"This was my first omakase experience and man did we do a good job picking a place! I found this place through the DineLA restaurants but wasn't able to attend last month due to covid and was able to reschedule our reservation for November. Every month they release a new menu and i believe it's 3 different types with different price points. We had picked the Hazuki but i think our waitress misheard us and we ended up doing the Uzuki one. We didn't realize it till we got to our last portion but no harm, as were able to try out the Miso Crab Salmon Caviar and the A5 Wagyu Beef. If i had to pick my favorite thing from the whole meal, it has to be the Miso Crab Salmon. It was sooooooo good, my husband ended up asking for one for himself after he saw me eating mine. The miso sauce was just so good and tangy and the crab filling with the salmon was just spot on. All of the sushi's were great and honestly only like 2 really needed like a little more sauce. I'm honestly not super good with the names, but the one with miso and the scallop sushi were definitely my favorite ones! The toro ikura caviar was so refreshing and flavorful. The A5 Wagyu was a little too chard for me on the outside but man it was like super buttery and juicy when you bit into it. Definitely super good! The Chawanmushi was so creamy and smooth, I'm not a huge steamed egg fan but it definitely had me looking it up online today trying to see if i could recreate it. For the desert i will say the matcha cheesecake was not it for me, it was missing something to it. I found that mixing it with the Coconut mango pudding made it taste better. But I'd opt for just the coconut pudding next time and that says a lot considering i don't like coconut hahah. The whole experience was very nice and the staff was very attentive and the wait was honestly perfect. I left feeling satisfied and not stuff. It was a great experience and would happily return to try the Hazuki Omakase. Definitely a 5/5. Solid ambiance, food and service!"

I tried the omakase, and it was just average—about half of the meal consisted of fish. The chef seemed uninspired, which was apparent in the dishes. Overall, I was disappointed.

When we arrived at 8 pm, our seat had been occupied. We have to wait outside for more than 20 minutes. The food is okay but not great. Overall, it's my worst omakase experience in my life.

I was still hungry when i left, food was in very small portions. The service was good, i guess it's all about the experience and the show rather than the portions and taste of the food. Not worth the amount of money they charge.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience. We really appreciated the quality and variety of the sashimi offered. However, the sashimi in the bento box was a bit salty, and we would have liked to see a few more options for side dishes. View menu

Was SHOCKED by the amazing service and food!!! Would 100% come back here. The service to begin with was more than expected, everyone was so welcoming and helpful. They made the experience worth it. The food... blew me away ? I was so happy by the end of the dinner and the omakase was delicious.

Delicious and fresh, I'll definitely be back! Stopped in on a week night and it wasn't too busy. They were quick to accommodate me and my friend and answer tons of questions about the menu. We had plenty of hand rolls, all delicious, but the thing to do here is Omakaze ! I'll have to come back to experience that. Overall wonderful experience eating here and I'll definitely be back for a date. Seems like small groups is the way to go!

The service was uncomfortable; the staff hovered over us for every bite, creating too much interaction without reading the natural flow of our meal. This broke the sense of intimacy and lacked genuine hospitality. The dishes were served in rapid succession, leaving us with little time to savor each one before the next was placed in front of us, often before the previous plate had been cleared. The meal felt rushed, even though we were the only ones dining, apart from a couple that arrived halfway through. The atmosphere was typical of a traditional sushi restaurant, but it didn't offer anything memorable. Overall, I wouldn't return. View menu

Omakase by Osen is an elegant restaurant perfect for an exceptional evening of inventive and top-quality sushi. We opted for the sushi bar-side Omakase dinner, although they also offer table-side Omakase. Despite booking last minute, the staff were remarkably professional yet friendly, displaying deep knowledge and attentiveness. From the moment we walked in, they made us feel incredibly important, promptly seating us even though we arrived 20 minutes early. Our dinner included a delightful progression of 16 courses. While they do offer sake pairings, we chose to order our own sake and beer, creating our own sake bombs. The restaurant is not excessively large, but it strikes a comfortable bal...

We came here with a party of four for their omakase dinner w sake pairing a few weeks ago and had a pretty nice experience. The dinner was for my birthday with my GF and a couple friends, they even gave me a bday rose. On a Sunday evening it was moderately busy, but i think they could have taken a walk in or two. The omakase experience was good, our server was pretty knowledgeable not only about the menu items but also about the sake pairings. I kept thinking to myself this is a lot of information for her to remember when she explained each item and sake in detail. As i'm sure their menu changes frequently i'll mention the items that were unique or stood out. Avocado cream in crispy seaweed...

"I never leave bad reviews when I can help, but from our experience last night I only had to say for dinner as a whole was so disappointing, the least and after the output it was just a complete bill. if they come here for a nice dinner, they have great food or steaks please skip. go somewhere else food: we ordered the oysters, lobster bisque, bread basket (the btw is) and the tomahawk steak with sides. the entire meal was nothing special, characterized by the fact that even though our server always say that its just come out of the often his hot we have the broth basket roomtemp and the lobster bisque as a think. none of them were served hot. I give these stars only because of the tomahawk steak in the middle well, it was delicious. it was a hope that it would be good, right? we ordered the familiar and the brussels sprouts, but it came out, served on small dust sacks. small portions. a little taste. Note: they no longer serve the special measurable and sauce for any steak order. bummer ambiance service: la boucherie is on the floor of the hotel so that the prospects in the night are amazing. server were nice and polite. they were attentive and very professional. everything in all, if I can turn back the time, I wouldn't be here at all. the evening has lost its elegance and prices do not justify the disappointing food. I hope they can fix this and bring back the old la boucherie charme and aromen."
