"This is the first time eating at Taormina’s since the ownership has changed. I read a lot of bad reviews but decided to go and find out for myself. My server Jackie was very friendly and helpful. Service was quick and the food was delicious. We started with the hot sausage peppers for an appetizer. It was enough for two. We also shared the Pear arugula spinach salad with their famous champagne dressing . Main course we ordered chicken franchise it came with a salad Caesar salad pasta . Everything was fantastic. We took the rest of our salad and half of our chicken franchise home. We skipped dessert for we were to full. Best part we have lunch for tomorrow. . We will definitely be back soon."

"Decent quality food, OK atmosphere, NYC prices with credit card surcharge and LOUSY service. A lot of people standing around doing nothing. An expensive error: I had missed my train and went into the restaurant for a quick bite. It took a while to get served, I ate about 20% of my entree, I asked to take the rest of it to go. to catch the train). Instead, they were preparing me a duplicate entree to go, billed me for it, and I explained that I wanted my entree, just to go on the train, but I did not get it language barrier, maybe? Though they did straighten out the billing. And I was stupid enough to leave a tip! Shame on me !!! Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 3"

"A reservation was for 730 and we were not seated until 745. Our waiter came over and immediately seem to have a bad attitude. We ordered two pastors and a chicken. Our waiter never wrote anything down and proceeded to bring the incorrect chicken dish when he brought the meals 20 minutes later. When we told him that he brought the incorrect chicken dish he was not apologetic he simply asked if we wanted the meals all together or if he should leave the pasta dishes? When we told him that we wanted all of the meals together with that he took the pasta dishes back. Still not apologizing. Finally brought all of the meals after another 20 minutes and the chicken was so dry you could barely eat it. We sent it back and still no big apology. I finally spoke with a manager and he apologized but again wasn’t overly apologetic. At the end of the meal they did bring a couple of complimentary desserts. Obviously they didn’t charge for the chicken dish since it wasn’t eaten. That def didn’t make up for the choppy service or bad food. The entire situation could have been handled differently and would have changed our experience."

"Service wasn’t good. We weren’t gien menus when seated, but other tables seated after us were given menus. We didn’t know who our waiter was as if we were never acknowledged. It took forever to just order drinks. The portions were small and not of good quality. It was as if it was prepared and tasted as if it came out of a cafeteria. Even the ice cream dessert was unappetizing. Our experience was not good whatsoever, and we will not be dining at this restaurant again."

"For an upscale elegant restaurant, food was very plain. Scallops arrived room temperature and had to be sent back. Fish meal was a slab of fish with no vegetable or decoration/accompaniment on plate. Chocolate cake was a thin piece of cake with nothing to enhance—no swirls of chocolate sauce, no dollop of whipped or ice cream. Didn’t seem like restaurant cared very much to impress customers like when I dined there last Fall. However, restaurant was good at fulfilling requests for food modifications. Not many customers were dining there no doubt because of these factors—too bad because it used to be a shining jewel in Rockland."

"I recently visited Napolita in downtown Wilmette after exploring the nearby Baha'i temple. The restaurant is situated on a main road with some available street parking. We were recommended to try the pizza, which is known for its authentic Italian flavors with ingredients imported from Italy and cooked in a traditional pizza oven. The pizza was truly outstanding, with a thin crust that transported me back to Italy. We ordered 2 pizzas and 2 appetizers for 2 adults and 2 kids, which turned out to be more than enough food. The artichoke and spinach appetizer was a standout dish. The restaurant's decor is modern and inviting, and the service was top-notch. I would definitely visit again if I am in the area. The service was efficient and attentive, and the lunch prices range from $10 to $20 per person. Overall, I would give Napolita a perfect score of 5 out of 5 for its food, service, and atmosphere. The only downside is that parking can be a challenge, with paid street parking as the primary option."

"This restaurant is right near the golf course that I play. So I started to order dinner for the family from this place after my round of golf. I usually order the family meal of the day, which is indeed the best deal in town. The owner Vinny was very friendly. The food was delicious each time, and my family really enjoyed each meal. "Reservation for Valentines Day, so we expected the place to be a little busy. However, the complete lack of service was utterly mind baffling. We were going to be minutes late, so I called ahead just to let them know, and was told not a problem. If only I'd known.Got to the restaurant and stood in the entrance for about minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Finally a waitress comes up and says she just needs to take water to this one table and she'll be right with us, and if we'd like to take a seat at the bar and get a drink feel free. So we sat at the bar. Ten minutes later no bartender. Finally someone walks by, and we ask if we can get a drink. The guy rudely says "Well what do you want?" The actual bartenders comes back and takes our order I order a beer and my wife a cocktail. My beer gets poured, and then the bartender walks away without a word. The girl from minutes ago finally must have delivered that water because she came back and said she could take us to our table now. We asked her about the drink we were still waiting for and she was completely flustered. Keep in mind we'd been here for at least a half an hour now with virtually no service. We get seated and everyone around us is talking about terrible the service had been. couple said they'd been there for hours and only just gotten their salads. The young couple immediately next to us offered us their bread with a comment of "You should take some you won't be getting anything else soon"We wait about another minutes and no one comes back to the table. Based on the service so far and the feedback from the other tables we decided to get up and leave. As we were walking out the door the rude waiter from before was leaning over a chair chatting to another table, looked up and must have recognized us and again rudely and sarcastically said "Seeeee ya". Sorry to say, you won't. Truly a disappointing experience. Would not recommend this place to anyone"

"Fresh, excellent Italian food with lots of vegetables and indulgent options. The service was attentive and helpful; the atmosphere was of a big family dinner (in a good way). Fresh seafood including oysters, good kid options (such as pasta, freshly made chicken fingers and fries etc). On the down side, it?s pricy, and there are few vegan and gluten free options. "You know you are in a good, authentic place when the food literally transports you to your grandmother's house when you were a child. The black bean soup had this fantastic combination of ingredients that I have not found anywhere but in my grandma's kitchen. That soup, by itself, was worth the trip. The sword fish appetizer was very good and the pisco sour was fantastic (I know, pisco sour is not Mexican, but in any case, it was very refreshing and perfectly mixed). Price wise, well you are in NYC ... 'nough said."

"Truly fine food served in a very professional manner at an historic setting. A walk through the grounds and seeing the historical pictures are a must. "I ordered a pizza and I accidentally locked myself in without my money when I came to the road to meet the driver. said the driver, he should just take the food back into the load because I knew it would wait a long time. I came to my house an hour later and called again to command a new one. the type that answered the phone recognized my address and asked me who would pay for the hour old pizza they apparently still had. "Alongside the short ribs, I opted for a side of pasta. The ziti, topped with a fresh marinara sauce, was a delight. It was cooked to perfection—just the right amount of al dente. The short ribs were served with spinach, which had absorbed all the flavorful juices from the meat; it was cooked just right. I also tried the fried calamari, which was quite good. It came with two generous lemon slices and a nice portion of marinara sauce for dipping. Additionally, I ordered a kids' pizza that was a decent size, cut into four equal slices, and it was quickly devoured by the little ones. I stole a bite, and it was freshly made and delicious. When I arrived to pick up my order, everything was ready, and the staff checked on the kids' pizza to ensure it was good to go. Just a minute later, I was handed a brown bag with my meals and the pizza box, and off I went. Parking can be a bit tricky, but I managed to find a metered spot almost directly across the street. The ambiance felt like an old-school Italian red sauce joint, featuring black-and-white photos of Sophia Loren and other famous Italian scenes on the walls. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. I didn't dine in, so I can't comment on the service, but in any case, I give it two enthusiastic thumbs up! Buona appetito!"
