"I had the pleasure of having a phone interview with the general manager, Tom, who made a significant impression on me. I performed well during the interview, which took place just before Christmas on December 25, 2023. I've been a loyal fan of Olive Garden for the past 12 years, visiting numerous locations, even when I lived in Eugene, Oregon. The reason I moved to Cape Coral with my adopted family was to be closer to their Italian relatives. I cherish the time spent here, although leaving Oregon in December 2019—after a long 3,000-mile drive to Florida—was bittersweet. Despite some challenging experiences along the way, I feel grateful to have settled in Florida. A little about me: I was adopted in 1994 from a European orphanage, thanks to the generous donations of professional athletes who helped fund my journey to the United States. I'm now in my 30s, and I turn 36 on April 11, 2024. I want to commend the entire team, especially Tom, for their dedication to providing excellent service and for treating everyone with dignity and respect, regardless of their background or circumstances. My last name is Italian, and I truly appreciate the warmth and sense of community here in Cape Coral. Wishing you all a Merry Christmas today, December 25, 2023. Thank you for your hard work and for making Olive Garden a special place for everyone, including veterans, seniors, and patrons of all ages. I look forward to a second phone interview for a host greeter position sometime in January 2024, and I'm excited about the opportunity! Your delicious pasta, ice cream, and overall service bring joy to our lives. Stay wonderful, and know that you are valued! Love to all the employees at Olive Garden. Life is good!"

"Well... This is an Olive Garden restaurant. Strives to offer the quintessential Italian dining experience in a condensed, Americanized, palatable package. The chain owner would want you to believe that they are offering you a taste of authentic European dining with a gentle, fragrant breeze rustling the leaves of the ubiquitous grapevine leaves that surround you while you enjoy a nice glass of wine that compliments the dish that you have chosen to enjoy with your friends and family. In reality of course your wait staff, while nice and well-meaning, does not necessarily know how to properly serve a table. He or she has no idea regarding the aggressively protective slow-food culture that permeates so much of Europe and, in particular, Italy. Case in point our waitress came to the table, warned us that she would be back in 6 minutes and that she would take our drink, appetizer, and main course or entree orders all at once upon her return. True to her word she was back in 6 minutes and took our drink, appetizer, and main course orders. Appetizers showed up before drinks, we started eating our appetizers and within five minutes, Voila!, entrees arrived. Rush, rush, rush... check. Thanks. Have a nice life...NEXT CUSTOMERS PLEASE!! Food was fresh and good, wait staff was nice, drinks were decent, but this is a watered down Americanized version of what they are trying to convince you that you are paying to experience. Three stars. Didn 't even see Sonic the Hedgehog eating there with his family . Bummer."
