"They recently changed their hours, so now they only stay open until 8 PM. This is quite strange, especially since it's summer, the movie theater in El Paseo is much busier following the closure of the AMC theater in Vallco, and it’s not even dark yet at that time. I really think they’re missing out on a lot of potential business. Additionally, they've added a code to the bathroom door, which makes me wonder if they were having issues with non-customers using it previously. It’s hard to say. What I do know is that during my brief visit, everyone who was given the code had difficulty opening the door because it included a special character at the end of a long string of numbers that nobody could remember. On a brighter note, they serve delicious coffee and pastries, and the staff is both knowledgeable and friendly. The strawberry pop tart had a lovely pastry crust that seemed to have been brushed with egg white to give it a nice sheen. The filling tasted *exactly* like Smucker's strawberry jelly… In fact, I suspect it might have actually been Smucker's! Whether that’s a good or bad thing is up to personal taste. However, I found it odd that while they offer several unusual ingredients for unique drinks, like turmeric and ginger for golden drinks, their selection of more standard flavored syrups is extremely limited. There’s no raspberry, no strawberry, and no other berry flavors—just chocolate, honey, coconut, and of course, turmeric. Their golden drinks have more of a winter flavor profile anyway, which is probably why they’re not currently on the menu. They have no specials at the moment (though they mentioned they can still make the turmeric drinks), zero fruit flavors, and a very limited selection of syrups. Come on, guys! Don’t rest on your laurels. What are you doing to stay competitive? Be sure to grab your turmeric latte before 8 PM!"

"The owner here truly stands out; he remembered my name after just my first visit! He is incredibly professional and efficient, and I wouldn't be surprised if he gets promoted to a regional role soon. The coffee is amazing, and the staff are very friendly. Even though I have the app for ordering, I enjoy the atmosphere so much that I still go in every morning to order 3 to 7 drinks for my work crew. I love sitting there, taking in the delightful aromas. It's usually busy when I arrive shortly after opening, but they always take a moment to wish me a great day with smiles on their faces. "I received some very horrible customer service from this young lady I ordered a small regular coffee and it took like 30 minutes for me to get it I have to basically go up there and ask for my coffee because she didn't care about me anymore after I paid. This was a very unpleasant and emotional situation that I was in I felt very embarrassed and ashamed not even went into this location but I never will I'm very disappointed at the customer service that this young lady has presented to me. "I absolutely love this place! It has a fantastic location, a charming atmosphere, and plenty of space. The staff is friendly and the drinks are delicious. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the drink sizes are quite small. A large is only about 12 oz (and since I order iced drinks, it's even less). I would happily pay more for a bigger size!"

"I 've decided to NEVER visit this Peet 's location again. Super-slow service on the weekends, and today when I went in and ordered a LARGE drink, they tried giving me a medium. The young girl said, Well, you were charged for a medium, so if you want, we can remake it if you pay the difference. Are you kidding me! THEIR mistake, and they want to make me pay the $1 difference! I should have taken my $1.80 tip back! I just told her, forget it, and walked out. Funny thing is, the SAME thing happened a month or two ago. WOW! But that time, at least the barista just chose to give me a slight attitude and remake it, in LARGE, and not charge me the difference. What do they think...that I am trying to hustle them by getting a large drink for the price of a medium??? ASININE! ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!! Additionally, when I first walked in, there were like 4 people waiting for their drinks and no one waiting to order. So I walked up, and stood there for at least 2 minutes like the invisible man, with no one even acknowledging my presence. Maybe a, Hello sir, we 'll be right with you would be appropriate? And then when the girl finally did come to the counter, she just stood there, stared blankly at me and said nothing! RUDE!!! Maybe I 'm just getting old, but it seems like people in the service industry are just too cool or too busy to do what they are paid to do...BE NICE TO PEOPLE!!! Or maybe, let 's just blame COVID...it 's what everyone else is doing! LOL!!! P.S., Clayton Valley Shopping Center Peet 's Employees: Linguistically, the words LARGE and MEDIUM sound NOTHING alike...The first has 1 syllable, and the second has 3 syllables and a long vowel. Even with my mask, you should have understood me."

"Honestly, Hannah is the entire reason I frequent this Peet's often. She always remembers my name and asks me how my day has been. She has such good energy, it's hard to stay dour even when I've had a bad day. I work from home 2 days a week and enjoy getting out of the house for those days Almaden Peet's has become my favorite. The remodel has made the place much more lux, and added more seats, which I greatly appreciate. My only gripe is that spots that are next to chargers are in high demand!! I always offer to let people wire into the second plug if I it's open. Maybe we could add more wall outlets? :"

"I’ve always loved Pete’s service however yesterday’s experience was awful to say the least. The woman making the drinks a bigger set white woman wearing a bandana treated me so rudely and quite honestly I felt that I was treated differently because I’m Latina the other customers were treated nicely and were white. It’s so disheartening to live in a world where I’m treated differently because of my skin color and ethnicity. Hope Pete’s does better."

"I do not recommend this branch of Peet's coffee at all. employees do not know how to make the drinks that are on there menu. I ordered a large espresso frappe. I got a medium. and it was watery thin. so I went back. spoke with the manager who was nice, and refunded my money and made me a new drink. however that drink while yes it was a large had none of the sweetener that they put in the drink. how hard is it to make a drink that is on your own menu. if you can't make the drink maybe don't offer it? and if you want to put it on your drink maybe trane your employees correctly. and if they are not capable of making the drinks on your menu, maybe find new employees."
