"I went to this restaurant tonight, just three people and I. Four people total. The first thing that went wrong was I waited a hour for a table in a empty restaurant. I let that go because the food here is really good and the service is really good. Yet, the worst thing I imagine, happened. Our food was undercooked, the outside look really good but in the inside it was raw. I told the server this happened. Lauren, our server, tried her best to help us out and even the food runner tried to help. The manager walked up to us and said you happy now. I don 't know what he meant by this. Then I asked, and he told me I should leave that my type of people shouldn 't be in here. I took offense to this. Yes I 'm gay, yes I was wearing a crop top, but I do not need a manager coming up to me telling me this. Also he was checking me out all night and I could tell he was because he was at the bar for a minute just looking me up and down. I asked my server his name and she said it 's Mike, I believe that is correct. I hope the lgbt community will help me boycott this restaurant until is Mike is removed."

"Service was great! Location is super convenient but ingredients were kind of sad, overripe strawberry and wilted celery in our drinks (which were also very expensive).. presentation overall is not this diners strong suit. However, it tasted better than it looked ! If I could give it 3.5 stars I would."

"Went there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and everything was amazing! The cheesecake was like heaven on a plate, creamy and light enough to make the perfect dessert, even after a heavy dinner. For breakfast I had their Lumberjck meal, which had 2 griddle cakes that were so fluffy, and came with bacon, sausage, and your choice of home fries or grits (I got the grits). For lunch I had the Reuben sandwich which was packed in with corned beef, but again, so delicious! For dinner I only had the disco fries with the cheesecake. All of it was *chefs kiss*. The staff were super friendly and the restaurant has a Brooklyn theme (as that's where the original location is from) but it made me feel super welcomed and at home. I would absolutely recommend and definitely go again!!"

"We went on a referral for a Reuben sandwich. Three sizes and the medium was a nice size. I had the southwestern chicken salad. So massive, I took home rest for supper. A beautiful feast. Clean and a nice crowd. Lots of parking and room for wheelchairs. Not sure on restroom as did not visit it. Very hard worker staff. Full liquor bar. Parking: Close to the entrance, so a short walk. Kid-friendliness: Booths for containing small ones. Relaxed place."

"One of the best classic diners. My picture was of the front seating area which is original diner. They also have a more conventional dining area behind. We had breakfast specials which were both reasonably priced and Delicious. Food was cooked your order and very good. I do love their pancakes. The staff was friendly and attentive. When the owner came in and greeted everyone."

"This was my 2nd time and I loved it even more. I took the whole family with me for my sister-in-law's birthday. We had the pizza that was out of this world, great crust. Gnocchi, ravioli ... everything is so fresh and delicious. John, the owner, is a real gentleman and knows how to take care of his customers and the server we had that evening. I never felt rushed and could just enjoy the atmosphere and great food. I highly recommend this restaurant. We look forward to a reunion."

"The customer service at this restaurant was incredibly rude, especially from the cook. I was patiently waiting for my takeout order when he brought the food to the lobby and just yelled, "Hey, chicken strips!" He didn’t say excuse me or thank us—just shouted at us as if we were dogs. If you enjoy being treated like a dog instead of a paying customer, then this is the place for you! If I ever have to eat here again, I’ll make sure to treat the staff the same way I was treated."

"Not my kind of place. The bar / tavern had screaming, loud customers on a day when there was no one around. Really a tasting menu, teen plate, teen servings, bad value for money. The waitress told me that the green peppers in my clam chowder were mild - they weren't and had to spit out with a burning mouth. Really embarrassing when I was treated. Instead, they gave me asparagus. Your only vegetable. They didn't notice that my water glass was empty and I had to request it. Backless benches to sit in the tavern / bar, but you can request an uncomfortable chair. Not a place where you, like me, eat a lot of healthy protein and vegetables. I don't like leaving a restaurant where I feel bloated with too much food, but I don't want to go hungry either. The coffee was good after the meal."

"I've been here a few times. They really do have delicious pastries and bread, But I rated their service so low and took a star off for their food because I ordered to go off their website. I got a loaf of bread sliced, and a a breakfast sandwich. The breakfast sandwich was delicious, but the loaf of bread was completely burnt on the bottom. Not just a little burnt. It was black burnt. It ruined the taste of the bread, and I understand that the ovens they cook the bread in is really hot and needs to be to get the outer crust, I don't think that's acceptable to sell to customers. I rated that on the service though because it was the person who made the choice to sell that black burnt bread because I was just picking it up."

"When we asked for a good place to eat on our trip up from Ohio, someone said You can 't go wrong with Monroe Grill! And WOW truly we were blown away. Our waitress was so friendly and kind. She asked about our trip and gave us even more info about local places; I even think it was the owner who walked over briefly and greeted us as well! AND The food was awesome, steamy hot sandwiches, crispy battered fries, and fluffy crepes! "I don 't understand how anyone who knows anything about quality pizza would think this place makes good pizza. The sauce is salty and taste like it came out of a jar. The dough tastes processed and bland, probably buy it wholesale instead of making itfresh everyday. The cheese is low quality mottzarella. If your looking for cheap food sure ???? its edible. "I arrived at the restaurant at 7:30 PM, and the door stated they closed at 8:00 PM. I called to confirm, and a rude woman answered, saying, "The restaurant closes at 8, but the kitchen closes at 7:30." Does that even make sense? If I could give them zero stars, I definitely would. "My friend and I stopped on 11. June 2022 on the way to Detroit airport. We just stopped on a Wim and we were blown away! Our waitress Paige was quite young, but was super sweet and kept our drinks full. My friend has lambship with rice. I had a chicken-shawarma wrap. We both had a bowl of noodle soup. I have to say that I've never had a better bowl of noodle soup in my life! The taste was excellent! We both fell in love with the soup. Even if the red olive is over an hour from where I live, it was worth the ride and we will be back. Thank you."
