"This is the best ice cream shop within at least a 15-mile radius, and possibly even farther. Their selection is outstanding, and the quality of the ice cream and ingredients is exceptional—nothing else in the area can compare. My personal favorites include the brownie sundae, chocolate, chocolate peanut butter, and cookie dough. I'm not sure how they are connected to the burger place next door, but their location is perfect. Just remember to enjoy lunch or dinner before indulging in dessert!"

"Every time I come to town I tell myself that I should try Oberweis Ice Cream and this trip, I finally did! AMAZING!! We went inside and placed our order for chocolate chip ice cream cones. We saw the tables with the chessboards and just had to play. What a great idea! The ice cream was delicious, very rich and creamy and the chips had a great chocolate flavor. We both really enjoyed our cones. We both hadn't played chess in years so it was fun to remember how! It was getting pretty late and we'd had a full day walking in the city and we were really tired, so we called the chess game a draw. But the ice cream cones were a win for sure!"

"I visited my family recently, and they were craving homemade ice cream made from farm-fresh milk. I offered to treat them, which included two toddlers, one preschooler, and three adults. With over a dozen locations in the area, we chose the closest one. This was my first time getting ice cream to go from this place. It was busy when we arrived, filled with many young staff members ready to fulfill our ice cream orders. The team was very efficient in preparing what we wanted, and I noticed a poster advertising for even more staff. I personally enjoyed a vanilla milkshake topped with whipped cream and a cherry. Our total bill for two milkshakes and four cups of single-scoop ice cream came to $26, excluding tip. We will definitely be back for more homemade ice cream the next time I visit!"

"This restaurant is clean and has plenty of tables with chess games to keep people entertained while enjoying their ice cream. We arrived late and unfortunately they were out of mint chocolate chip and vanilla s'mores flavors. My nieces and nephews love coming here to play chess. The ice creams are rich and tasty. Make sure to try their s'mores, although they were sold out when we visited. This is our favorite spot for ice cream when we're in Chicago. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. The atmosphere is clean and roomy. We will definitely be returning."

"This was the worst excuse for a strawberry malt I've ever tasted. It had absolutely no malt flavor and was as thin as water. To make matters worse, when I pointed out the missing cherry, the staff member laughed and asked if I wanted a straw with it. Right now, I’d rather be at the Malt Shop in Fenton. I wasted $10 on a malt, and half of that was spent just getting there. In response to your message, there's no need to reach out via email; I won’t be returning, even if you offered me free treats for a month. I understand that it’s just kids working there, but come on, it’s a malt! How can you forget to include the malt flavor in a drink? It’s right there in the name!"

"I order from here at least twice a week; I’ve probably placed over 40 orders on either DoorDash, Uber eats, etc. Last night was a bad experience. Last night I ordered a strawberry raspberry smoothie and the thing had giant chunks of ice and full ice cubes. I’ve ordered the smoothie before and it a pleasant icy smooth texture. I also ordered a triple scoop. I listed in the special instructions for fuller scoops; which I do every time because depending on who makes they either give me reasonable scoops or very small. Last night was the smallest scoops they ever gave and it almost seemed on purpose. Today Feb 5th I placed another order through Uber eats. I specifically stated in the instructions I didn’t want whip cream or a cookie in my shake. Unfortunately I end up getting both.. Disappointing because I order from them so much.Update the store didn’t follow special instructions and received watery shakes. I contacted the email and they still haven’t responded."

"Unfortunately, the store was closed for unknown reason, but the ride was open... so we waited in a long line for some Coconut Chocolate Almond...!!! We had heard it was set, but today the server said we had it as a blow in a cone. We bought a pint to get home before we found out...!!! A negative is Oberweis seems to cut off various flavors in different seasons... Mango Pomegranate lost before the pandemic... But we'll keep trying what they're holding. Let's hope Mint Chip won't go to the block!"

"I’m giving this place three stars because I have a nut allergy, and the staff member added nuts to my ice cream despite me informing her about my allergy. When I pointed it out, she became upset and simply placed the new order on the counter instead of handing it to me directly. The way she did this was disappointing on many levels. "I ordered the apple crisp, it was inedible because of the raw dough. The dough looked pale/grey and was the consistency of tooth paste. There was one (assumed) canned apple floating in it. Looked like vomit and tasted like raw dough mixed with milk. Idrove here, waited a long time, drove home, tried it and rinsed the entire thing down the sink. "There was a time when Oberweis customer service used to be number 1 priority. Their pickle policy was on point.I visited with my son today. TBJ side of tables were all busy and dairy side table and chairs were all closed down. Mind you it was 8:15pm Saturday night.My son wanted to enjoy hot chocolate there. I inquired about dairy side chairs since TBJ side was full. We weren't offered, we were told that's the only side would be available.I think it was shift lead or assistant manager, I couldn't tell since her Adidas hoodie was covering her uniform, she kept leaving the counter on and off and go sit with her friends occupying 1 table.Just wow."
