"**Mixed Review: Staff vs. Food**
**Staff:** My experience with the staff was inconsistent. Upon entering, the first hostess I encountered was neither friendly nor welcoming. I informed her about the number of people in my party and mentioned that I had joined the Yelp waitlist, but I wasn't sure if the timing had passed. She responded with a blank stare and seemed distracted. I'm unsure if she was unfamiliar with the system or simply uninterested in assisting a Black patron. Fortunately, another host approached with a smile, asked for my name, found our reservation on the waitlist, and led us to our table. However, our server was also initially unwelcoming, though she gradually warmed up to us. It made me wonder: Are Black guests not welcomed here?
**Food:** The food was outstanding. Everything we tried, from the French toast to the waffles and bacon, was delicious.
**Menu:** I wish the menu included a description of the French toast; while the pancakes had descriptions, the French toast did not. When I inquired about it, the waitress looked at us as if we should already know.
**Suggestions:** I recommend diversity training for the staff to ensure that all guests feel welcome. Additionally, adding descriptions for the French toast on the menu would enhance the dining experience."
