"We were greeted by an energetic young man who seemed absolutely enamored with the restaurant; he offered us drinks and his attitude was completely contagious. Our female server was equally as engaging even as we watched the restaurant go from semi empty to slammed in a a short amount of time. The food was excellent although portion size is small, especially on the sushi. We were heading to the show and everyone was cognizant of time to ensure we were able to enjoy our meals and not feel rushed. Superb as always."

"Amazing salsa !! Great service and a fun environment !!! But they need better chefs with more than one cooking style who know how NOT to overcook all the meat they offer. ALL dishes taste very similar! All with burnt burn marks on "whatever" meat, mixed with similar spices and all well done to finish cooking. The burned cremation, like a fajitas, but for every dish? This is the second time that I had to come here with the same results ... I refuse the next time I am invited ... Maybe have a drink because the mood is good and fun ... she just need better cooks ..."

"Food: we got tonkatsu ramen and some rolls— both great! The ramen broth was kind of creamy (in a bone brothy way but very light. My favorite roll was the spicy salmon— it was so flavorful!! Service: this may be because we had an early dinner, but the staff was exceptionally attentive, friendly, and sweet— I think that’s what really took our experience to the next level!! Atmosphere: we sat outside with our dog (we called first and they were welcoming of her!! and loved the individual booth style. I feel like it’s very rare that you have privacy when dining outdoors these days, and it was just the cherry on top. There’s about as much outdoor seating as there is indoors I saw a private room/event space in the back of the restaurant! It’s such a convenient location near the waterfront. We will definitely be back :"

"I wouldn't recommend this restaurant at all. They call it Nepalese, but it's just a fancy name for Indian food that I love. There are many excellent Indian restaurants here, but this is not one of them. Firstly, there were no other customers when we got there. Two parties came in after us and we are looked after before us. We expressly told the waitress everything mild. When we ordered a birayani she forgot to tell us until we complained that it is always spicy. We started with an inedible lentil soup. It was cold and salty. We asked for hot tea and she said they had gone out that afternoon. Our chicken tikka was all sauce and very little chicken. We sent it back and told them to add more chicken. The shrimp dish was the same - all sauce and hardly any shrimp. The sauces over the rice were pleasant, but overpriced for how little you got. We enjoyed the starter of Mo MO and the Chana Masala. I love Mango Lassi, but they just poured it out of a 1 gallon container. It was probably pre-made in the supermarket. Don't go here when we have such a large and diverse Indian community with excellent restaurants across the region."

"I ordered from here spec because I loved "Iron Chef" as a child. I got Cha Soba, Hoku Hoku potatoes, a spicy vegetable tempura roll and the ume/Shiso/cucumber roll. Overall, Id recommend against the Cha Soba (it was pretty underwhelming, and quite expensive for what it was. Wasnt bad, just got wasnt worth it. The ume/shiso/cucumber roll was nice and refreshing pretty appropriate as a fair weather food. The spicy vegetable tempura roll was quite good too, though it just was not even remote approaching spicy. The Hoku Hoku potatoes were very good, in my opinion, but might be a bit overpriced still. Im glad that I got food from here, but dont expect a real Iron Chef experience."

"Amazing. Parking is bad. The delicious food makes up for it. They're actually Japanese and the quality and taste of fish is impeccable. They strategically brought out the food in the best and most traditional sequence for our tastebuds with the cooked seared steak with foie gras last of course. I wish they had omakase but it was really busy that night. One day we'll try it though. While I was waiting for the rest of my party to come, the chef noticed I was waiting so he made me a handroll while we wait for our appetizers (some promo on Yelp)."

"I accidentally found this restaurant while walking nearby. I liked the fact that there is no noise from visitors and the kitchen inside, you can relax in silence or talk to your companion without raising your voice. The prices are reasonable and affordable, and the quality and freshness of the food is high. Aesthetic presentation and a wide selection. I especially recommend the Philadelphia roll and miso soup."

"I?ll start with the good:Easy reservations, waitress was attentive, drinks were good and accommodated dietary needs. The bad: reservations were for 6pm by 6:40 we were done. The hibachi chef seemed like he didn?t want to be there. No show just basically cooked food and left. Didn?t engage with us at all. Food was flavorless and the fried rice was cold and barely fried. They don?t do the shrimp with the meal anymore. Honestly spent a ton of money to be rushed out the door."

"The salmon was delightful, and it came with plenty of shiitake mushrooms. However, the shrimp tempura was a letdown; it consisted of large shrimp coated in a thick batter. On a positive note, our server was excellent. Unfortunately, the hostess was unwilling to seat us in a booth, even though the restaurant was empty and we had requested one over a week in advance. Instead, she assigned us the least desirable table by the door. I stood my ground and was eventually given a booth, but I noticed there were empty booths available by the time we finished our meal. Experiences like that leave a negative impression."

"We chose the Chefs experience with a flight of different foods. Everything was delicious and expertly prepared. My 6 yr old could not stop eating the spicy shrimp tacos so we had to order more. The seabass was probably the best fish I ever had. Lamb chops 5 stars. The toro was great quality but as usual not enough... Strongly recommend trying the Robata, looks like lots of yummy stuff. Will try tonight."

"We enjoyed the guacamole and salsa. The medium guacamole and it was pretty spicy. Each person ordered a different type of enchiladas and tacos and then we exchanged ideas so everyone could try different types. We got separated quickly, which would be good for people who get engaged in the evening. Our only complaint was that it was loud quickly which made it difficult to hear yourself at our table."

"I did a reservation in Open Table 2:45. When I got there after driving 45 min with my family they said that it can’t be possible since they close at 3pm. The manager came in just to say apologize for the inconvenience, she didn’t offer a discount and anything for next time as a way of attention. I told her that I would give a one star review and she couldn’t care less. No coming back here ever. The sushi is not great anyway is just was the closer option from home"

"This was my first omakase experience and man did we do a good job picking a place! I found this place through the DineLA restaurants but wasn't able to attend last month due to covid and was able to reschedule our reservation for November. Every month they release a new menu and i believe it's 3 different types with different price points. We had picked the Hazuki but i think our waitress misheard us and we ended up doing the Uzuki one. We didn't realize it till we got to our last portion but no harm, as were able to try out the Miso Crab Salmon Caviar and the A5 Wagyu Beef. If i had to pick my favorite thing from the whole meal, it has to be the Miso Crab Salmon. It was sooooooo good, my husband ended up asking for one for himself after he saw me eating mine. The miso sauce was just so good and tangy and the crab filling with the salmon was just spot on. All of the sushi's were great and honestly only like 2 really needed like a little more sauce. I'm honestly not super good with the names, but the one with miso and the scallop sushi were definitely my favorite ones! The toro ikura caviar was so refreshing and flavorful. The A5 Wagyu was a little too chard for me on the outside but man it was like super buttery and juicy when you bit into it. Definitely super good! The Chawanmushi was so creamy and smooth, I'm not a huge steamed egg fan but it definitely had me looking it up online today trying to see if i could recreate it. For the desert i will say the matcha cheesecake was not it for me, it was missing something to it. I found that mixing it with the Coconut mango pudding made it taste better. But I'd opt for just the coconut pudding next time and that says a lot considering i don't like coconut hahah. The whole experience was very nice and the staff was very attentive and the wait was honestly perfect. I left feeling satisfied and not stuff. It was a great experience and would happily return to try the Hazuki Omakase. Definitely a 5/5. Solid ambiance, food and service!"
