"I had the Brisket Taco and the Shrimp taco. The Brisket taco was amazing and it's my favorite so far. The Shrimp taco was not good. The Shrimp was cold and old, like it had been sitting out for hours. I'm gonna give it another chance though. There are so many things to choose from. It was hard to pick just 2. There is an Acholic beverage bar here and drink specials. I absolutely love this place. The staff is friendly and fast. You can sit and have a beer or cocktail while you wait on your food. They use the beeper coasters so you'll know when your order is ready. Cool lunch spot for sure. Enjoy!"

"Today I went to this location and everyone else before me was not race but was getting good customer service once I get to the register not only was I given an attitude before order she asked how was my day and I said good and I ask her about hers and she gave another attitude. All this to say not only did she give me an attitude she made my order a fine in when I said to go. Also it could be she was having a bad day but regardless my customer service was different compared to the people before me"

"Trendy restaurant, slow service, no firearms allowed. The building is nice, busy parking in the rear, everything looked pretty clean and kept up. Went there for the third time today and ordered chips and queso and two tacos (republican and trailer park-trashy). Tacos are a bit steep as expected for the location. We got our drinks and found a seat. It was a late lunch on a Friday so it was pretty empty other than a handful of other tables. The wait was exceptionally long before we received just our chips and queso. Then quite a while still before I received my two tacos. Even my incredibly patient wife made a couple comments on the wait. Definitely not somewhere to go if you are short on time. Food was decent. Queso seemed more like a warm salsa than a cheese queso dip but it wasn't bad, and the tacos had plenty of flavor going on. Staff was pleasant. I think there are too many other places with better food and faster service to make me want to come back here. Also, ownership should consider perhaps changing to a sign just prohibiting open carry if they don't like guns visible. This is Oklahoma and a lot of people carry concealed. It has caused me to veto this choice on multiple occasions when my wife suggested it. Also, the sign doesn't stop anyone from carrying anyway (or so I've been told). I thought perhaps this was a corporate decision, however I noticed at another location they did not have any such sign posted."

"So I recently started to go to Torchys midtown on the corner of Rosedale and Forest Park. Since I have been going, Stormy has been the bartender and I have an issue with the spouse coming over and sitting at the bar while she is working and disturbing her. What really disgusted me this one particular time is when Stormy’s husband ordered some chips and queso, I ordered a drink and before she served my drink she helped herself to some of her husbands chips and queso, licked her fingers and then proceeded to serve my drink without washing her hands, really?????? On the other hand, Savon, another bartender I have been served by is constantly washing his hands and is always putting on and regularly changing his latex gloves. This is the example of a food service employee Stormy should model herself after. I am so disappointed at the food service behavior that Stormy has exemplified. So now, I still go to Torchy’s from time to time, but only when Savon or Mike is bartending."

"I ordered food through door dash. Spent 75 dollars plus. Only received half my order. Called my dasher was told to call the restaurant. The restaurant told me to call/ dispute it through door dash. My options. Come pick it up yourself or reorder through DoorDash. If I wanted to pick half my order up myself I would of never paid the fees and tips to have half my order delivered. If I reorder it I have to pay double. Double the tip and fees. That’s not a great option for a customer. It’s to bad so sad for that person. My question is this. What is your process to make sure all items people pay for are there? I understand we are all human and make mistakes. Unfortunately this is not the first time this has happened with you guys. I just let the other times go by because I understand we miss stuff. However now this is showing me poor detail or care to the consumer. I do not think you guys care about what someone pays for. You just pass the buck to the next person. Disappointed.. last time I will order through your Torchys."

"I drive by this place a lot and decided to try the untraditional tacos. This is a chain restaurant so I was hesitant at first but really wanted something different and I was nor disappointed!! All three sauces have really good flavor and the food taste fresh as well. Reach taco is under 7 dollars. Depending if you get chicken fish beef pork ect I was not disappointed I had my tacos to go. The staff was friendly and kind offered water while I waited and when I had asked if there was sauce they said they already had it on the side in the bag and offered more sauce if I wanted I told them it's ok thank you just making sure! Great place awesome tacos awesome staff. Keep up the good work torchys tacos!!!"

"I like this Torchy's (Hulen location) the best out of the ones I have visited. Nice layout and just a cool feel. Also has a nice little bar area that I could easily see myself hanging at and watching some sports. We have been here several times and we have enjoyed our visits. I think their queso is one of the better ones around TBH. Lot's of food choices and most aren't you typical taco, but so far I haven't been disappointed in any of my selections. We had one little glitch on a recent visit. We had a little issue with our server who was just probably having a bad day. Normally, it's easy to brush it off, but after two visits to the table with a less than welcoming demeanor, we asked and spoke with a manager. Nothing can get changed if management doesn't know there is a problem so.... Anyway, the manager listened to our concerns and assured us that they would have a chat with the server and all was good. We weren't looking to get anything free or get anyone in any real trouble, but we let the manager know that our experience was a departure from the norm there. I am certain that our next visit will be back up to our normal expectations. While some may see this as a negative review, it isn't. Any establishment can have an off moment, many times caused by one person having an off day. It's how the problems are handled are what can make a mediocre client experience, into a client for life. I am a happy Torchy's customer and I am sure I will be back soon!In edit: The owner/manger even followed up on this review (see below). This is the kind of customer engagement that keeps people coming back. Kudos to the folks at Torchy's!"

