"Our meals last week were disappointing. Caesar salad was dry romaine lettuce and croutons in a bowl, served with bottled dressing in little containers on the side. I expected a nice mixed Caesar at this Italian Restaurant. Pizza was fair, nothing to write home about. We probably will not return."

Keeping it simple, no trying to fork down an elaborate salad or party tray in the car. It's drive and dine, baby.First time at this highly rated and highly reviewed deli in San Francisco. Be aware that parking can be a challenge! The corner lot is colorful and clean and things inside looked well organized and well stocked. Lots of service pans of ready to eat cold items. I ordered a ham and cheese on a sandwich roll. (Torpedo)Again, the ingredients are pretty basic in this one. Thin slices of deli ham and orange American cheese slices, fresh onions, pickles, lettuce and tomatoes. The produce was seriously remarkably fresh! The pickles were a nice balancing act between the produce and the meat and cheese. The torpedo roll was very fresh and fluffy with a nice outer crust. The workers putting things together were super nice. Very efficient, and welcoming too. It's easy to see why the place is so highly rated! And another thing- the price was super great! Come try it for yourself! I'll go back to try a salad!"

"Tod and Michael have created an OASIS of beauty, peace, and culinary delights! We celebrated our sons graduation from SCAD with a family Dinner at Wright Square Bistro, and it was a night to remember! I highly recommend the Brie En Croute, which was warm and fragrant. Served with fresh and ripe grilled fruits, it struck just the right balance of savory and sweet to cause a celebration of my taste buds! My sons enjoyed the Classic Caesar Salad tremendously, the rustic presentation of a crispy whole heart of romaine dressed with authentic Caesar dressing and crispy croutons was innovative and intriguing! My husband enjoyed his very generous portion of Pork Tenderloin thoroughly. The Bistro boasts eclectic collections of art, recipe books, and many Corgi themed items that create a welcoming ambiance. We were regaled with stories of Tod and Michael's champion, Pembrokeshire Welsh Corgis, after whom many of the Lunch Menu items are named. "We came to this restaurant, after calling in to see if our 30 person party can come, upon arriving the woman that runs the restaurant told us that they have the whole back room available but need to charge us a $150 sitting fee. This was never mentioned when we called. We were in town for Cooperstown ASV so you can imagine we had a bunch of families that made the trek to get there. We opted out of eating here so I can’t honestly speak to the quality of the food but I can say that they definitely weren’t interested in our business. Sal’s up the street was not only delicious but the service was incredible!"

"This gem has what I would call a polished vintage vibe . A comfy local feel but tastefully snazzy at the same time. The food is divine. Familiar items but layers of satisfying flavor within. The kitchen is putting care and detail in their work. Happy hour appeared to have been very busy for them, so I was glad we ate a bit later. We sat comfortably at the bar and were greeted warmly by multiple staff members. We started with some French onion soup, and it was very rich and a little bit sweet. My friend ordered a smoked barrel aged Old Fashioned... with the indulgent addition of a cloud of smoke under its glass lid. Very smooth sweet with a terrific combo of aromas. We moved on to the Caprese Burger with crispy wedge fries. Again, deep flavor! Then the Alabama Slamma chicken sandwich, which was perfect with a hint of citrus in its sauce. I think any and all sauces/condiments throughout the menu really help items stand out. One of the servers has been brewing his own hot sauces for this place and he brought them out for us to play with. All 3 were unique and multi layered. It was a great hang, and we 'll be back!"

"To make matters worse, the temperature inside was freezing. We had air blowing on us the whole time, and I felt chilly, as did my friend, who was wearing a hoodie! We both ordered Taco salads, and I can only imagine how quickly they would have turned cold in that arctic breeze. In fact, the meat on my salad was already cold by the time it arrived. While I understand that some Taco salads are meant to be served cold, it's not to my liking. On a positive note, our waitress was very busy but incredibly sweet. You could tell she was just overwhelmed with customers and wasn't neglectful in any way; she was clearly doing her best. I only noticed how long it took to get our check because I was so eager to leave and warm up outside. Overall, I think it will be a couple more years before I give this place another try."

"Additionally, the arugula could really benefit from some acidity. It wasn't chopped finely, and the bitterness was quite overwhelming. A splash of lemon juice and a drizzle of olive oil would make a significant difference. Lastly, the avocados were served warm and brown, which wasn't very appetizing. "The atmosphere also feels like a hangout for the employees and their friends. You can see behind the bar where staff members gather instead of attending to customers, and I swear I saw the so-called manager drinking alcohol, which I find completely unacceptable. I strongly advise against visiting this establishment. I will never return, and I’m telling everyone I know to avoid it as well. Even spending five dollars here feels like a waste. "I'm not one for expensive dinner, but this place has changed my mind. From the outside, the whole ambience reminded me of a small fairy garden. The interior is in the most beautiful wood cladding I have ever seen, and the floors, my God covered the floors. If you appreciate quality decor, you will love the interior of this place. The bartender was extremely knowledgeable and definitely knew how to make a drink. Dinner was amazing. I had the special that was scallops. Very easy to screw, but the cook made them perfect every last of them. The parts were from this world. The bowl where my fiancée was served could have covered his head. I had days left. Yes, it is on the expensive side and yes I would recommend to dress up, but my God is worth it."

"Cheese is the primary focus for this lively, reasonably priced local restaurant, so best avoided if you are on a diet! We had pasta, short ribs, some sides and cheese and it was all really good. Service was quick and friendly. The beer and wine selection is good with several wines available by the glass."
