"As a younger man I used to go here with my kids when there were not as many Thai places in the area. As Yoong Tong it had good solid food. I love Thai food and try and have it every time I travel to Silicon Valley for work as it is generally outstanding out there (as is much Asian food). I was excited to try this new version of this place, now apparently owned by the kids of the original owners and sporting a fancy new French inspired name. In a word, it was just okay... and pricey. The entrees we had were fine and properly prepared and fairly good portions but at $25 each plate it was expensive. The Tom Kha (I had the one with tofu) was very disappointing and very plain and bland. I judge every Thai place by its Tom Kha Gai, the single best flavor of soup I have had in my life. I love TKG. I adore it. I will have it at EVERY Thai meal I go to if it's on the menu (and it usually is). I will even give this place a second shot and order it again here as perhaps they screwed my bowl up. The soup tasted as if all they did was open a can of coconut milk and heat it up with a few mushrooms and with some tofu. There did not appear to be a single spice or herb or flavor of any kind in the soup. My advice to the new owners is to go back to Mom's recipe. She had a nice TKG."

"Our dinner at JO TO's was absolutely delightful. There were three of us, and we chose to sit at a table instead of the bar. We were seated near the well, which created a soothing atmosphere, especially after our meeting with the accountant about our 2018 tax return. We ordered some wine, and our server informed us about the happy hour special, so we opted for the house wine (two for one) along with some appetizers. The pot stickers and egg rolls were incredibly tasty. After that, we ordered sushi, more pot stickers, and vegetable tempura. Everyone enjoyed soup and salad, and the dishes were served promptly and piping hot. Both the service and the food were outstanding. We can’t wait to come back!"

"This was my first time eating here. Wait staff was nice competent. A small gripe, but our waiter never came by to refill our waters. The food was good but the portions were a little confusing. We ordered some lettuce wraps to start, we were brought a large dish with about a half tablespoon of different fillings small diced limes, red onion, ginger, small cuttings of pepper. Also a sizeable amount of coconut flakes peanuts. The plate looked very empty with the small amount of fillings provided. When it came to our entree, my partner I both ordered the yellow curry with tofu. It tasted delicious, but again we were confused by the portions. The ratio of tofu, potato, carrots in the dish was way out of balance. I'm not exaggerating, in each of our dishes the was only one very large slice of potato one very large slice of carrot, accompanied by a lot of tofu. All together we thought it was a nice dinner still enjoyed ourselves. I probably sound very picky, it was just an odd experience I would still try them again. If you do go I'd say just don't order the Meyong Kum wraps. Also We did ask the kitchen I can confirm their curries are vegan."

"My friend and I spent a night in Warner Robins, GA, while traveling from Florida to Nashville. We used the Happy Cow app to find a nearby restaurant and discovered Sushi Thai. Considering the COVID restrictions, we decided to place a phone order for pickup. I was pleasantly surprised by how quick the service was, especially given that it was 7 PM on a Friday night during the Christmas shopping season—I expected a long wait, but it was just a brief phone call. Our order was prepared promptly, and the food was absolutely delicious! My friend is an omnivore, and I follow a vegan diet, so a mixed restaurant like this is perfect for us. I must say, Sushi Thai exceeded our expectations with its vegan-friendly options and the wonderful taste, texture, and temperature of the dishes. It was a fantastic way to end a long day! This update is based on a previous review from December 5, 2020."

"I recently relocated to Union City from Los Angeles and have been on the hunt for a great Thai restaurant. My wife and I decided to try this place since we both enjoy Thai cuisine. The food here is delicious, and the customer service is very welcoming. We particularly enjoyed the BBQ chicken and fried rice—it’s a great combination since the chicken is one of their signature dishes. The pad see ew was tasty but could benefit from a bit more sauce. As for the crab cakes, they were decent, though I would have preferred if they included more crab and were made in smaller, fried pieces instead of just two large ones. The dipping sauce was also quite good!"

"I've only ever got an article: the pineapples veggie Cashew roasted rice. And it's the best food I eat and when I go home for the summer, I miss it. The staff knows what Vegan means when you ask if a product can be produced in this way. Good price, just hitting all the other food like it in the city, so I would pay everything. Coconut Lucky Cookies are amazing. Edit: I tried the padthai without egg and with roasted tofu. The vegetable rolls and Veg gyoza on the appetizer menu are vegan and ingenious. Delicious! It's amazing. Not even better food found in the area. Make sure to ask for the sauce range, it is spicy but delicious!"

