill sauce, meat with wonderful taste, delicious onion rings and frits that were delicious and perfectly cooked. Not only will I go back, I will take so many people there to try as I can. I was excited to end food so I could write this review. Customer service won my heart and food won my stomach. Bravo."

"I am baffled at the obsession that everything must have cheese on it. I ordered two 1/4 pound hamburgers I emphasize hamburgers. I explained I wanted one plain, meat and bun only; no cheese! The second was with lettuce, spread, pickle, and whatever; again no cheese. I also ordered a chicken and chips which saved the meal. When I paid, the cashier seemed to confirm the order was for 2 hamburgers, one specifically plain. My instinct was to check the order before leaving the window but I was tired from Friday traffic and hungry, so I just headed home. Oh what a surprise, both were imbedded with cheese. I could have returned but going back, explaining the staff 's zeal to make everything with cheese, and going home to eat would have left me in a fouler mood than right now. I simply do not like cheese, nor anything else on my hamburger. It 's bad enough to get the disbelieving looks that I would actually like to eat a plain hamburger but when the staff tries to second guess what I want and smother it with cheese, I get a little irate. Rather than make a scene, I can vent on your website that has been graciously offered. I do not appreciate wasting money on food I cannot (or will not) eat, anymore than I enjoy wasting time and gas to return to have someone get the order right the second or third time. Burgerville is not unique to this problem but I would love an explanation as to how one may place an order and have it filled correctly. My line for decades has been, I want a hamburger plain and dry, nothing on it; just the meat and the bun. The usual response beyond the perplexed look is, Do you want cheese on it? . Restraining the urge to inquiry about hearing loss, I confirm, No cheese. Plain and dry, just the meat and the bun; no cheese. Alas, the staff who obviously are subsidized by the dairy industry, melts cheese into every book and cranny. Given the wages that must be paid, l would think employee training work include customer satisfaction like giving the customer what they ordered or explaining why the request cannot be fulfilled. Your staff let you down, and flogging is no longer a permitted option. That said, how can I get what I ordered prepared and presented properly?
