"I have been coming to Thee for years since moving to the neighborhood, and it is my go-to for these dishes and if you order them, you cannot go wrong.1. Beef Cube Tomato Sauce Rice2. Salt and Pepper Tofu3. Satay Sauce BeefI have ordered #1 and #2 as my classic dishes for over 4 years. It is the best combination ever, imho. I love Thee purely for these dishes that I will order when I'm in a pinch or craving some comfort Chinese food. These dishes are 100% magic because you can pair the beef cube rice with the tofu, or each of the dishes separately with white white rice. And this might seem like a given but yes, I eat the beef cube rice with a side of white rice too, since the dish is so flavorful. This combo serves as two main dishes for me, as opposed to the beef cube rice being a base for the tofu.I have tried other things and a recent one in rotation is the Satay Sauce Beef. I grew up being very familiar with the satay flavors, so the aromatics make my mouth water every time. Another favorite recent addition is the hot and sour soup (small) and depending on mood, I will also throw in an Orange Chicken, Mongolian Beef, or a Buddhist Delight with soft tofu garlic sauce (as a sub for brown sauce).I love so many of the dishes here, and if you order over a certain amount (it might be around $30 but I'm not sure if this is up to date) you can choose a free add-on of crab rangoon or vegetable fried egg roll.I'd give ten stars to my favorite 3 staples, and a 5/5 to Thee overall. It's my favorite local Chinese take-out spot (I've never dined in) and I always call in my order with the restaurant directly, so all of the profits goes directly to the staff instead of a third-party delivery service. They even have parking because they're located in a strip mall right along North Ave. They're closed on Tuesdays, and otherwise open at 2pm but I would check their hours in advance just in case anything ever changes.TL;DRYou can't go wrong with your Chinese comfort food here. Order the Beef Cube Tomato Rice, Salt Pepper Tofu, and Satay Beef Over Rice for your take-out order."

Just ok if you’re craving Chinese food. Orange chicken had a very thick, fried batter so it wasn’t my favorite.

Love their Mango Chicken Fried Rice, it's very unique and delicious. Their Coconut smoothies are really good and refreshing.

My wife and I experienced food poisoning after eating the sweet and sour chicken, and we will not be returning to this restaurant. View menu

It used to be a decent spot for affordable Chinese food, with meals costing $12. Now, the price for an entree has increased to $16. There's no way that a meal from TAR justifies a price of $20 after tax.

I placed an order through Uber Eats. I appreciated the complimentary egg rolls, but overall, the experience was quite mediocre. I wouldn't recommend the Pad Thai, though the Pad See Ew was decent. I likely won't be ordering from here again.

Despite their location, prices are just like any pan-Asian restaurant in the city. I like their basil chicken, very flavorful and filling. Standard portion size. Their smoothies are also a nice treat. Made with fresh fruit and cost less than other places in the area. Never had an issue with staff either. Always friendly, quick, and given me the correct order. First time ordering from this restaurant.. I never give bad reviews but this place is just beyond me. I ordered 2 vietnemese beef soups and you'd think there would be beef but it was a soup with huge pieces of fat! The most disgusting soup i have ever tasted i had a few spoons thinking i could at least have the broth since there was just fat but the broth was just oil and water. We could not eat our food. The crab rangoons had huge chunks of onion as if they didnt even bother chopping them up, the miso soup smelled and tasted like spoiled sea food soup, the eggs rolls were so oily we took at bite and the oil just dripped out of them Sad because we were looking forward to having a good dinner...

Find somewhere—anywhere—else. Get Panda Express. Heck, get McDonalds.Where do I start on this disaster? I think the good needs a mention: the order was correct and warm on delivery. But hold on to your mein vein, that 's the end of the positives. We got Mongolian beef, beef broccoli, potstickers, and chicken fried rice (with pineapple, so judge as you will). Potstickers: how do you make a flavorless dumpling? And why do they think a sweet and sweet and sweet and sour sauce is the right thing for that? Mongolian beef: I didn 't think we ordered fish. Fried rice: we ordered food after a long day so we didn 't have to cook; see pictures. They think jalapenos mix well in Chinese cuisine. Neither...

"Tempesta is arguably one of the best sandwich shops in the city. They make a lot of their meats in house and use high quality ingredients so you know you’re getting the good stuff. Not only can you get a great sandwich, you can purchase most of their meats to go as well as other small artisanal grocery items. I have tried almost every sandwich they have on the menu but my top two choices would be the #1 The Dante and the #2 Yo! Vincenzo! The Dante is their version of a classic Italian sandwich but a bit on the spicier side. The Yo Vincenzo is a chicken parm and I personally think it’s the best chicken parm sandwich in the city. The chicken is perfectly crispy, and they use just the right amount of sauce where it doesn’t get soggy. Both of these sandwiches come on their fresh baguette which helps set them apart from other sandwich spots in Chicago just because of how good it is. The B Franklin is also a great option, and if you’re starving get the Wagyu Pastrami but be warned it is a very heavy sandwich because of that Wagyu. The last pro tip I’ll add in here is order your sandwich ahead of time if you’re doing takeout. This is a very popular spot and is always busy during the lunch rush so if you wait to order until you arrive you may need to wait for 10-15 minutes. That should speak to how good this place is because it’s in such high demand, so if you’re in Chicago make sure you stop in!"
