"A large party arrived and received their drinks before we did. We waited an additional 25 minutes for our drinks to arrive. When our waitress finally returned, she mentioned she would take our order because the larger group next to us was quite chatty. After placing our order, we received our salads and bread after another 20 minutes. Amazingly, we waited an additional 45 minutes for our main courses. We noticed other tables that had been seated after us receiving their food while we waited.
I had to keep asking our waitress about our meals. She told me she had seen them but hadn’t had a chance to retrieve them. Frustrated, I got up and approached the counter to inquire about our food. The staff informed me that it was coming, and they offered to discount our bill. After enduring an hour and 45 minutes, we finally got our meals. Once we finished eating, we asked for the check, and after waiting another 15 minutes, we had to go back up to ask for it again.
We understand that restaurants can be short-staffed, but if our waitress couldn’t manage three tables effectively, they need to hire more help. It felt like if you weren't a regular customer, you didn't get timely service. I have no plans to return. As we were leaving, the waitress said, "We’ll see you next time," but I have no intention of ever coming back."
