"Really happy I listened to my hubby to come and try this place. We made it a point to try all the local seafood joints/shacks in the Point Lookout/Oceanside/Long Beach area. I was a little hesitant at first cause we weren 't sure how the seating would work and it was getting a little chilly. We first went to Point Lookout Clam Bar which is what we wanted to try initially but all the seats were outdoor. The set-up and view was beautiful as you can see in my picture but we preferred to sit indoors. Total non-issue as the host informed us that Fisherman 's Catch is owned by the same person and the menu is exactly the same. (Yay! So I 'm assuming due to Covid there was minimal table service which was fine. The procedure once you enter is to seat yourself, look over the menu and then go to the bar to order. Seating was perfect as we were there before 5pm and had the whole indoor restaurant to ourselves and we picked the loveliest seat by the window with a spectacular view. The bartender was very helpful was all our inquiries of the menu and ordering was easy. She even let us try some of the draft beer before we ordered as we never had them before. (thank you The food came really quickly. Everything was delicious! My family is self proclaimed seafood fanatics and we loved everything we ordered. The lobster bisque is excellent (no picture as my younger one finished it too quickly. Her only one complaint was that she wanted oyster crackers to accompany the soup. The steamers had a nice sweet aftertaste and my husband kept raving about how fresh they are. Yum! My older one complained when I ordered the grilled calamari claiming that she doesn 't like grilled calamari but once she tried it, she kept raving about how that 's that 's the best grilled calamari she 's ever had! From a previous review, someone mentioned the lobster roll being filled with imitation lobster. This is NOT the case and I checked with the bartender before I ordered as well. The ingredients are all fresh lobster and it tasted delicious. My husband ordered the fried scallops and he enjoyed them very much. The main dishes both came with fries that my family loved as they were thin and crispy. My kids shared the lobster sauce pasta and there were huge pieces of lobster inside the creamy sauce. Also due to Covid I 'm assuming, everything came out on disposable plates. Everything was excellent. So far on our journey to try all the local seafood joints, this venue is definitely at the top of our list so far. It definitely beats out the seafood shack in Oceanside that has the most ratings on Yelp. That one is not bad but this place exceeded our expectation. My kids wants to put their two cents in and said mommy, make sure to give them 5 stars on Yelp . Guess it 's family approved and will be one of our fave local joints from now on. There really weren 't too many customers. Only two other tables showed up when we left but it was really early. No one outside at all. Please support your local eateries especially the delicious ones so they can survive during these difficult times. Thank you for the great service and for being so welcoming when we arrived."

"My husband opted out of having wine, but I ordered a bottle for myself while he chose a cocktail. We also ordered water, but it was never refilled and he was not asked if he’d like another drink. We started with three appetizers and were assured that the pacing of our meal would be well-managed. We enjoyed the bruschetta, eggplant rollatini, and clam chowder; all were excellent choices. However, as soon as we finished our last bite of the appetizers, our main courses were brought out. While I appreciate prompt service, it felt like they rushed our main dishes out to avoid them getting cold. Afterward, we were asked if we wanted crushed red pepper or Parmesan cheese. I requested crushed red pepper for my linguine vongole, and my husband asked for cheese for his dish, but neither was provided at first. He reminded our server about my crushed red pepper since she knew I wouldn’t enjoy my meal without it, and she returned with it, acknowledging her oversight. Mistakes like that happen, so it was no big deal. I had leftovers, and since I prefer to box my own food from my experience in the industry, I asked our server for a box. She agreed and said she would be right back with one. However, after a significant wait, she returned with a dessert and a sparkler to celebrate our anniversary, which was a lovely surprise. We could hear other tables celebrating birthdays while we were there, but it felt a bit awkward with my large portion of linguine still on the table. Eventually, she did bring the box. We enjoyed the tiramisu, but she didn’t check back to see if we wanted coffee or espresso. When we decided we wanted to order some dinner to go, she simply stopped by to drop off the check. Was that it? Were we being rushed out? Other tables that arrived before us were still dining, and there were plenty of open tables—so it didn’t seem necessary to turn the table over quickly. Overall, while the food was enjoyable and the anniversary touch was appreciated, the service could definitely use improvement."

"That was a very pleasant, unexpected surprise. My noble gum and I came here last Friday night before a punk concert in the nearby Starland ballroom, which judged by some of the interesting hair colors in the dining room, we were not the only ones. This is one of my least favorite areas of the state, and I was not thrilled about the nearby restaurants on paper. Gusto Grill had a favorable location for us, and a fairly safe, though lightly edgy kitchen we could both return. I came a few minutes before my friend and could grab a high table in the bar area very easily while I waited. Anyone I interacted with from the minute at the door was super friendly, professional and accessible exactly what you want, and one of the intangibles you do not always get, unfortunately. I decided to get the Ghostly Encounter Cocktail $12), partly because of the name, partly because it had a unique / fascinating mix that rose, vodka and the star of the show, house made ghost pepper syrup. Hadn't disappointed it had a kick at the end, but I didn't find it over the top. Your bartender has a legit mexiology capability set that is 90% for me to go the scarcity of different ingredients, and with spirit pepper syrup? You know better what you're doing so that the girls don't have smoke from their ears. Good work. We share the Sesam Ginger Calamari $18), and I chose the Sashimi Tuna App $22) as my entree. Both were very good. Calamari comes to me texture more than anything, and this dish had the perfect crispness to it, the fact that it was perfectly seasoned with a beautiful Asian pest was a bonus. We polished it pretty fast. The tuna was also excellent. I was definitely not as hungry as I could have been, so if you came in here with a casual appetite, that's not something I would get for your main meal. But it was the perfect part for me. The tuna was fresh, and it is very similar to a sesame ahi tuna you would get in a steakhouse that I feel quite often when I don't feel QUITE as a meat-eating / awesome from my place at the top of the food chain). I already touched it briefly, but the service was absolutely top notch. Our waiter often came by to check us, and I can't remember a single time when we looked around or waited for him to bring us a court, check, etc. We were also not the only people in the bar area this was a Friday night at 6:30, so there was a decent crowd), and he could still show quite a lot when we wanted him. I don't know who's responsible for this place, but they know what they're doing. Strong, highly recommended. My Chum, who is not given the good praise, noticed during the meal how impressed she was, and that she wished that she continued a location to the north where we live. Gusto Grill is the rare breed that deals with many unique flavors/offers, but also with high-quality service and hos"
