"This place is nestled in, but it stands out. My family and I were driving through the highly competitive restaurant row of Bardstown Road and happened upon Taco City. Even though there is an Indian place to the left and far East cuisine to the right, we all agreed that tacos sounded perfect. As soon as I opened the door I was hit in the face with a wonderful mixture of smells which confirmed that we had made the right choice. Between us all, we had the birria quesa pulled beef tacos (pictured), breakfast tacos and shrimp tacos. As usual, we shared food and all of it was fantastic. The portions were great. Out of all 5 of us, I was the only one who didn't take a to-go box. Btw, if you're looking for some heat, the chili pepper-oil topping that they give on the side will light your mouth up! As far as drinks go, they have the typical soft drinks but they have a cooler to the side stocked full of cold Jarritos, White Claw, Dos Equis and more. The only potential drawback here is limited seating but, even though I saw it as a problem at first, it doesn't seem to be a part of their draw. I will gladly stand in the middle of the floor and a taco at this place. I'm already looking forward to warmer weather so that I can go back when I'm in town and crunch those tacos on the patio!"
