"For a home cooked style meal at a very reasonable price, you can't beat the Holiday Restaurant! They have everything from steaks, chicken, pork, BBQ, seafood and salads. There are plenty of good vegetable sides, as well. Appetizers like fried pickles or a blooming onion will really hit the spot. Breakfast here is also a real treat with pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs, grits and several other great items. Coffee, tea, juice and soft drinks are available at every meal. Jeremy and his staff are very friendly and courteous. They are open for breakfast and lunch Tuesday through Sunday, and dinner Thursday through Saturday."

"This diner is a cozy little spot set in a trailer or an old train car. It’s a charming place that delivers well on what it offers. The service is friendly and attentive, and the prices are quite reasonable. The menu is simple, featuring a few daily specials, but you can find all the classic diner staples you’d expect. Some dishes are excellent, while others are just average, but if you keep your expectations in check, you’ll likely leave satisfied. I often stop by with my kids for a quick breakfast or dinner when we need something easy. Initially, my wife wasn’t a fan of the place, and seating for five can be challenging. However, a few years later, she has come around and now enjoys it too. I’ve gained a deeper appreciation for this diner than ever before."

"I wanted to like this place! With its down-home friendly atmosphere, made from scratch brunch menu items, and real maple syrup, I was sold before the first bite. Unfortunately, there is room for improvement. The bacon is really thick cut, so ordering it crisp produces something with the consistency of shoe leather. Also, while the waffles looked scrumptious, they were a littletoo thick and dense. There 's more to making a really good waffle than just pouring pancake batter into a waffle iron. The foodwas definitely good enough to eat , but with a little work, it could be even better."

"This is one of the worst restaurants I have been to. They don't know and can't read their own menu. They don't know what some of the food is on their menu. Service is nonexistent and annoying. Kid-friendliness: Terrible and expensive options for their kids menu. Wheelchair accessibility: Way too tight for a wheelchair."

"Today was the second time we had visited Jake and Eli and though the food and service were very good a side of toast (2 slices) costing $5 was exorbitant. No bread was served at lunch as it is at dinner so I had asked for crackers or bread to have with my salad and our server gave the impression she would just include it with the meal. I would never have ordered it had we been told the cost. That is more than an entire loaf. Quite disappointing, especially on Christmas eve."

"Truly fine food served in a very professional manner at an historic setting. A walk through the grounds and seeing the historical pictures are a must. When we entered the Garden Patio there was a smoke from a decorative fire that was taken care of when we commented as we were seated. The food served was perfectly created and each of four different requests were thoroughly enjoyed."

"What a charming little place! I've been wanting to eat here for a while, and it certainly didn't disappoint! This spot is rich in history and has a cozy atmosphere. The food was great, clearly made from scratch—or at least it tasted that way. I’m not sure if the portion sizes justify the prices, or if it's just the inflation we're all dealing with these days. Overall, it was a good experience. If you enjoy home-style cooking and are looking for a place that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, this is the spot for you! It's a favorite among locals as well. Plus, they offer freshly baked cakes and cheesecakes! There’s even outdoor seating available. Would I recommend it? Absolutely!"

"I found some great sale items in the store and the food was delicious, as always. I usually get the four vegetable plate meal and it never disappoints. Just be cautious in the parking lot as people are often moving quickly. The restaurant is kid-friendly with a children's menu and plenty of games and toys available. There is wheelchair accessibility with parking spots and no steps to navigate. Overall, it's a great spot for a dinner meal."

"Although the food Wes good we were a bit disappointed when we saw the menu prices seemed to be double of what we saw on line. That aside food and service was good. We had Chowder, the Taco Special and Clams And Muscles in a garlic broth. The bread they served with the clam/muscle entree was the best part of the eating experience. I found the Broth that the shellfish entree was extremely weak. Being from the East Coast I am used to my shellfish having a more fishy taste. The Clam chowder rated a 3.5 on a scale of 5 and the Tacos were fresh and I would recommend the shrimp over the blackened fish. I was a bit disappointed that our server did not offer complimentary bread."

"What was once owned by two settlers is now recently owned by a new family that decided to change nothing of the menu when purchased because of what a local favorite restaurant this is, and I can see why. Warm welcomes, great staff, amazing and well-priced drinks! No wonder this place is a spot for locals and travelers! My mom got the Greek breakfast, my father the biscuits and gravy and I got the chicken and waffles with ROSEMARY SYRUP. oh-em-geeeeeee that syrup was so good I think I'm going to start infusing my syrup with it at home! Seriously, what a great idea! Needless to say, we all devoured our delicious meals and my mom and I usually don't finish it but the lamb in her omelette was juicy and crispy that just perfected the omelette. Good chunks of meat in the gravy and a lovely, and not dry, biscuit underneath for my dads meal. I highly suggest coming here if you're in the area looking for a great breakfast with a hometown feel and an overall great experience. Look no further than MelRose! And you won't be disappointed!"

"For about twenty years here. Never had a bad meal. The renovation added a beautiful taste to the culinary experience. Currently it seems to have been a price increase in most of the meals, but I believe that increase is above the board with most restaurants trying to stay solvent. If you're in town or just over, you'll fall for a hearty meal. You won't regret it."

"I would highly recommend Childers catering services. The food was incredible and the service was outstanding. The food was delivered to our house and set up. The caterer stayed to make sure everything was perfect. Will definitely have them cater an event again."

"Victoria’s Country Cookin’ has become one of our favorite restaurants in Myrtle Beach since we recently became locals in the area. Our favorite days of the week due to lunch dinner specials are Monday (Fried Pork Chops), Tuesday (Cube Steak), and Thursday (Turkey Dressing), plus count me for the open face Roast Beef, on which day the lands! The specials usually run $8.99 and includes tea or coffee. My favorite day is Friday when they ran out of the Shepherds Pie and I chose the Fish Chips. This consisted of 3 small hand-cut fish sticks, small portion of French fries, and a spice size cup Cole Slav (not a good value). This was my only disappointment from the menu, everything else was great, including the variety of desserts. I recommend giving Victoria’s an attempt, because based on the numerous articles we tried from the menu, we were very happy with everything on the menu. Make sure to stop early a day because they run from some daily specials and also some desserts due to the popularity of this article. Enjoy!"
