"First and foremost, the food was a letdown. Their new menu boasts dinner items starting at $15, and honestly, I expected much better for that price. Most of what we ordered was overly salty. I had the Bang Bang Hang (as shown in the picture), and it was the worst dish I’ve ever had. The noodles were not only extremely salty but also poorly mixed; even after I tried to mix it myself, it was still salty. The portion size was generous, which might explain the price, but I didn’t even consider taking home leftovers (the second picture shows what was left). My friends ordered two rolls, but I was so frustrated that I didn’t even try any. They mentioned that the deep-fried roll wasn't cooked properly, but I couldn't offer any feedback on that.
Then there was our waiter, who seemed to have some serious issues with service. After a long wait for someone to attend to us, we placed our food and drink orders all at once. Later, our waiter returned with a tray holding 4 glasses of water — and some straws. But the straws were just lying on a wet tray like they were afterthoughts. What shocked me most was when he delivered the water to us, picked up the straws with his bare hand, and then went to the next table to give them the straws. It was such a bizarre moment! All four of us were stunned, and despite my irritation, I joked with my friends, “Maybe he thinks we don’t deserve straws?” We eventually had to ask another server for straws since our waiter rarely came back to our table.
For an appetizer, we ordered Sang’s salad. When it arrived, our waiter brought it with 4 plates and just one pair of chopsticks. The three of us were left wondering how we would eat without any utensils until we could flag down someone else for chopsticks. I’m not picky — I can use chopsticks, a fork, or even a spoon for salad — but I still expected at least one utensil for each of us.
Later, my friend had to call out for the waiter just to get a napkin, and he returned with only a single cloth napkin! We were surprised, as we expected paper napkins, but figured they might be going for an eco-friendly approach. Still, shouldn’t he provide at least one for each of us? We laughed it off and waited a while until we could catch him again to ask for more napkins. Disappointingly, he only brought back another single napkin. At that point, I really stopped bothering to ask him for anything else.
I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt; perhaps he was new, inexperienced, or just overwhelmed by how busy the restaurant was. But that goodwill evaporated when I noticed that the two tables around us seemed to receive all his attention. We were positioned right between them, so there was no way he could miss us — he simply chose to ignore us. My friend agreed, saying she felt the same way. I'm not one to judge others harshly, but it was disheartening to experience such poor service."