"The food was pretty good however the burritos are rolled really weird and that you have meat at the beginning and the end but not in the middle. The cheese didn't even get a chance to melt. The tacos were good and made correctly. The juice drinks were refilled and up-to-date. The service was great however people who got there after us were served before us. Not sure what the holdup was on the tacos and a burrito but they were made well other than the comments listed above.We would go here again but I think the location in Flower Mound is much better."

"The frozen sangria swirl is crazy good! Definitely stole the show (and that says a lot because the tacos are next level! . I was impressed with how big this place is! There's outdoor seating as well which is perfect for a cool day like today. I had the trailer park (trashy and brush fire tacos...both were very flavorful and delicious! The tortillas were a challenge to close (which is a good thing lol . The tomatillo salsa is well balanced; not overly salted or spicy. The chips are light and crispy. Service was fantastic and I couldn't walk out without leaving a cash tip for the amazing experience. I will most definitely come back!"

"Needs some work has potential. New restaurant, heard a bit of hype but didn't really hit the mark. Loved the pickled jalapenos that came on the shrimp taco. The democrat had a puddle of grease under from the barbacoa so it was a bit off-putting. My biggest complaint is the wait. Waited in line 15 minutes to order and waited another scant hour to get our food. I was very excited to try the street corn, but it didn't come out with the meal. The woman said she would be right back with it but never returned. Finished our meal, was no longer hungry and tired of waiting so we left a bit disappointed. Maybe we will give it another chance once the crowd dies down and they get their act together."

"We were there as a cross country team from Houston and the manager Kenneth and his team were super kind. Kenneth, assisted me with getting food catered for our team at the restaurant. He made the process super easy. Food was ready when we arrived. Everything was perfect and the amount of food he suggested was just right. Very good portions for the hungry kiddos. His entire team were able to take drink orders. This location is also very clean and well managed. The workers were all smiling. Very pleasant atmosphere, they made us feel extremely welcomed. "We were traveling with our therapy dog. We love Torchy's and looking at recommendations on line, the outdoor area was rated as one of the best in Waco. There was a sign out front that said no dogs were allowed in the outdoor area. What? Really? A Torchy's that does not embrace dogs? They are welcome in other Torchy's locations that we have visited. We left on our travels hungry and disappointed. Beware if traveling with the family dog!"

"The food was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend ordering at least two tacos, as they were a bit smaller than I had anticipated. They were about the same size as a Taco Bell soft taco, but with a bit more filling. The deep-fried cookie dough dessert was also a wonderful surprise. Many of us were skeptical at first, but it turned out to be incredibly tasty! Even though the tacos were slightly smaller than I expected, they were full of flavor. The restaurant's interior was clean and well-lit, with a few TVs on the walls providing entertainment while dining. If I weren’t just visiting the area, I would definitely come back. Who knows, maybe one of these places will open up near us someday. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would definitely recommend it!"

"I ordered to go and when I got home to eat I noticed I came home with correct amount of food BUT but the modifications were ignored completely, I ordered flour tortilla, no pickled onion and I didn't get any limes with my tacos either. The shrimp doesn't test fresh. I am not happy with my order and it turns me off from coming back to this location. I want to add that I go to this location a lot and the past 3 orders have been incorrect and that is why I am sharing my experience. I don't want anything except to please train your staff to read orders properly."

"our family enjoyed our lunch in Torchy’s. my man and I are vegetarian, so we came for the possibilities we had. my hubby ordered the mofaux taco and fried avocado taco. I ordered the airstream salad. we were both satisfied with our eating. our son ordered steak burrito. his only complaining was the steak was a bit hard and not crushed in bite size. we also have the green chili quest and chips. pay attention to the chips as they are coated in salt, the salt had to rub off my chips to make them edible. manager was very nice! he took a few moments to talk to us about dinge who do in the opposite."

"Fantastic food, great and consistent quality, and all for a great price! I've been here many times and always had a great time! The people that work there are really nice and helpful, as well as very fast with making and giving the food. I also really like the queso and guacamole. I would recommend getting 2 tacos per person if you are real hungry, or 1 taco a side (like queso/guac . The tacos are pretty big and full of the ingredients, so you won't be disappointed! "We decided to try this restaurant because it was conveniently located near our business. Although the menu sounded great, the food did not live up to our expectations. All of the staff members were busy chatting and not paying attention to us, causing a delay in getting service even though we were the only ones waiting. We arrived at 1:30 p.m. after the lunch rush, but the food was not hot and lacked flavor unless you added sauces. The staff did not make an effort to ensure the food was warm before serving it to us. We were also disappointed that they were frequently out of the drinks we requested, so we settled for water. The prices were high considering the low quality and taste of the food. Overall, we were not satisfied with our experience at this restaurant and would not recommend it for anyone looking for a good Mexican meal."

"I placed a to go order online over an hour ago. My husband went to pick it up and stood there for over half an hour. The bag with our order was sitting right there on the back counter and he was asked his name 3 different times by three different people. Nobody checked to see if it was ready or went to grab it. He finally gave up and walked out. It’s paid for, but now that it’s been sitting in a bag for over an hour with flies buzzing around it and he was given zero help for over 30 minutes, we don’t even really want the order anymore. I tried to call to just get a refund, but they don’t have a way to contact the restaurant and the home office you get forwarded to is closed on the weekends. $54 later with zero tacos, we won’t be ordering again. We LOVED Torchy’s back where we used to live and ate there probably once a week if not more, but we were really disappointed after the experience with them today. They really do have the best tacos, but this location has the worst service.Edited to add- the online contact form isn’t phone friendly and the app just tells you to call the location- which you can’t. I drove back to get a refund and was able to get help with that right away. They were apologetic and nice. I may give it another shot, but definitely not during the lunch rush."
