"I had a craving for soup late last night after getting home from work and ended up ordering from here after my first two orders from a different restaurant were cancelled due to sold out items.I decided to go with their Pozole instead of their Menudo because I 'm only used to Dominican mondongo. They were both listed as popular on the app so I trusted that it would be reliable. I 've never had pozole before, I try my best to not have first time experiences with takeout but hey what are you gonna do ya know? I 've always been ssssuuuuuuperrrrrrrrrr interested in it, the hominy has always been really intriguing lol. The menu didn 't indicate whether it was red or green but again, I was trusting. It was $13 for one size which is the large plastic 32oz container. They send a separate aluminum tray with cabbage (I think), raw diced onions, radishes and limes. Oh and they sent oregano and some type of chili powder! My first impression of the soup was that it was packed. Lots of hominy, lots of pork and a broth that looked a lot like stock. It wasn 't green or red. The broth also tasted like stock, not in a bad way though! It was just very simple, good but simple and for me personally, I had to add a little bit of bouillon to it for extra flavor. I actually had my hand slip and a little more than I anticipated came out, but I was able to fix it by adding extra lime. I loved the hominy! I had no idea what to expect but if you 've never had it, it 's pretty much the same texture as potatoes. The star of the show though was the pork. You could tell they put in lots of effort to make sure that they cut off the unwanted pieces of fat, which made eating it so much easier. It was so tender. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, I 'm really glad I tried something new. Only reason they didn 't get 4 stars is because I had to add seasoning to the broth."

"A Disappointing Experience at Salsa Picante Not Worth a Return VisitI had really high hopes for Salsa Picante, but unfortunately, my experience there left me feeling utterly disappointed. The restaurant had a promising atmosphere when we walked in, but things quickly went downhill from there.First off, their bar menu lacked a classic option that I look forward to enjoying during any night out – Jack Daniel's. I couldn't believe a restaurant like this wouldn't have such a popular whiskey. However, I brushed it off and opted for another drink, ready to move on with my night. My frustration was fueled when we found a huge hair in our silverware. It's not only disgusting, but also a blatant reflection of careless hygiene standards at Salsa Picante. It was a struggle not to lose my appetite right away. But the worst part our waitress seemed to be completely disinterested in providing good service. She had her headphones on, barely acknowledging our presence, let alone checking up on our order or ensuring our satisfaction. After anxiously waiting for over 45 minutes, in an almost empty restaurant, we finally received our food. But by then, our excitement had evaporated. To top it all off, our waitress showed an unprofessional and off putting attitude, which did nothing to remedy the situation. For a moment, it even seemed like we were bothering her by merely being there. In conclusion, Salsa Picante was a massive disappointment – from the bar menu to the discourteous waitress. I strongly suggest you consider other options for an enjoyable Mexican dining experience. Regrettably, Salsa Picante will not be receiving a second visit from me, nor will I recommend it to friends and family."
