"Food was absolutely incredible. Definitely recommend the pie flight, every one of them was delicious. Loved the ambiance here, too. Really felt like being in a pub in England. Our server, on the other hand, was pretty terrible. Took our drink food orders and that was it until we were ready for the check. Never got any kind of check-in or refills on our drinks. Had to wait forever to get our check when we were done. Looked like he was pretty busy, but I could see the pitcher of water sitting at the server station.....I feel like somebody could have helped us with that. Regardless of the poor service I'd 100% come back, just with hopes of a better service experience."

"Fresh oysters on Tuesday Oyster Night. We came in a bit late but were seated quickly at a lovely outdoor space. There were six different kinds of oysters to choose from, and I love that when we got our plate, there were numbers on the flags to help us differentiate them. We ate the oysters with fresh lemon juice, cocktail sauce, and Mignonette. They were absolutely delicious! The only complaint I have is with the duck liver mousse appetizer. It was a bit dry, similar to the texture of nut butter, and not served with enough bread. The bread wasn’t like a traditional baked baguette either. It was a bit soft and mushy. It would also be an improvement if the dish is served with more varieties of picked vegetables."

"Loved the food we had fish and chips which my daughter loved as we are British it's was just like home. I had Steak and Mushroom pie which was great my husband had the burger and when went on Sunday half priced bottle of wine which was nice surprise. I tried Poutine for the first time and I liked it a lot. The waitress was very helpful and pleasant. Would differently go there again."

"If you are in the D C area you need to go here. Why? As other reviewers have stated, service can be slow and/or spotty...... but that's because they are insanely busy because the food is so good. *They have an expansive outdoor patio. *They have a huge indoor footprint. *The fish and chips is just to die for. The battered fish is as big as the plate and fried to perfection. *The tarter sauce is home made. *The slaw is very lightly mixed with scallions andcilantro. It is light and delicate and uniquely delicious. *They are open continuously (many restaurants close at 2 or 3 then reopen for dinner at 5) *The bread pudding is spot on. You will regret not trying it. Made of challah with aperfectly thick bite/chew to it and crazy good sauce. I will definitely come back to this place."

"So here's the scoop.. I went out for dinner at Original Joe's Thursday night. I have to say, after having been in the bar/restaurant service industry myself for 9 years in the past, it was one of the best server experiences I've had in AGES!!! From beginning to end, every single person was welcoming, happy, and calmly accommodating, even though the place was completely packed (we even had to park over by Shopper's !! Our waitress (Nikki, a little cute thing with fun eye makeup was super friendly, and took the proper time to explain everything, go through specials, and didn't rush any of our orders or replies even though she was clearly busy. Most places I know of (not in town would have been frantic, edgy, running into each other, treating you like you're a bother, rolling their eyes at coworkers, but the staff at this place all seemed to run like a well oiled machine and really worked great together! Even the bartender took some extra time with a man ordering food to explain each and every single side dish option in detail to help the man decide what to get with his steak, just to help him feel a little more comfortable because he obviously wasn't a regular and was sitting alone. The food was hot, fast and complete, with tables of happy customers turned over ridiculously fast, and I just wanted to give a great big shout out to a great job well done to all of the staff that was there!! Even on our way out, every single staff member we passed took a moment to pause, smile and thank us for coming! I often become very disappointed when I receive crappy service because I would love nothing more than to be able to leave a great big tip every time. "If you're craving beer, good bar food, and a place to watch sports, Elephant Castle is the place to go. We stopped by during the NFC Championship game and were impressed by the variety of beers available, with the Apex Predator and Black and Brown from Hahn being particularly delicious. We were pleasantly surprised to find vegetarian options on the menu, such as the sweet potatoes with aioli which were highly recommended. The sweet cake and veggie wrap with fritten were also satisfying choices. The service was fast and friendly, and the kitchen worked quickly to get our food out. The booths were comfortable and had a good view of the sports on TV. Overall, Elephant Castle definitely deserves five stars and we will definitely be back. You won't be disappointed!"

"Love the food! I daydream about dill dip! I must admit I was a bit devistated when the menu was cut, changed etc some time ago. However, everything I have tried on the menu since all my 'go to food ' and favourites have disappeared, has been delicious!! I have a vegetarian daughter, and a vegetarian best friend and the no stress no worry menu you accommodate them with is also THEE BEST! Last night I ur server was delightful, I wish I knew her name as she needs to know she is an amazing server. My only suggestion would be to add a side option to the Bacon jalapeño mac and cheese. The price doesn 't reflect the portion size and I needed to order a side so my son wasn 't still hungry. Otherwise keep up the greatness that keeps me coming back!"

