"I typically have fantastic experiences at Oberweis and always look forward to visiting when I'm near one, but I was let down this time. I faced complications while ordering my usual customized banana royale, something I've been ordering for over 20 years. The new system attempted to charge me for substituting ice creams and toppings, but fortunately, the manager intervened when I raised my concerns. Although my preferred flavors made it into the dish, the whipped cream was flat, and instead of pecans, I received peanuts—definitely not what I wanted. The ice cream was also too soft, resulting in a presentation that was a mess, as you can see in the picture—something that should never have been served. To top it off, the banana was overly ripe and mushy. I hope this was just an isolated incident due to staff needing more training, as I have always been impressed with every location in the past."

"Not just burgers and drinks as the name suggests where the poutine style fries were worth ordering double. Not pictured visiting the second time were the jumbo wings appetizer that lived up to their namesake, larger than national chain brands. An attached ice creamery provided a dessert option along with various spiked milkshakes. The atmosphere was energetic, having a mix of sports on TVs and a classic selection of music. Service was excellent and out of dozens of customers, our server recognized the group and gave a warm welcome back. Definitely worth a visit for those curious, looking for locally sourced eats and treats."

"I used to think Anderson's was great. The flavor of the ice cream just isn't that good I'm also disappointed with the sub par service and inconsistent portions. The inconsistencies are extremely frustrating especially because of the price. Its annoying ordering a small ice cream for the kids and then ordering a medium or even a large and it looking like the same amount of ice cream. Then when I say something they just brush it off or ignore me completely. Another thing that was disgusting to me is when the ice cream machine hasn't been used for a little while and that first amount that comes out is warm liquid milk filling the bottom of my cone. Honestly I regret going there every time."

"After a White Sox game, I decided to get a burger and a bowl of chili with a cold draft beer. To my disappointment, I found out that the original Lindy's on Archer Avenue had closed down. Let me explain, I used to work at this restaurant in the 1970s and everything was made fresh, from the chili to the onion rings and French fries. The crew took pride in their cooking and the place was always bustling with customers. It's a shame that this iconic restaurant, a Chicago institution since the early 1920s, was sold and closed. People used to line up outside the doors at 10am just to taste the delicious fresh chili and other offerings at Lindy's on Archer Avenue. Bill Orr and Tennessee would be disappointed. It's truly shameful that Chicago has lost such an iconic restaurant at 3685 Archer Avenue."

"We spent two days in Mount Pleasant enjoying the water park and dined at four different places. All of them were decent, but one stood out as the best! Doozie's Ice Cream was fantastic. The staff was incredibly sweet and friendly, and the other customers were welcoming too. Our ice creams were delicious, and the prices were unbeatable! If you're in the city, this is definitely a must-visit spot! Amazing ice cream, wonderful people, and great prices!"

"The food is always amazing here but the lady in the drive thru window is very out of order should not be in charge of handing out food or taking orders.. pulled up and the only person in line paid at first window and waited at second window for my food for 10 mins , than another 10-15 mins pass and I still do not have my drinks but I look in my mirror and she’s handing drinks to the car behind me at the first window!! Had to finally ask another employee where my drinks were and she was kind and friendly enough to get them for me. Just a little ridiculous."

"Jaime was our server, and she was exceptional! This restaurant has an incredible variety of options, so you really can't make a bad choice. The banana split was the largest I've ever encountered—absolutely huge! I wish we had a place like this in Arizona. Antonio created a dessert that was not only delicious but also stood at least a foot tall! The entire atmosphere felt like a nostalgic nod to the 1960s, with generous portions and friendly smiles everywhere. The kids' sundae was also quite sizable. It was truly an authentic Chicago dessert experience! Great job, Jaime and Antonio!"