"Been ordering food from here for years! My favorite Thai bbq location. However, due to poor customer service, I will no longer be a customer to this one. I place large orders! This one was about $250 through grubhub. The restaurant calls me and says they don 't have enough S1 (chicken) to fulfill the order. I ordered about 5 of this item. I spoke with Sam. I said no problem, can you just replace the 3 S1 orders with the chicken Sate plate? She said I would have to cancel the order and do it all over again. I think this was pretty insensitive, especially since the refund takes at least 24 hours to be refunded. I didn 't want to have over $500 charged to my card that day. I asked if they can just provide the change for these three dishes that you can 't fulfill. Let 's keep it simple and not make me go through placing another large order that takes time to fill out. She said no, because she needs to make more profit since the Sate dishes are priced higher. It 's literally a $2 difference between the two, so we 're looking at a $6 total difference. Again, on a $250+ order. The tone was not impolite, however, I feel that the tone of the convo was and just overall unprofessional. A $6 profit was more important than your $250 order??? Maybe something like hello, I am sorry but we are running low on this item. If it 's ok with you, I can replace three dishes with this one. It is priced higher but would like to offer it to you at the same cost this time to fulfill your order and help you enjoy your dinner in a timely manner .OR... we only have 2 of this item. We can refund the other three if we cannot find you a replacement. Anyway, just some time of customer service approach RATHER THAN I need to make more profit! That 's the part that didn 't sit well with me and just really pissed me off. Otherwise, food here is great! But this ain 't the only Thai bbq in LA."

"Innovative Thai dishes that are well prepared and served by helpful staff. Good for dine-in or take out, although there can be a wait for takeout. If you're not familiar with Thai food, they have a picture menu available that let's you see what dishes looklike. If you're still unsure, try the 9 pad Thai, the house signature dish. You won't be disappointed. If you're moreadventurous, try the fried watercress salad. It is like nothing you're every had before. It is delicious both without and withthe dressing. "I have been coming to Thee for years since moving to the neighborhood, and it is my go-to for these dishes and if you order them, you cannot go wrong.1. Beef Cube Tomato Sauce Rice2. Salt and Pepper Tofu3. Satay Sauce BeefI have ordered #1 and #2 as my classic dishes for over 4 years. It is the best combination ever, imho. I love Thee purely for these dishes that I will order when I'm in a pinch or craving some comfort Chinese food. These dishes are 100% magic because you can pair the beef cube rice with the tofu, or each of the dishes separately with white white rice. And this might seem like a given but yes, I eat the beef cube rice with a side of white rice too, since the dish is so flavorful. This combo serves as two main dishes for me, as opposed to the beef cube rice being a base for the tofu.I have tried other things and a recent one in rotation is the Satay Sauce Beef. I grew up being very familiar with the satay flavors, so the aromatics make my mouth water every time. Another favorite recent addition is the hot and sour soup (small) and depending on mood, I will also throw in an Orange Chicken, Mongolian Beef, or a Buddhist Delight with soft tofu garlic sauce (as a sub for brown sauce).I love so many of the dishes here, and if you order over a certain amount (it might be around $30 but I'm not sure if this is up to date) you can choose a free add-on of crab rangoon or vegetable fried egg roll.I'd give ten stars to my favorite 3 staples, and a 5/5 to Thee overall. It's my favorite local Chinese take-out spot (I've never dined in) and I always call in my order with the restaurant directly, so all of the profits goes directly to the staff instead of a third-party delivery service. They even have parking because they're located in a strip mall right along North Ave. They're closed on Tuesdays, and otherwise open at 2pm but I would check their hours in advance just in case anything ever changes.TL;DRYou can't go wrong with your Chinese comfort food here. Order the Beef Cube Tomato Rice, Salt Pepper Tofu, and Satay Beef Over Rice for your take-out order."

"Really cozy ramen spot. My friend and I met up for dinner on a Wednesday night. We had to order at the front first before seating ourselves, and there was one lady who was working the front and going back and forth to the kitchen. We ordered the gochujang wings to share, and we each got the tonkatsu ramen. The wings were surprisingly good. They had a crisp outer layer while the meat itself was still juicy and tender. The sauce wasn't too spicy but instead had a nice kick with a bit of sweetness. As for the ramen, it was good. I would get it again, but it wasn't anything special. The food came out relatively fast, and the ambiance was nice with the dimly lit lights."

"(3.5 stars) The sushi here is truly exceptional, some of the freshest I’ve ever had in South Florida. While it is quite pricey—about double what you would typically pay at a neighborhood spot—the quality is unmatched and definitely worth the splurge. However, the Thai dishes and appetizers were a letdown. They were average at best, not even comparable to the local Thai places. It was quite disappointing; the gyoza tasted stale, and while there were plenty of rock shrimp, the sauce was completely lacking in flavor. The hamachi jalapeno appetizer featured great fish, but that was about it. The massaman curry was just plain boring. On a positive note, the decor is sleek and the music is cool yet unobtrusive, providing a nice break from those trendy places blasting EDM!"

"Instead of discussing it with us, she took the handheld card reader to the main register and added a $12 tip to our bill without asking or informing us, simply expecting us to sign for it. When my boyfriend noticed the bill was significantly higher and questioned why it was $7 more, she said it was because we spent so much on food and that we needed to leave a 15% tip. I’m sorry, but that’s not something I can agree to. If that’s your policy, it should be clearly posted. When we tried to explain that we could give a custom tip instead of the mandatory 15%, she accused us of being "poor and mean" and said we were never welcome back. After being treated that way, I certainly don’t plan on returning. I've never felt so disrespected in my life. I’ll just say this: don’t expect to leave without giving a 15% tip here."

"If you're a sushi lover, this is the ideal spot for you. The rolls strike a perfect balance between rice and fresh fish.