"Disappointing experience. Reserved a high top table and specified in my booking that I would like it for a World Cup game being shown. When I arrived the seat was nowhere near a television screen as requested or a high top table. I asked the waitress if it’s possible to sit closer to a screen which she kindly put me in a booth near the big screen. The manager came over after we had order drinks and abruptly asked us to move as this was reserved. I informed the manager that I have a reservation to watch this game on a high top table and was told to sit in this booth by the waitress. The manager informed me that the table I was sat at had been booked for months in advance. We moved to a high top table eventually which is front of a screen. A short while passes and a lady walks through the door and the manager informs her we have your seats available, you are lucky as your seats were being stolen and I stopped them. This suggested we took those seats when the waitress kindly put us there in the first place. He said this so loudly that we could hear it very clearly and made us feel very unwelcome. Later on the manager was being patronising to the waitress staff and the whole experience was very unpleasant to watch. There was a number people who also experienced seats in wrong location and asked the waitress and manager several times to move even though there was booths left unused. They advertised they are showing the World Cup games but it didn’t have enough seating in front of screens to accommodate everyone so I wouldn’t recommend going if you are attending to watch big sports events there. The service was quick and the food was a good standard. If it wasn’t for the rude manager in particular the experience was a 3/5 but we wouldn’t come back again to this venue again."

"There's a parking lot nearby but what a cool place! We made a last minute reservation for lunch for 10 people and it was great. Food was delicious and service was great. We ordered the Southern Pimento Cheese and Pumpkin Bisque to start. The Pimentocheese was delicious. Pumpkin bisque was good but smokier than anticipated and not too much pumpkin. We ordered a coupledrinks. I would definitely recommend Palmetto punch for drinks, it was very refreshing. For lunch, I got the CU Burger and theJapanese Fried Chicken Rice Bowl. I definitely recommend the bowl. The burger was good but definitely think the bowl was moreflavorful and absolutely delicious. Recommend coming here!"

"This bar appears to be run by a liberal owner! After finishing work late, we found ourselves with limited dining options, and this was the only place open. Upon entering, a tall man approached us and asked to see our carry permits because he noticed we had guns. Clearly, he wasn’t aware that Tennessee allows constitutional carry! I have my concealed carry permit, but my firearm is too large to conceal under yoga pants. My husband attempted to explain the law to him, but he insisted he knew it and then questioned whether we intended to drink. We don’t drink and had no plans to do so, which seemed like his excuse for denying us the right to carry inside. After we clarified that we don’t drink, he continued to press for our permits. Frustrated, we left and found a restaurant that respects the Constitution! The Outpost has excellent food, friendly staff, and a welcoming atmosphere. Additionally, the owner has seen my firearm before and is an American who isn’t intimidated by a 100-pound woman wanting to feel safe! Just a heads up though—they don’t have air conditioning, only box fans! Some of our coworkers visited about a month ago, and the air conditioning wasn’t working then either!"

"This place had some really good food! It doesn't look like much from the outside, but you will not be disappointed with the service or the food drinks here. The inside is very unique in it's decor. There is a lot to look at. I like restaurants that aren't just a boring pole barn structure. The service was quick and friendly. Check it out....I hope you will like it as much as we do! We had the Traditional Poutine Fries, they have several variations, and a burger called the Antler Burger with Fries. They were both delicious, and there was also a good amount of food. There are a lot of great restaurants in Sault Ste Marie and this one is definitely one of them."

"I was craving pizza and fries today so I decided to try a new pizza place , the fries arrived so soggy and burnt it had to be thrown away. Not only were the fries nasty but the customer service is horrible. Called to speak to someone about the fries and Stevie was so rude . His response was , ?ok what would you like me to do? ? What a way to talk to your customers !!! I will never order from the place again and I will let the staff over at the Brigham to order else where ! "We visited on 7/3/22. They were serving prime rib that was very good , salad bar , fried chicken , some Mexican food options , jumbo shrimp, broiled fish and several side dishes. Besides the prime rib the other dishes to me were so so This buffet was pretty decent before covid with quite a lot of dishes and dessert options, I’d say it was about 1/2 of what it used to be and very over priced at $32.99 , but hey, I’m glad it’s back and I’m hoping it will improve. I wouldn’t recommend eating here at the current price"

"Danger. Lead paint in your drinks. Health hazard. They add unsanitary painted aluminon candy wraps into milkshakes aka edible gold leaves. Owner whom called himself Jay was unapologetic and would not change anything. He was extremally rude and knows nothing of manners and has no class. Shameful. Angry employee, a big girl, would not even disclose her name. She could not get the wrappers out with her spoon when asked from my child milkshake and would nor make a new shake for him. ...How do these geniuses think we, the customer, should get it out? Oh and they are stingy on the napkins too give you an attitude if you ask for one extra. We left the shake for her to drink. Even when it was explained that milkshake was for a 3 year old child they threw chemically painted aluminum wrappers right into the baby 's shake to soak there. I might have to find time and call health department on them. Children under 6, pregnant women, those who will be pregnant someday or really anyone should not be eating that. In general place ran by angry people , awful vibes and flavorless ice creams that not worth the calories."
